Food was ok, i mean you dont really expect much for the price and thats more then fine, but customer service is bad, the person taking our order had a very bad attitude. I asked for a substitution of eggs for an item with my steak and she said they can't. Here's the kicker, at the time i didn't know they had a steak and egg item and this was never relayed too me or even suggested as a different option to order until my friend ordered it. Then she comes and just drops our food on the table. When my friend asked for some more jelly, she just rolled her eyes at us. I cannot express how disappointed i am with the service ive received. Not sure what was going on at this Waffle House this evening, but they were not busy at all and service was terrible. Our server had an attitude the whole time. Our silverware was slammed down on the table, we were rushed through the order process, and were told they didn't have any coffee because she didn't want to make any (she eventually put a pot on). Our food was slammed down on the table and my order was cold. It seemed like frustration from the day was being taken out on us. The restaurant was busy but they had plenty of help with most of them standing around talking. We sat in a booth with dirty floor with food scraps all over the place. I mentioned it to our waitress but just looked at me. Never asked us what kind of toast for our breakfast just brought white bread we usually get wheat we don't eat here very often only when traveling. The girl who waited on us looked bored to the max, actually sorry that I tipped her. We have a great experience at the Waffle House location, I read the reviews and either you liked the feel of the place or you don't. Our cook was fast and efficient. Ashley our server was extremely friendly and was great to our granddaughters! Today I visited the Waffle House on racetrack Road had my silverware slammed down on my table after waiting 15 minutes, but I think her name is Wendy someone training there tried to fix it. Watch my food. Sit on the counter after the cook was done with it while Wendy was standing around doing nothing Very rude. Never once asked for food was OK. Checked in on us. If we wanted refills just put the check on the napkin holder, slammed the syrup down out of wash tub of some sort got water on my daughter's plate with her waffle on it and syrup on my arm. This is very rude and inconsiderate behavior from any business. I think this place should be shut down and she should definitely be terminated from any job possibilities ever in her life because her customer service downright sucks. read more

Walking into the Waffle House for the first time was an indifferent experience for me. I have heard of several ghetto incidents happening at this food chain, so I can't lie and say I wasn't expecting some hands to be thrown. Unfortunately, the only life-threatening thing I saw there was an elderly man with a MAGA hat. On the bright side, my family's and my food was solid, especially the eggs, which were extra cheesy. Mind you, we're reminiscing about good times, and my sister starts preaching about "bacon, bacon, bacon." A conspiracy theory I've made is that the Waffle House brainwashes the elderly, as my grandmother completely forgot the word "syrup" when asking for it for my sister's waffles. This issue was forced upon her because the employees were mad that the waffles were not good enough alone for her to have to ask for a condiment. So I've been on the low carb diet for months. I wanted a ham and cheese omelette . After days of rain, I told hubby we were going to waffle house. I ordered a water with lemon. They didnt have lemon. I ordered a 3 egg ham and cheese omelette with a side of chewey bacon. What i got was a bit crispy bacon but it was good, and an omelette that was 2 eggs, 8 chunks of ham, and no cheese. I got up and left. Im done with waffle house. The food is swimming in oil and they cant get an order right. Just an omelette with nothing else was 6.00 last time i ordered one. Now I love Waffle House. But the blonde gal you have managing your place just wouldn't take my order. No words were exchanged, no tense situations, just me patiently waiting for 15 minutes and then asking if someone could take my order and the entire staff ignoring me. I even offered to order at the register and take it to my car and they just acted like no one was talking. It was the single strangest experience I have ever had trying to order food anywhere, in my entire life. I felt like I was being pranked by a candid camera show or something, I even waited in the parking lot for a few minutes to see if that was the case but no, they just did not seem to see or hear me. I am a professional singer so I know I was asking loud enough. It felt like I was being targeted honestly, and that the manager didn't want to do her job and was trying to cause drama. I just wanted some scattered covered smothered and peppered so I just ignored her little show and just to be sure I asked another guest if I had gone invisible, but he said I hadn't. So I left and went to the other WH down the road and was served cheerfully and the food was great. So I'd if you can get served here it might be good! As seniors we only go to these types of restaurants late in the evening when unable to eat earlier and now breakfast food seems like the best option. We love this Waffle House for a delicious brunch before visiting the nearby casino. They are following the PA regulations for seating and masks during this quarantine, but the wait was short. I love waffles and I love them even more when I can have them with pork chops and eggs 24/7!! I had their strawberry waffles and the waitress notified me that it wasn't real strawberry fruits in the waffle but I was fine with that! I love their hash browns that you can add almost any ingredient to. I usually pick mushrooms and onions and on occasion, cheese. The waitresses are friendly and it has a very homely feel to the place. There's also a touchscreen jukebox which you can download the touchtunes apps and play music straight from your phone. It's like "what to order??!", too many tremendous options....the only thing is, you have to be near a restroom that offers privacy in approximately 20-40 minutes, especially if you need to shred some brisk. The one thing for sure you can say, is that the chocolate milk is great. Also, the best way to get here is to travel via an AMC Wagoneer. This is a chain someone once mentioned to me was good. So when I was looking for a quick bite, I came here instead of the other fast food options in the area. I would have preferred a non-chain, but there did not seem to be one around. This is a small place, and now that I have seen them all over SC and GA I understand they all look the same. Usually LOVE to stop at a Waffle House when traveling, and saw this nearby one this weekend. So let me just start by saying walking into a waffle house you can't have very many expectations given the type of restaurant it is however I was severely disappointed even with the low standards going in... However, this was awful. They were on the busier side as the restaurant was mostly full and our server was prompt and came over to get our drink order and came back for our order however that's where the customer service started and ended. We got a steak and eggs and two Americans slams one with bacon and scrambled eggs and hash browns... the other with hasbrowns and grits and ham and eggs... They brought all of the meat out at one time and first so we had a steak ham and she brought over one sausage patty told her she drop the other one on the ground and we needed to wait and we informed her no one ordered sausage we had ordered bacon she then proceeded to pull out her notepad to verify... like what was she gonna do if it was the customers mistake?? Anyways. It was about five minutes before more parts of the order came and I probably waited about 10 minutes in total between receiving my ham and my waffle at the end I would appreciate it if everything came out at once or as close to possible together.... She also immediately handed us our checks upon delivering all of our food I noticed I was charged for grits but never received them so I had to get her attention in which I asked if they could just be taken off the bill because we didn't receive it she told me no that wasn't possible because she already wrote the bell so that at the very end of our meal she brought over grants after everyone was done eating She repeatedly sat down at the counter. All the workers were on their phones except the 2 grill people. She never checked in after bringing the food and bill so I had to flag her down AGAIN when we needed a box at the end.... The atmosphere of the place is fun and welcoming. The server was very attentive of our order and checked on us for refills. The quality of the food is very delicious and we liked how the food was made where we could see it. The place is decently clean even if it's open 24/7. We walked in and walked back out. The only 2 employees were sitting at a table. Every single table and counter was covered with dirty dishes. There was only one other couple eating so the staff obviously wasn't too busy to clean up. Even half off the restaurant was blocked off and those tables were dirty too. The waitress said "give me a minute and I'll clean off a table", we said we changed our minds and we're leaving she said ok. It was too dirty for us to consider staying. We come here about 6 times a year when we come shopping at Tanger Outlets. The food has always been great . The prices are great too. I always get the All-Star breakfast. You will be full for most of the day. I wish they had more Waffle houses around. They should consider building one in the Pittsburgh area.
