The best way breakfast spot from Indianapolis to the gulf. WH has the old times down and alive, friendly, cheap, plenty of familiar options with some great ideas like putting chili and gravy on hash! I love this Waffle House!! Me and my boyfriend go weekly for lunch/dinner. It's honestly the best Waffle House you could go to around here. The staff is always polite and they will come to your table and check on you and see if you need or want anything else. I haven't been to a Waffle House where the staff is that attentive. But not only is the staff amazing, the food is amazing. I know that all Waffle houses serve the same exact things but there's just something different about this one. Terrible service. Horrible food. The staff, totally racist and they made it obvious. I had 2 orders of grits. One was like soup and the other was so thick and gritty. When asked could I get grits of the same consistency their excuse was that's all we have. They said the cook was gone that initially made the grits. Then the waffle wasn't thoroughly cooked. This was a Togo order. When I asked for ketchup, syrup and butter. The attitude coming from the woman with the noise rings was piercing. Like you know she hate that we were even there. Then it was a short lady co-signing with her that we only can give you what we have. Neck rolling and just speaking to us like we were trash. I couldn't do anything but smile. I was so confused with why so much attitude was given to us. We were nothing but polite. When given the butter, it had moisture all around it. There was a male customer sitting at the counter. He was observing everything. He gave me a napkin to dry off the residue from the butter. Then when asked for plastic ware they threw it on the counter. The same man that gave me a napkin said to me I'm sorry, maybe you'll have better luck next time. I told him, thanks for being optimistic but it will not be a next time not here!!! The young petite young lady at the door and I guess like there greeter was the only one out of the entire staff that was polite! She spoke when we entired, tried to sit us but we ordered togo and thanked us when we left and told us to have a great day. The rest of the entire staff, undeniably racist and they showed it! The bathroom was clean and looked recently remodeled! We were here late for dinner (9p); come to think of it I have never had dinner at Waffle House before! I ordered the pork chops, they were great! Our food was ready so quick! Our server was super attentive, and they were all extremely friendly! This family of 3 just ate for less than $20 before tip! The absolute CLEANEST Waffle House I've ever been to...which I thought was an oxymoron!!! Great little breakfast place

Waffle House serves consistently flavorsome waffles wherever you may travel. At least this has been my experience. Even while helping out during the aftermath of the twisted sisters, ie. Hurricanes: Katrina, Rita and Wilma; WH was one of the few businesses open. Serving lunch and dinner is seldom touted but their sandwiches are delicious. However I only tried their supposed special waffles once, not recommended. Stick to what their famous for, the original. I like it with their country ham. mmm. Wish they had more in CA. Only one I know about is near San Diego. Readers out there let me know if any more abound. read more

We came through there headed south from Camp Atterbury to Florida. It was around 5:30AM on a Saturday morning and we were one of two in the entire place (the other one finishing up and paying). My friend ordered coffee and it took quite a while to get a cup (over 5 minutes _after_ we waited for the fresh pot to be brewed - which was all that was offered). It seems the server was too busy setting all the tables up and prepping the place for the later breakfast rush to be prompt with us. The food took much longer than it took to actually cook it (don't know why - again the place was empty). I suspect someone "local" phoned in an order and they got taken care of first on the grill. All I knew is food was cooked first and it wasn't ours or anyone else's in the place (as no one was there by that time). I've had some great WH food and this food wasn't - more greasy and overcooked than anything else. My friend ordered waffles and they came out, well overcooked - burnt brown. By that time we just slammed it all down and got back on the road. We got the "I'm sorry for the wait" more than one time - but there didn't seem to be any good reason for it. Very poor example of a Waffle House, pick another one up and down the interstate first. Won't be back. read more

Well this is one of my favorite places to eat. Yea 8 out 10 times they get everything right. But honestly it's a good place to eat. They are mostly respectful especially this time. But like I said it's a hit or miss but I love this place! it's a cheap place to eat. Just don't order the stake! Lol. Their breakfast bowl and all star meal is the best thing on the menu!
