Their menu still only has a combination of has browns served with either a hamburger or some type of chicken. THATS IT! A small tumbler of coke or iced sweet tea is $3/cup. $8 for kids plate of food. Basic grilled cheese with hash browns, chicken, or a sandwich. They add $3 for bottles juices and cups of teas. We received GOOD service. It wasn't busy for dinner on a Monday late afternoon early evening. The place was clean nothing fancy. Honestly would prefer the iHop or Cracker Barrel brands over WH. As a native Floridian i understand Waffle House -WH is always open as they say- even during the hurricanes some seasons but honestly I was taken back at the prices for this type of food. Located very close to the Interstate and in a commercial area with some other fast food. Quite busy when I arrived as you could tell from the full parking lot and a couple people standing by the door. But WH is generally self-seating, so I took a seat at the low counter and when no one objected to me cutting a queue, I got comfortable. A few minutes later, a polite young man took my order, brought me coffee and then breakfast arrived. One of the tidier fiesta omelets I've seen in a bit and with properly toasted wheat bread. They do not have condiments on the counter (COVID?) so when I asked for salsa, he poured it out of the jar (Pace picante and not the Casa de Waffles sauce) into a small paper cup. This was nice. Who doesn't like the Waffle House? This place was no exception. We have visited this location 3 times over the years and have never been disappointed. Our waitress, Freida, was awesome as she barked out the orders to the chef in Waffle House fashion. I tried the new hashbrown bowl and it was outstanding. Great meal. Our kids love Jim gaffigan. Our kids are 10 and 12 and we are over a thousand miles from home. So, we wanted to start vacation with a memory and eating at a Waffle House because of its reputation seemed cheeky to us! The staff in here was very friendly. This has a small diner feel. You can see the grill and the whole kitchen. It was clean. The food was good. And we were very satisfied! All of Jim gaffigan a jokes aside, I would be comfortable going into other waffle houses in the future. We had tasty sausage and eggs and hash browns. And of course we ate our share of waffles!!! It's a truck stop diner, so no frills, but darn good service and food! The inside takes me back in time, and I love all of the old time pictures above the grill. We stopped here before catching a flight, and had two big breakfasts for $15! I am a regular now at this Waffle House, along with my service dog "Ernie" a 90 lb VA trained Greyhound. The food is consistently good, fresh off the grill and the service always excellent, courteous and very friendly, especially to my service dog who often manages to get free bacon. Ate at the Waffle House here in Punta Gorda The first time going the restaurant found it clean and the waitress very friendly. My wife ordered the waffle and she remarked that the butter was not frozen rock hard like most. I had two eggs over easy cooked perfect and bacon with hash browns that you can get with just about anything on top of them. Toast and coffee all at a good price. I would have gave it 10 stars but the temperature was on the cool side although the food was hot. But a great place to eat. I would recommend it to anyone and will be back again. read more

Hands down BEST WAFFLE HOUSE IN THE UNITED STATES!!! This place is the tastiest, 24/7 diner you're going to find! Probably the CLEANEST Waffle House I've ever been to also! (No weird sticky spots under the edge of the tables here!) And the juke box always works! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their MENU, can tell you what platter/meal on the menu you want if you just tell them the stuff you want to eat, LOCAL ATTRACTIONS, & they're GREAT for DIRECTIONS too!! If you're looking for something "edible" this is the place for you! The Waffle House didn't smell amazing to most people. When I purchased two waffles, one came perfectly screwed up. The outside was very burnt and the inside was very much under cooked. Plus, the whipped cream they gave me might as well been butter with added sugar. It was a weird color of yellow and was super stiff. And to top it all off both waffles were rubbery, hard to bite, and tasted bad. Stoped by and NEVER AGAIN. The waitress (old lady with purple hair) was super rude. She was prioritizing other customers before us , took forever to take our order, gave us extra stuff we didn't order and made us pay for it. Dishes were DIRTY.
