They are the best "home cooking" restaurant in Ouachita Parish. It would cost you a fortune to have the same order at Piccadilly. Everything I have had on their menu is delicious. The family/owners always have smile on their faces. I took my brother-in-law from Oregon here when he visited and he talked about it the rest of his life. If you're a local and you haven't been here, GO! If you are visiting the area, you won't find better food in the entire parish if you're looking for home cooking, but be ready for a nap! I just promised my own brother, who has never been there, that I'm taking him ASAP! PS....their dessert are THU BOMB! AND HUGE PORTIONS, one is enough for two people. Their lunch portions are huge as well. I often got an order to go and split it with my mother.

It was eerily quiet as the staff worked on orders for the customers and the to-go folks. We fired up the jukebox and played a few classics. One of the servers took 3 words before they started belting out their choir angel voice, "Liven in a lonely world." Our breakfast was ordered and half eaten before we got through 4 songs. But we stuck around to see it through all 8 credits. Everyone was having a grand old time. Folks in our group, mostly first-timers, came away pleasantly surprised by it all. It's the hot link. It tastes like somebody fired up the grill in their backyard instead of a fast-food kitchen. The burgers hold their own against just about every chain out there, and if you add chili, you'll thank me later. Then there's dessert. Shakes, fried pies, strawberry shortcake...they've got every course covered. Griff's feels like a throwback to a time when fast food had a little more personality and tasted like somebody actually cared. Places like this are getting harder to find. It's right across from Louisiana Tech, so expect a line when school's in session. Don't let it scare you off. It's absolutely worth the wait. Face it, people like Griff's.

The steaks were both a little thin but for the price we paid it was a good deal. The biscuits were delicious. And like always the waffle was a star.
