My compressor fan motor started screeching. A quick internet search indicated the fan motor should…read morebe replaced and doing so was fairly easy. I pulled the old motor off to get the amperage and RPMs, but then had trouble finding someone that would sell me a replacement. I finally found these guys and the price of the motor seemed very reasonable (1/4 HP, 1075 RPM, $65 + tax). They cautioned me to ensure power was off and to take pictures of the wiring, both of which I had already done, but I appreciated them giving the advice. Word of advice: I got the AC back up and working with only one hitch, the fan rotation was wrong. I noticed it felt hot while standing next to it and didn't think that was normal, a quick internet search confirmed it. The motor was turning the wrong way, blowing air down and into the compressor unit instead of up and out. A bad capacitor will apparently cause the motor to turn in the wrong direction, but in my case, the motor is reversible and I just had to swap the yellow and black wires.

I can not speak highly enough about Jason and Reid, and my experience with them. A contractor I…read morehired, had hired a welder to do my guest house stairs. Long story short, 3 months later they still weren't done. I happened to walk my dog one afternoon and ran into RCR Squared doing some welding work for our HOA neighborhood mailboxes. I asked Reid if he would come give me an opinion on something that didn't make sense to me but I'm not a welder so what would I know. Reid was gracious enough to come take a look while his team continued working on the mailboxes. When Reid saw the stairs he was in shock and could not believe what he was seeing. He then filmed a 10 minute video pointing out all the things that were done incorrectly, not to code and that were extremely dangerous for me to send to my contractor. I had been waiting 3 months for these stairs and desperately needed to be able to get into the guest house, as we were going to be up there during the construction on my main house that was starting in 2 weeks (thank god I have a different contractor for my main house). Reid & Jason gave me a bid to demo and rebuild the stairs and said they could do it right away and get it done quickly. I told them as much as i wanted to hire them I was having another welder come look, just to get another opinion and would get back to them. A welder my main contractor knows and trusted and he confirmed everything Jason and Reid had told me but couldn't do the job for 3 months and that wasn't an option. So I called them back and hired them. Honestly, I think Reid and Jason took pity on me and squeezed in my project. They started the following Monday. They thought they could get the basic stairs built in 3 days (with no trim or paint) so we could get up there before July 4th holiday, but because they had to redo the lower section of the stairs that they originally thought they could keep, it didn't get done till the following week. They took off for the holiday weekend and were back early Tuesday morning. At the time the temperature drastically changed and got ridiculously hot and of course the stairs were in full sun. It was brutal but they came in everyday with a smile. The whole team was very friendly and hard working. By Friday they had the stairs done and primed so we were able to move stuff uptairs that we desperately need out of the main house over the weekend and they came back on Monday to finish the painting. RCR square was truly a godsend to me. If I hadn't have run into them that day, and Reid didn't take a few minutes to look at the stairs I would NEVER have known until someone got hurt, which could have been years down the line, just how dangerous these stairs were. The weight of the stairs also could have taken down my storage shed and garage because the proper supports were not put inside the wall when they redid the storage shed and landing. What a nightmare that could have been. The main things I want you to know from my experience with them are that they have a very experienced team, they show up when they say they will, and work as hard as they can to get your job completed on time. They can't control holidays and weather but they will work as hard as they can to get your job done correctly. They literally got my stairs done exactly when I needed them done. I would have been royally screwed without them. Can't not speak more highly of all of these men! Thank you Jason, Reid and all the guys. You all saved me and are truly the BEST!!!
