Tara's is staffed by a wonderful family, who are all incredibly lovely, & the loving laid-back vibe. On his second visit, he marched right up the door anticipating his doggy makeover. Matt did a crazy thorough job getting his fur off for the summer (check their FB page, you'll know it when you see it), & while their family operation is small, I've never trusted a stranger with our dog more. 19/10 stars, will absolutely return!

I asked for a Teddy Bear cut and now he is hacked. When I first brought him home four years ago, I did not know better and sent him to Pet Smart who did a much better job than this place. I called and spoke with an assistant manager and then the manager who offered to even out his coat (the assistant manager admitted the groomer was new). NOPE! I paid extra $10 to have his teeth brushed - check out the picture. I was able to scrape off the plaque with my fingernail! The pictures tell the truth - she even shaved the top of his tail! The final picture is from one week before this botch job! It was at our 3rd Scent Work Trial Where he won four first places, a second and a third! Thank goodness our season is over until spring. The staff was very welcoming and answered all of our questions prior to arriving. When we got there I felt prepared and not overwhelmed, even though my dogs were SO excited and just trying to run through the doors to play with the other dogs. The gentleman asked some clarifying questions about the dogs and what they enjoy or don't enjoy. I found this to ease my comfort in where I was leaving my dogs. It showed they wanted to give my pups personal attention even though I'm sure there were many other dogs at day care. The final touch, a report card for BOTH dogs at the end of the day. What was better is that they clearly took time with my dogs because the report was spot on to their behaviors and how we see them interact at home. I really loved receiving this so thank you Red Dog!
