Low prices!

Amazing establishment! We came here at midnight on a Saturday and let me tell you, our experience was as good or even better than visiting somewhere else at a normal hour. It was still decently busy in there, considering the time of day, and yet our service was still incredibly quick and enjoyable. It was very clean in there, our food came out fast and well cooked, and we felt very safe while inside and outside the restaurant. We love Waffle House, and this is definitely one of the best ones we have been to yet! If you're in the area or driving on 95, I highly recommend you stop in for a nice meal, it only takes about 20-30 minutes from when you walk in until you're all done your delicious food!

As a west coaster, I needed to understand the lore behind Waffle House. My conclusion was that it was just a stickier Denny's.

Quick service, generally clean and as always -- tasty food for a cheap price. This Waffle House made for a nice stop on the road with no wait to sit down and a very affordable dining option late at night.

Let me start off by saying how much we love Waffle House! Wish it was anywhere near where I live but no, I have to travel out of state to get mine scattered, smothered and covered. We were so excited when walking in, after a very long drive. No "welcome to Waffle House". We sat and the first thing I notice are 2 ants crawling across the table. Server asks what we want, no emotion and more interested in what's happening on his phone. We obviously got waffles and hash browns. The waffles were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, yum. The bacon comes out next. Not strips but 2 shriveled up fatty pieces that left burn marks on the plate. Our hash browns arrive and while mine were good, my partners were a soggy, greasy heap that didn't have a crispy crust. Disappointed

I'm giving this particular waffle house location five stars because I'm reviewing it for what it is. It's a waffle house!!! Those who go to the waffle house know what it's about. It's about getting good waffles, or platters that contain waffles and eggs and ham and/or bacon etc. for a very reasonable price. I meet my friend here about once a month because it's halfway between our two residences and we've never had a bad experience. Coffee is hot and flowing, the service is always really good because we sit at the counter. And it's also fun to watch them cook. This particular waffle house is conveniently located about half a mile off interstate 95 just inside the Maryland border. Tax-free DELAWARE is about a mile away so it's good to grab breakfast and go shopping. Love this location.

The one and only original Americana diner.

OG Americana Diner, feeding long-haulers and travelers, serving simple, standard, low-priced breakfast and lunch for decades. The one you call out as you drive by on the highway, "Waffle House!!!!" with respect to the original no-frills sit-down diner. It was never one that we frequented on our cross-country station-wagoned ventures, but like Motel6's, Waffle House is the beacon of a kitchen that's always open, coffee's always hot, and bacon is always thick and cooked right. "TouchTunes" jukebox to play your favorites overhead while you enjoy your All-Star special of two-eggs, waffle, sausage (or bacon or ham) and grits or hashbrowns. Only place where you can get add-ons for your Hashbrowns for $0.50 each. Choose from "Smothered" for sautéed onions, "Covered" for a slice of cheese, "Chunked" for hickory smoked ham, or "Peppered" for jalapeños. Top your waffle with choice of pecans, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips or blueberry nougat. Endless coffee flows into branded mugs. Sugar and cream to taste. Convenient and brightly-lit parking is safe and simple. Where else can you have a sit-down full-breakfast and coffee for $10 ??!!!

Stopped in here on our way back home from a weekend road trip and was pleased with our experience. My boyfriend had never been and always wanted to see what the hype was about. It was pretty packed, we waited for about 15 minutes and was able to get good seating. Our server was in the weeds but never forgot about us so that speaks volumes to me. The food was pretty good, but I think we both agreed the orange juice was 10/10 lol idk what it was but it just seemed so refreshing. Thanks Waffle House!

Grilled cheese was BOMB. it was buttery but not greasy, the cheese was perfectly melted, the bread was just the right amount of toasted. It was amazing m, honestly the best grilled cheese I have ever tasted. everything else didn't do the Waffle House justice. I got an angus cheeseburger that tasted like a burger from public school lunches. The hash with cheese they literally melted a slice of American cheese on top. I'll if it was the staff or what but i was not a huge fan.

I love Waffle House and usually I have to wait to go down south to get it. Unbeknownst to me there was one in MD not too far from PA my boyfriend was willing to drive too. I was a happy camper that day.

So I've heard so much about The Waffle House being from Cali (where we don't have any) I jumped at the chance to visit. Honestly it the food was ok. It didn't exactly blow me away however the service did. I mean every employee was extremely welcoming & pleasant. That's enough to get another visit from me. Maybe next time I'll try something different on the menu that will match the extraordinary service. 3 starz

I remember someone calling it Awful House... here was just meh. Walked in a bit after 7am and it was filled with construction guys, then a little while later it emptied out and there were a bunch of takeout orders standing around. The meal was a perfect size, not too heavy. Greasy spoon was another term I heard that fit it well. It was ok, not Denny's though;

Bartender struggled as well, unable to find a fresh bottle when they poured short. No manager to be found to assist. Meals were excellent and the fish and chips, the tuna appetizer also a fav. Well, there is no seating where the music is not loud so they shouldn't even be offering it. I've never been in a restaurant where the live music is almost deafening. It was out of control. I don't know how anyone was able to sit inside and have a conversation because you had to yell at the person beside you. Once we were able to get a table (outside in the cold since the music was so loud) and a waiter finally came we ordered food. Skipping ahead...I ordered the nachos. If you like cold queso out of a jar then this is the dish for you! No exaggeration, the queso was completely cold like it had been spooned out of the jar from the shelf. Unreal. Add to this, the dock that backs up to the restaurant kept catching fire. I kid you not. There was some loose pipe or cable that caught fire at least twice while there. Stay away from this place!

Salmon was very good, it was vodka cured; bloodline and skin removed (+++)! Grain was pretty busy for mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Modern pub/ sports pub feel. Phillies game on the TVs. Music playing. Service was OK. My one pet peeve is allowing servers to leave dirty dishes and empty glasses on the table. And our server, although attentive, did not clear any dishes or glasses. Thank god I don't have epilepsy, the light over our table kept blinking non-stop. Plenty of off street parking for patrons. Lots of varied seating, both indoor and outdoor. See warning sign in my pics (haha). As far as prices, they are in line with any other places, as far as these other reviews that said it is excessively expensive, not true. Lunches are $15-20. Apps are a little pricey. Nice beer selection in the $8 ish range. Forgot I wanted to get a pan dessert, next time. I paid using InKind and got a nice discount.
