Unlike the location on Philips Dr. this one is pretty good. They have friendly attentive staff and the food is good.

The mustard potato salad was the best that I've ever tasted. The Parsonage Club Sandwich was fantastic, with its flavorful aioli! They had a nice Nora Jones soundtrack playing. The prices were imminently reasonable. This is now on my to-go list of eateries. I shall return!

When visiting Jonesboro, we decided to grab lunch at this cute cafe in the entertainment district…read moredowntown. The inside decor was very eclectic with art, paper stars hanging from the ceiling, and mix-matched furniture. It felt very fun. We chose to sit in a booth by the window around 1:00. There was only one other table of patrons when we arrived. It was very cold inside, but it looked clean. I ordered a ham sandwich with chips. My mom ordered a pick two with half BLT and a half cup of chicken and wild rice soup. The wait was slow for some cold sandwiches and premade soup. My sandwich was good but it just tasted like regular deli meat on white sandwich bread. The chips came from a basket with two different types of sun chips, which were not my favorite. My mom's soup did not have any chicken or meat in it, just the broth and lots of beans. It was also very spicy, which unfortunately didn't work with her dietary restriction. She wasn't able to eat much of it. We both got drinks, as well, but never refills. Our waitress didn't come back to check on us. Together the bill was in the mid $30s + tax and a tip. It just felt overpriced for mediocre food and service. Cute place, but I probably won't go back.

This is the ultimate, down-home, small town, casual cafe…read more My friend and I had lunch here, and we enjoyed the food and attentive service. I had the daily special of an open faced roast beef sandwich, mashed potatoes with gravy, and coleslaw. My buddy had a hand-patted hamburger. For dessert, he had chocolate pie. I opted for a double cheeseburger! The youngest daughter of the owner waited on us, and she provided excellent service. If in the area, give their homemade burgers a try. The prices are more than reasonable. Bring cash, because they don't accept credit cards.

Let me start with the good. We were traveling back home to MS. Our food arrived so quickly which…read moremakes getting back on the road nice. The prices are dirt cheap. Not sure how they do it in this economy. The staff was pleasant. Now for why I gave it 3 stars. The food is mediocre. The burger patties on my husbands burger were a good thickness but absolutely a frozen patty. He wouldn't have ordered a double had he known. He took one patty off. None of our food was beyond lukewarm. I had the pork fritter, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and tossed salad with a cornbread muffin. You can't beat the portion for the price but the temperature and taste were disappointing. The gravy was anemic. Barely brown. Not white gravy but def not brown. Mashed potatoes were prob one of the best things but def needed more warmth. Pork fritter was thin and would have been better with a light flour batter instead of the thicker breadcrumb batter. Green beans were like what Mamaw would make with bacon. Salad was old school and I like that. Corn muffin was cold as a wedge but decent cornbread. Mike asked the server who dropped off our food for more mayo, never saw that or another server until it was time to leave. They were slightly busy. Will we stop again? No. Is it a good place to get a decent amount of food for a great price? Yes. It's an old building but clean inside.
