Its a vacuum/mail shop, next to Gino's Italian Restaurant and Juarez Bakery
    Amy T.

Brought in my vacuum on Wednesday and got it back on Thursday, fixed and as good as new! In all honesty my vacuum hasn't worked like this since I got it. First just as a side note: 1) change your filters 2) change your belts 3) dont use the powders as they mess up your vacuum cleaner I was helped by Marla who is a very caring and super nice person. Its a family owned business and you can see they honestly care and when you are knowledgeable about your businesses it shows! Super friendly, caring honest folks! If you think your vacuum isn't acting right, bring it in, minimum of $15 to diagnose and of you decide to fix, it goes toward repairs, if they can't fix it-you owe NOTHING! My repairs only cost $36 and it was worth it as I was just prepared to buy a new vacuum. But I gave it one last shot and glad I did, its a good vacuum and has a lot of years of cleaning left in it. :)

You don't see any wilting or dying plants you only see thriving plants. And also, they have such unusual plants that I don't find anywhere else. Today I saw LITHOPS which are living rocks. They're not actually rocks are actually little plants, but they look like rocks. So interesting! I also found Coral Bells in two different colors. I cannot resist these. They are going to make an excellent addition to my garden. This store is medium priced, but their plants are high-quality. I will again come to the store to browse, and most likely I will purchase something else Amazing! In addition to plants, they have pots and trellises and soil and everything that you would need to build your garden. Their employees are also quite knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend you visit.

Last year I mentioned that if you're trying to completely re-do an entire garden in one trip, big box stores can sometimes be cheaper. BUT this year I tried something different I made a list on the Home Depot app and decided to stop by Round Rock Garden Center first to see what I could actually get cheaper locally. And honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up getting multiple garden beds worth of plants here ...three tomato plants (including a beautiful variety called Rapunzel suggested by a worker who didn't eat them but thought they're beautiful thanks girlie), four gorgeous marigolds, two sage plants, and the last Spanish lavender they had. The herb prices were great, and I loved that I could buy individual veggie plants instead of being forced to buy them in pairs like some places. The selection was also really nice they had varieties I definitely didn't see at Home Depot. What really stood out though was the staff. When I was checking out, I asked if they had any lavender because I hadn't spotted it (I'm honestly a little blind and sometimes overlook things ). One of the ladies at the register was so kind and actually walked out from behind the counter to show me exactly where the plant was. Another staff member in a pink staff shirt even walked me all the way to the back of the property to show me where both the English and Spanish lavender were. They were incredibly patient and helpful, and never made me feel silly for missing what was probably right in front of me. I ended up choosing the Spanish lavender because it was already blooming and a bit more established, and I'm really excited to get it planted. Thank you to the team at Round Rock Garden Center for being so friendly and helpful today. I'm really grateful for the experience and for the beautiful plants!

The staff was busy at the counter with other customers, so it was hard to get help that day beyond a friendly greeting. But I did find out that they have far more options available online than what is displayed there. Prices, barring a sale, range from mid to high. I didn't find anything that called out to me that day, and I didn't have time to deal with online ordering, but I'll definitely check them out in advance for future projects. I've never seen so much chrome and tacky bling in one place in my life. Trying to keep a positive outlook, I walked into the store despite wanting to flee for my life. I kept thinking it would get better as I made my way through the store. Most businesses display their newest and best stuff at the entrance so that wasn't a good indicator but I was trying to keep a positive attitude. There were a few fixtures that might have been okay but mostly it was chrome chrome chrome. Just because an item has a 1k price tag doesn't mean it is good. I can say the store is clean because it would have to be with all that seizure inducing chrome. There is an elevated area in the back of the store with ceiling fans and garage sale style foldable tables upon which was junk for sale. I wish it wasn't junk but when you look at what appears to be stick on light strips, really what else can it be called? That was the entire store. Their "sale" from February was called their "Love Sale" which is pretty cringe-worthy. Positives: Store is clean Staff is friendly They have Saturday hours.

That's all well and good, but where do you find little chunks of five or six different types of wood? After some calls, I was steered towards cabinetmakers and luckily called Terry. He was incredibly kind on the phone and had us swing by his shop the next day to pick up some wood pieces. His shop is huge, and he's been there since '84, so one can only assume he really knows what he's doing. We got there this morning, and he already had six different pieces of wood picked out for us with the type of wood written right on it. This kind act (and the fact that his shop was quite impressive and he's been doing it 30 plus years) is absolutely enough for me to know that when we redo our cabinets, Terry is the guy we'll be calling.
