Dishes are often cooked at the diner's table on metal grills that are built into the center of the table where diners can enjoy doing there own grilling/bbq at the dinner table. The Chinese Hot Pot also known as Shabu Shabu in Japan, and in Singapore and Malaysia the Steamboat. Like fondue but replaced with a simmering metal pot of stock at the centre of the table where diners place their ingredients into the pot to cook. The cooked food is usually eaten with a variety of dipping sauces. Typical Hot Pot dishes include thinly sliced meat, vegetables, dumplings and seafood.
