PLEASE NOTE: We ordered delivery from Wagamama through Deliveroo. No matter when or where I am in the UK, I'm always gonna get a Wagamama. My recent visit to Bath was no different: my whole existence professionally speaking is about uplifting and supporting local, but sometimes a girl just wants something quick, reliable, and satisfying. And when a fast casual place has vegan food that's alllllllwaaaaaaaaaays good? Let her eat. A special shout-out to the staff here this time. Something I ordered wasn't available. LIke Wagamama had literally just discontinued it entirely, but hadn't updated their website or Deliveroo pages. The staff tried to call/text me repeatedly to say they couldn't fill my order but would be happy to swap it out for anything else I wanted. After an hour of not hearing from me (my bad, I'm so sorry!), they cancelled my order. Deliveroo was quick to refund me, and I put in a new order right away. This Wagamama location expedited the order (eg it still arrived pretty close to when my first order would have) and was EXTREMELY generous with the portion size. I know this isn't the norm and not what you should expect, but... there's something to be said about people still trying and still offering good customer service. My usual order?: The Vegatsu (tofu and soya protein coated in crispy panko breadcrumbs, sticky white rice, and their classic aromatic katsu curry sauce) topped with two or three side orders of their kimchi, a couple pouches of their chili oil, and a drizzle of their firecracker sauce (as well as a squeeze of lime and handful of chopped up coriander from Waitrose nearby). Add an order of edamame to it, and this is as good as it gets! read more

Probably my favourite chain restaurant in England. I lived abroad for a long time and it was the only place I missed. This location is one of my favourites! They have a great menu with loads of different choices and I love that most items come with a bit of a kick and loads of flavour. The curries are my favourite, but I also really like the beef brisket hot pot. So much flavour! I will say that I do find some of the food a little salty, but I'm very sensitive to salt. I wouldn't eat here everyday as it's not low-calorie food, but I definitely recommend it! read more

This is the Bath outpost of the chain noodle house with a fun-to-say name. Getting in late on a rainy night, we wanted something family friendly, hot, and fast. Wagamama really fit the bill. The ramen was really good, with some interesting choices of flavors. The pork ramen bowl was hearty, great broth, and just the right portion. I also tried the vegetable katsu curry and the chicken teriyaki rice bowl, and both were well done and flavorful. The room was light and bright without being too harsh or uncomfortable. Shared bench style tables, so it should be good for groups. I could imagine it getting quite loud in busy times, although I have no direct experience of that. Service was a little slow, even though it was late at night and the restaurant was almost empty. Otherwise, it was a good experience and I would return again. read more

I was looking for a ramen craving while visiting England. The service at the many locations I went to was great. They also had a sparking sake which was tasty! However, if you're looking for authentic ramen... this is not the place unfortunately. Many of my friends loved this place, but they have not experienced authentic Japanese ramen. I felt the broth was a little lacking in flavor and the noodles were okay. I will say the chicken katsu with curry was actually really good. read more

Service was attentive and friendly. Great service! Tried their Chicken Katsu Curry- not impressed. Said the chicken was breaded with panko- it's not. The breading was thin, tough, and almost skin-like, and over cooked. The chicken was also flattened to its dying breath and dry as well. If you know proper panko, you will know that they are made with chunkier pieces of breading, are golden, with a thicker batting, Rice was a weird texture, a bit al-dente. As for the curry, I was expecting Japanese curry, but instead was a weird mix of yellow Thai curry with Indian spicyness. The salad greens were either so soaked in marinade it might've as well have been sauerkraut, or they were trying to hide the wilted pieces. Only thing tasty was the clouded lemonade. Would not recommend. They need to get their shit straight. read more

This is probably my worst experience having "Japanese food". The menu itself composed of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese dishes. If you had eaten at any of the mentioned cuisines you will be deeply disappointed just how bad the food tastes. The taste was merely a true presentation of how East Asian and South-East Asian should be. One of their signature "Wagamama ramen" was completely lost on taste. A mix up of pork, seafood, and chicken, bamboo shoots, water cress etc. Such a disappointment, the flavor got lost. Some other dishes like the bao buns were so bland as though no seasonings were added. read more

This restaurant has lots of options and is very family friendly. Ramen, tepenyaki options and donburi are some of the many options for diners here. We ordered some wok veggies and pork and chicken ramen with our bill coming to £22. Not bad food but it took around 10 minutes just to get our hot water and green tea. The service aspect could be improved but other then that it's a good place to bring the whole family for dinner. read more

If you are used to eating real Japanese food, this isn't it. Pho masquerading as ramen, bland curry that tastes sweet and karaage that is not breaded. It's not Japanese cuisine but is fairly popular with the English. It doesn't taste horrible but just don't come in expecting anything resembling actual Japanese food. read more

The best i've been to, from the friendly welcome to the fantastic food what a great meal.Food for thought the only thing missing was the check back to see if everything good?! I first went to Wagamama's with a group of work mates. We got seated quickly and the waiters were fast, friendly and efficient. This particular waiter, took our order, and did warn all 6 of us that maybe all our meals wont arrive at once. But we weren't bothered. As it was, all 5 turned up at once, but one was half our late. But as we were in no hurry, and the food was so, so good. This would not put us off. A lot of my friends are steak and chips types of people. But this certainly changed their views. 2 months later, we all went back for a 2nd visit. And again had a lovely meal. (although my friends had exactly the same) Its a fast paced restaurant, large tables and nice atmosphere. I like it so much, that I hope we visit there again tomorrow night. read more

Holy crap! I'm an international yelper now! I love wagamama. The setup of the restaurant is very minimalistic, with just a lot of white around and rows of long tables. My friends and I went during the day when it wasn't incredibly busy. The menu is pretty good - some of it a little strange, all of it a little healthy - but the food was pretty much like an international noodle's & co. if you only count the asian-inspired dishes - and in no way is that disappointing to my tastebuds. My friend ordered a rice dish that had an amazing gravy on it. The food was shaped into a crab, which made the experience that much more interesting. I ordered the amai udon, which was so, so tasty. You just look out on the old streets of Bath. Walk just down the street and you're at the Roman Baths. Love it. I've never been lucky enough to visit Japan, so unfortunately I've never tasted authentic Japanese food. As such, I really like Wagamamas - it might not be authentic, but it's definitely tasty! There are quite often 2-for-1 voucher offers available if you do a bit of research online before you visit, which also makes it great value. Food wise, I love the Chicken Katsu Curry - the dressing they use on the side salad is amazing! The ginger cheesecake is really good as well, but a bit pricey at around £4. The staff in this particular branch are really friendly and the large tables mean that it's a great place to come with a large group. I've always had a great time whenever I've visited. read more

For what it is, it gets full marks. I like this place for comfort food and freshness and a good balance of flavour. This particular branch is spacious and somehow feels a bit smarter than some. The lighting is really appealing. When I went recently I had really lovely service and food came quickly. I'm not sure I like the tables that have the bench only on one side. Scratch that. Wagamama in Bath is located in an airy old building and is somewhat cosier in feel than other branches of the Japanese food chain with it being broken into different areas as opposed to being one large cuisine. In consequence it is much quieter than usual and has a less busy feel although benches are still shared with other diners. The service is efficient but a bit slow but the food is excellent with the same noodle and rice based menu as the other branches. Children are very welcome and are catered for with their own menu. read more

The atmosphere in this place is brilliant and bustling. Confronted with the menu, I managed to tear myself away from the pork ribs to go for a more 'authentic' dish.....first mistake. While the food I'm sure was brilliant, it just wasn't to my taste. The reason for a 4 star review is that my girlfriend, who rarely eats Japanese food, has raved about this visit for days after. So while I'm not a fan of the Japanese style, I can still appreciate that wagamama does it really quite well. read more

I was completely surprised my the quality if the food at Wagamamas! From hearing it being previously described as a slightly more upmarket fast food chain I wasn't expecting much but found the food to be of a high quality whilst being quite healthy. I've never tried authentic Japanese food so not sure if Wagamamas quite lives up to that, however for what you get the value is great. Also, the portions are mammoth sized so make sure you only go if you're starving!! The restaurant itself is very sleek and modern with long tables which you do have to share with other parties but this isn't really an issue for me and just adds to the whole 'oriental' experience! read more

Always fantastic food and great service. I've been to lots of Wagamama's all around the world and the one in Bath is my favourite.
