(being a locally owned business) We purchased 17 appliances for 3 homes with them in a six month period. We have had issues with one gas range since receiving it. Grand Pappy's sent a repair person to fix it 6 times in 7 months. The problem has still not been fixed. At what point will they replace the stove that is brand new and under warranty? They advised us to go directly to the manufacturer to replace the stove . The manufacturer told us to deal directly with the retailer we bought the appliance from. It has been over 3 months since the last time the repair man came and we are still waiting on a part they had to order. We have contacted Grand Pappy's several times to have this resolved with absolutely no success. It has now been nearly 10 months of them putting us off. After buying 17 appliances with them, we would have thought they would like to keep our business, but obviously they don't care at all about their customers. We will never purchase from them again.

On several different occasions while I was in trying to solve a plumbing issue, different staff offered and was able to help (although since I'm a guy, I never asked for help - cause I know it all). I had been there so often over the course of a couple of days - they recognized me. Sad, I know. I dropped my phone off - and they called my wife to say they couldnt fix my phone because the vibrate on my phone is broken, which makes it a replacement phone. They said it could take around 3 days or so - to send my phone out for a new one, which I couldn't do because I run a business and my phone is used for work. So I decided to schedule an appointment and take the day going to the Coquitlam apple store to get a replacement phone (same day). After being there for 5 minutes, and I explained what london drugs said - they looked at my phone and turned the vibrate setting from OFF to ON. There was nothing broken. So now, its not a replacement phone and its back to being a screen repair. And unless I wanted to stay in the mall for another 4 hours in Coquitlam, I needed to reschedule. So back to london drugs I went, where they let my phone sit for 2 days.. (i just picked it up / because i was sick of being sidelined, regardless of the inconvenience I was caused.). My screen is still broken. When they spoke with my wife, and she told them i needed the phone for work - their response was "yeah, everyone says that." Will drive to mission to have it fixed. Called to book an appointment to diagnose issue with my washing machine. Was told that the next…read moreavailable appointment would be 3 days later, which I agreed to. After being explained the cost of the call out and that a tech would be calling me first thing in the morning the day of the appointment, and provided all my contact info, ie name, address, phone number, email address and method of payment, I was then told that my appointment was booked. On the day of the scheduled appointment, I didn't received a call first thing in the morning as promised. At 10:45 am I decided to call to find out what was going on. The same man who booked the appointment answered the phone and asked for my address to find out on the status of my appointment. He said he couldn't find me on the computer and schedule and couldn't provide an explanation. He asked when I had called to book the appointment so I not only told him when but that he had even asked and wrote down all my personal information. He still couldn't find my info and didn't even apologize and tried to make it right. I told him to cancel and that I'd call a more reliable repair business. To me, this is just a reflection of the kind of service I would likely be getting from that business. I can't recommend them at all and in all honesty I wouldn't take a chance if you are looking for a reliable small appliances repair business in the Chilliwack area.

My dishwasher was not working properly. I called Sardis Appliance Repair. Many years ago when the…read morebusiness was at 45934 Silver Avenue I bought parts from them and I was very happy with the service, so I thought I would call them in to fix my dishwasher. It now says that their office is in Chilliwack at 46598 Portage Street. On Tuesday I got a text message from the technician that he would be in later that day. When the technician got to my house I was working outdoors so my wife took him in to check out the dishwasher. He was there for 4.5 minutes. He told my wife that the dishwasher needed to be replaced as it would cost more to repair it. I found out after she had paid him that he did not test the dishwasher but asked her what was the problem. She told him that the dishes at the top weren't washing properly. From what my wife told him he decided that the motor was defective. I should have paid my wife as the technician never checked out it out and didn't test anything. When I got the charge it said that it came from One Click Appliance Repair in Vancouver. Obviously, Sardis Appliance is a front for a repair place in Vancouver. They charged me $140 for 4.5 minutes of nothing that's over $1800 an hour. If he had actually checked it out that would have been doable. The technician told my wife that he had another repair in Chilliwack. At this point, I don't even know if it is repairable or not as Sardis Appliance Repair can't be trusted.
