Good morning, so today after dropping my mom off at Sunday school. I decided to forgo my regular breakfast. Hashbrown from McDonald's and drive will be here to see about the waffle house.. Now, upon arrival it, the parking lot was very spare. Therefore, there was plenty of parking. So that was a good thing second once I got in, of course. Thought I might as well give the review while I'm here. I haven't been to a Waffle House since I was around 10 and all I could remember is how much i liked their waffles. We walked into this location around 2:50am, and we weren't greeted or really acknowledged. I get that you seat yourself when there isn't a host but the server didn't even say hi. So we sat down, we ordered. We ate. And the waffle was amazing like I remembered but everything else was pretty lackluster. Probably should've just stuck with the all star breakfast but I was pretty hungry and got the steak and eggs combo. The steak wasn't even an inch thick like damn. I mean I know it's just breakfast but I think they could afford a better piece of meat. When it comes to the inside, the tables were pretty dirty. I picked which was the best of them. Overall they could use a bit of a clean up. Overall I will say that all the hospitality came from the cook. He asked us how everything was and came by a second time to check on us. The server never came back after our food was dropped just to make sure everything was right. We was trying to go have dinner at the one on Cockrell Hill and we went in and there was the workers in there standing around playing on their phones. Then one looks up at us and rudely says we are only taking phone orders. Then locks the doors when we leave out. I was like what the heck. They literally was doing nothing. 2016 Yelp 100 Challenge Review #44 I have gotten food to go here before but this was my first time dining in. They were super nice from the greeter at the door to the waitress to the cooks. They were extremely busy by made every effort to make sure we got what we needed. There were a few snafus but recovery was always there. They made it right! I ordered a Fiesta omelet, no meat add mushrooms, soft. I hate hard eggs. It was cooked to order. It was just like I like it! Everything was great. I agree with all the reviews. Management has done an incredible job ensuring everyone maintains a friendly, professional attitude while providing quality food and services. Highly recommended. Of course, I suggested Waffle House. It's my husband's first time at Waffle House. And I knew he would not be disappointed and he wasn't. Our server Lamia is so sweet and sassy! We loved it!
