I needed some sheet metal plenums fabricated for an AC renovation project and was referred to D.A. Warden by another company. I called and spoke with Doug Hill at their Georgetown location. Doug was a great help in putting together a quote and making some recommendation on the details of my request (e.g., adding a lip to the plenum where it mates to the air handler and whether or not to add sound deadening material). They completed the job within their estimated time (1.5 weeks) and the price for the finished product was reasonable.
Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of this company's existence when I started sourcing other parts for the project and started with the big box stores. The selection at the major national retailers is, of course, poor in both quantity and quality. D.A. Warden Company, though, had all of the parts I was not able to locate in the big box stores in better quality for a competitive price.
They are clearly primarily a company that deals primarily with professionals; however, unlike many of these firms, D.A. Warden also sells retail and does so without outrageous markups. As another review on their Round Rock location stated, they offer a true the old-school hardware store experience. Courteous, knowledgeable staff, and an excellent selection of on-the-shelf product. If you need sheet metal fabrication or HVAC parts, this business is highly recommended. read more
