Nick is a clear expert in his craft. He has experience, know-how and is someone who takes pride in his work and work product. I've lived in my condo for more than 20 years and have never had my dryer vent cleaned. I'm getting ready to embark on some remodeling work in my laundry closet and decided that it was time to freshen up the infrastructure to be ready for the fresher look of the space. I did some research and Nick came up as a top-notch option on both Yelp and Google. That says a lot - to have consistently great reviews, over time, across both review platforms. He was pleasant to connect with to schedule the job and he was clear about pricing in advance. He showed up within the appointment window and quickly got to work. He kept me informed of his progress along the way - offering tips and tricks for things for me to consider. He was honest about what would or wouldn't be worthwhile in terms of my investment and showed me the difference of his work for the dryer vent cleaning. This was outstanding value for his impact from my perspective. And he even was friendly and allowed my Dad to ask questions to him while he worked. All in all, Nick is now MY washer and dryer guy for any needs I have in the future...and the reality is he should be yours, too! read more

Nick was very professional and competent. He explained exactly what was going on and was able to fix it in good time. And as a plus, he's a nice guy! read more

Outstanding Service from Nick Cattuna - The Washer and Dryer Guy! Nick Cattuna is truly a top-notch professional! He came out to repair my parents' dryer and some damaged duct work, and we couldn't be more impressed. The exterior dryer vent had been affected by roofing work -- the vent runs to the roof -- and Nick handled the repairs with total expertise. He arrived right on time, was courteous and professional from start to finish, and took the time to explain exactly what needed to be fixed and why. He clearly broke down the cost before starting any work -- no surprises, just honest, up-front communication. Nick had every part he needed right there on his truck and got the job done efficiently. On top of that, his great personality made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. I recommend Nick without any reservations -- if you need washer, dryer, or vent repair, he's the one to call! read more

Efficient and reliable at a reasonable price. Shows up on time. Gave an accurate estimate. Completed repair same day.

I'd give Nick 6 stars if I could. He clearly wanted to do what is best for us. Our dryer gave out and he came exactly when I asked, arrived on time, spent a lot of time with no up-sale figuring it all out for us and fixing what was fixable. He educated me as he went along at each step and clearly knew his business. His assessment/diagnosis and recommendations made perfect sense. I would definitely use him again and highly recommend him to everyone. The cost was very reasonable and made me aware of it before starting. read more

The Washer and Dryer Guy was referred to me by a family member. Nick showed up on time to work on our dryer. He was very pleasant and polite. Nick is an expert and provided us with 5 Star service! in fact, he proved himself to be a true craftsman! It was a pleasure doing business with him and he went beyond our expectations! His pricing was very reasonable as well! read more

We've had Nick out two years in a row now to clean our dryer vents. We purchased an older home a couple of years ago and I noticed a slight smell when running our dryer. Nick came out and cleaned out what was probably 10 years worth of bird nests in the vent that connects to the exterior of the house. It's not entirely flush with the side of the house so crafty little birds can get in there. This year he found another nest and also emptied out a bunch of built up lent from inside the house (I clean the lint trap ever cycle, it it still accumulates apparently!) Nick is super friendly, very free with information which I always greatly appreciate, and his work has been great quality--no more smell coming from the dryer! We'll definitely have him out annually just to clean the vents. read more

Very professional, knows what he's doing, and very responsive. He was able to get over to our rental property relatively quickly (dryer was making an awful noise), and he was able to quickly diagnose the issue. Tenants are happy and so are we. If you have an issue with either your washer or dryer (and are in his service area), he's "your guy" to take care of it. read more

Nick responded back to my call very quickly on the same day. He arrived in the time range that he said that he would be there . He took his time to explain all the details to me so I would understand what was causing the issue so I would understand what parts he would need to replace. He is a small business owner and he provided excellent service ! read more

Agitating but not spinning. Yep. That pretty much summed up me and the week or two I was having just prior to the time my washing machine started to do the same thing. In the process of searching for an appliance repair company, I came across "The Washer Dryer Guy". Great name. Simple and easy to remember. I liked it was a small business, a one-man shop actually. He answers his own phone and responds to voice mails, and handles his own schedule. He called back almost immediately, asked a couple of questions and we agreed on a date and a two-hour window of time on that day. The Washer-Dryer Guy was true to his word. He arrived when he said he would, confirmed the information he had already and went to work. About 10 minutes later it was all over but the news. The machine was a goner. Repairs were possible, but would cost more than a new machine. He left the decision up to me and didn't apply pressure one way or the other. Since I was no longer agitating and had never been spinning, it was an easy decision. It'll be an even easier decision to call The Washer Dryer Guy again, but hopefully not too soon. read more

Great customer service, knowledgeable and well priced. I will be recommending Nick to everyone I know

I wholeheartedly recommend Nick for your washer and dryer repair. I have a 30-year old dryer that I want to keep but it was no longer running hot. He found a bird's nest in the vent, replaced the outside cover and came back with the needed part to repair it. It's working like new! He is reasonable and really cares about trying to deliver a high-quality service. read more

Not only did Nick fix the problem I called him for, but he cleaned out the dryer, inspected it, and fixed another potential problem (a part that hadn't completely broken yet, but was about to break and could have resulted in a fire). I have to say, if I would have known it had all of those problems, I probably would have just bought a new dryer. However, the service call was about 1/3 the cost of a new dryer, so I still think I came out on top. I would 100% recommend Nick and will use him for any future issues. read more

After our move we noticed our washer dryer both needed servicing. We found out guy. Quick easy service and thorough. So if you need yours cleaned up and serviced I gotta guy! You will be happy too! read more

I picked this guy because he had good yelp reviews. After he did the work, in a reasonable time at a reasonable price, I can see why. He explained and showed me everything that was wrong, and even gave me tips on how to make my dryer last a bit longer. Will definitely call him again, should the need arise. read more

Our washer wasn't rinsing all the soap so we called The Washer & Dryer guy. He returned our call within 10 minutes and set up an appointment time with us the next day. He was right on time for the appointment and was done in less than hour. He was so nice and really educated us on what happened and what we should do going forward. We could tell he really cared about his work and genuinely wanted to help us out and help prevent future issues. A few days later our washer wasn't draining. We called him again and he was there the next morning. He again was so nice and helpful. It's so hard to find good people who do great work at a great price. I highly recommend this company! read more

Very personable guy and really knows his stuff. Not only will he do a great job with repairs and vent cleaning, but he will provide lots of valuable info and advice! Fair pricing. Definitely recommend! read more

Great service, very honest, very reliable and the only guy I'll allow to work on my appliances.

Don't know why this pegs me in SF except my old address. But in Cedar Park, TX and Nick was great. Showed me what was wrong with my junk Electroluxe washer and gave great recommends on replacement versus cost of circuit repairs. Cleaned dryer vent on the spot because he had a spot in his schedule. Found a birds nest! Yikes, glad I had him out that day! read more

Nick came out to fix both the washer and dryer that are about to 10-15 years old. My washer had water underneath it before when the load was finished, and the clothes were soaked. The dryer also was not drying well, and had gradually become slower. So he came out and fixed both of them for a lot less money than replacing them. He has extra replacement parts and put them in. Plus, He also cleaned up the area underneath them and around the areas. He's very skilled, professional, punctual, and hardworking...the job was done within a couple hours. I recommend him highly and will call him again if any further issues come up. read more

Nick came out and fixed my whirlpool dryer. Came out assessed the problem and quickly went and bought part I needed. He was also able to clean out my dryer vent and dryer. I called on a Saturday and he called back Monday and was out at my house on Tuesday. Price was fair and he gave me estimate of total before he completed. Will definitely use this company if I need my washer or dryer serviced. read more

My dryer was not working correctly any longer. I called at the end of a work day and received a call back the same day and scheduled the visit for the next day. He was professional and honest about what was wrong with the machine stating that I needed a new machine. He said it would cost just as much if not more to fix the machine so he suggested I buy a new one. While he was there he cleaned out my vents in preparation for the new machine. He also made suggestions on new dryers which was so helpful. I would highly recommend this company! read more

Nick is terrific!! We was able to fix the Samsung Dryer with the parts that he had on his truck. He arrived promptly on time, worked efficiently while answering my questions, cleaned up and took the waste with him! The dryer heating element died because it was backed up with lint! Not only did he clean out the whole dryer, he cleaned out the hose all the way to the outside vent! Great guy, Highly Recommended! read more

My mom's 20 plus year old dryer wasn't working so I checked Yelp for recommendations to get it repaired. I selected Nick, who owns The Washer & Dryer Guy, because of all the great reviews. I called him to go over the problem and he was able to come out a day or so later to do the work. He quickly figured out the problem (a damaged heat coil and some fuses) and repaired it. It turned out my mom needed to get her dryer vent pipe cleaned out as well (something that was long over due and was the reason why her dryer stopped working). We were able to get that done as well very quickly too. Today Nick called to see how everything was going and if we were able to get the dryer vent pipe cleaning addressed. I told him that it went well and that the dryer was working great. Thanks again Nick! read more

Nick came out today to diagnose a problem with my washer. It is a Maytag Bravos that is only a few years old. I smelled a slight burning smell at the end of a load the other night and put in a Call to Nick the next day and we made an appointment for the following morning. Nick arrived a few minutes early for the appointment. I have to admit to feeling a little foolish, as the first thing he looked at was the detergent bottle. Yup. You guessed it. I managed to pick up a jug of NON HE detergent. According to Nick, the burning smell was most likely the pump running too long trying to get suds out of the drum when it thought it had more water. Fortunately the pump was not damaged and all of the codes checked out after a test cycle. Nick only charges $70 for a service call. Much lower than some. I got a $70 lesson in reading labels, but I could not be happier with the service. Nick is a great guy and took the time to explain to me why the extra suds can mess with the operation of the washer. I have dealt with people in the past that would have jumped in and started replacing parts. (Hey! Burning smell??? That part has got to go!) Not so with Nick. He took the time to check that everything was still working correctly and that everything is operational with the washer. When I have problems with my washer and dryer in the future, there is no doubt that I will call The Washer and Dryer Guy again. read more

True expert, very knowledgeable, prompt & friendly service. Came out to diagnose my washer, it was kaput but provided great tips & advice on buying a new washer, best deals, as well as long term maintenance & care. Thank you! read more

Wow, I'm so grateful to Nick. I left a message on his voicemail and he returned the call promptly. I gave him my address right away because I didn't want to waste his time on the phone if I were not in his service area. As it turns out, I was not in his service area. With most companies, that would have been the end of the call. With Nick, he still wanted to help me and he stayed on the phone in order to give me advice. He is extremely knowledgeable and kind! Great customer service! Thank you so much, Nick. Details: Nick asked questions about my washing machine and was able to diagnose the problems right away. He knew my model and he knew the common issues associated with that model. He determined that my machine had two specific, common (and costly) repair issues. He advised me that the expense of repairing these issues would exceed the value of the machine. I had suspected that and so this news wasn't shocking. The bottom line is that Nick went above and beyond the call of duty for no money and he saved me a ton of money in service and labor fees. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more

I would highly recommend Nick! He was prompt, efficient, reasonably priced and didn't try to sell me any additional updates or repair on my 8 year old dryer. He is super knowledgeable and explained everything - without hesitation, I would recommend him! read more

Nick is awesome! He knows his business inside out. He arrived at the time of our scheduled appointment, and was professional throughout. He was empathetic when confirming my 25yo washer could not be repaired, and was straightforward with answers to my many questions on what to look for or avoid on my upcoming washer purchase. Before leaving my driveway he even texted me info on a model I may like based on our discussion. I highly recommend The Washer and Dryer Guy for your repair needs. read more

The washer & dryer guy provides knowledgeable and honest service. He let us know upfront that it would be our best option to replace our washer than to try to repair the transmission. We also appreciated that he gave us brand recommendations for our next washer. read more

Nick did an awesome job on our Washer. We did not want to pay the crazy fees of some of the big companies so we found him online. He only charges $70 to come out(compared to $160) and really cares. Two thumbs up for Nick, The Washer and Dryer Guy! Our washing machine broke mid-cycle. I called other places about coming to repair it, but one wanted me to wait at least a week and the other wanted to charge a service fee of $150. I called Nick, who was able to schedule our repair for the next day and only had a service fee of $70. He arrived within the 2 hour window he said he would, calling first to let me know he was enroute. He was able to diagnose the problem, and had the part with him so could fix it on the spot. Voila! A working washing machine, quickly and at a reasonable price. Since he was there, we also had him clean our dryer vent, which was long overdue and which he did thoroughly and efficiently. He was professional, cleaned his work area, and even offered extra suggestions about related things (drain pan/drains/dryer vent flap) and gave the advice freely. I highly recommend The Washer and Dryer Guy. read more
