So we went for be breakfast. They were not busy at all. Asked for two egg breakfast which was 5.50, side order of a waffle which is 4.00 coffee, hubby order sausage and biscuits which was 3.00. I never got my waffle but was charged for it. Both coffees was 2.25. bill came to about 14 something. So I go to pay and I tell our waitress I did not get my waffle. Oh I'm sorry do you want one to go? I say no I want off my bill. She refigure!!!!and says it is 14.25. I am so frustrated at this point I just pay and leave. I will be er go there again and anyone I know who is traveling to Columbus Ga I will advise them go to breakfast anywhere but Waffle House in Ga. The Food here is made right in front of you and its very delicious. I was staying in Columbus Georgia for a family reunion and there aren't many places I haven't already visited that exist in this side of the states. However, when we pulled up to our hotel Best Western, I spotted The Waffle House and had to try it just once since that's a place we don't have here in NYC. The food is made right in front of you, this isn't a regular breakfast diner or joint where you wonder where's your plate. This is literally made with your viewing and made to perfection. I ordered lunch which was a grilled chicken on Texas toast with bacon and cheese! DELICIOUS! Buttery, garlic Texas toast with so much salt is what I love lol. I also had the biscuits which were so big and cut down the middle to look like 2 separate pieces when intact it's just 1 buttery delicious biscuit. My children had the waffles and bacon cheeseburger. I disliked the waffle as it was soggy and wasn't what I was expecting. Overall i had a few great meals here in the days to follow that was left of my trip. I will be coming back again. read more

Everyone has to visit a Waffle House at least once. It's typical comfort, diner food. The waffles are good. Not crispy as I would like them to be, but still good. I was hoping for them to have "Waffle House" imprinted on them... But I guess that's only in some Atlanta locations. It's a decent location. Cleanliness of utensils are questionable, but I think that it is typical for these types of places. If I had to choose, I'd try one of the Atlanta locations. 4 stars for the food. 3 stars for this particular location. It's a diner..So just go in with no expectations and hope for clean utensils! read more

Tim the cook, was absolutely awful. We came in looking for Taylor because we only want her as our server. As we were ordering the food, we heard our server specifically call out our order right but Tim completely ruined it. Ryan ordered cheese grits and toast and got a half a bowl of grits with probably an inch of melted butter on the top. It was a nasty sloppy mess. My eggs were not fished being cooked and the entire meal was trash. As we asked the server if they could fix our food, to add cheese in the grits, he gave us a rude look, slapped a piece of cheese on top and then walked away. As we started eating our food, a customer at the bar asked, just to make sure, that there were no onions on the BLT. Which I can understand because I'm allergic to onions so I ALWAYS ask as well. Tim started yelling "ITS A BLT. STANDS FOR BACON LETTUCE TOMATO. NOT ONION." In front of the customers and the server. That was so embarrassing. The face of the server broke my heart. Tim is so rude. This wasn't the first time we dealt with him and his crummy attitude. This is NOT the job for him. My entire work group came in and got unsatisfactory results from him too. We will not be coming back. As much as we adore Taylor as our server, we will not be coming back here as long as Tim is employed. read more

I'm giving this WH five stars because it's the best I've I've been to in years. My son and I came here on Veteran's Day since they give a military discount and the line wasn't as long as some other places. Decent food at a great price. We left feeling full! It's a chain that has a lot of character. Large portions on the super cheap. When I ate here I was exhausted and starving........and ordered cheese grits and chili. Separately, but I mean really, how random/gross of me. I wish I'd tried some biscuits & gravy. Next time. See how I still want something that can be shlopped in a bowl? Thanks for a beautiful Thanksgiving morning away from home Waffle House. The service here is outstanding so much southern hospitality I hated to leave Columbus. The pecan and pumpkin waffles were very good all the other food was yummy standard diner fare but the star of this greasy spoon show is hands down the biscuits for a placed called the WAFFLE house the biscuits take the show best freaking biscuit I've ever had in my 30 years of life I swear lol.... The iced tea and coffee were just mediocre but this would be my go to for breakfast if I lived in the south. read more

My family and I visited Waffle House after my son's military ceremony (we're from MI). The diner atmosphere is awesome as we don't have these types of establishments in West Michigan. The food--absolutely DELICIOUS! My only complaint (and the reason I can't give it 5 stars), is because the restroom was DISGUSTING! I would've rather voided in the woods but there weren't any around. I didn't even wash my hands because I knew it wouldn't make a difference because of the door handle. I keep hand sanitizer in my purse, so I literally doused myself with it as I sat in the booth. As much as I despise anything negative, hopefully management will take note of the conditions in the restroom. I dare NOT go into detail...you'd loose your waffle In closing, I really like the fact that you can see your food being prepared while you wait. read more

I just LOVE Waffle House and am so sad they're not in California. Their waffles are great! I also like the fact that you can sit at the counter and watch while your food is being prepared. Everything is done on a flat top grill...if you get the hashbrowns, be prepared...they're greasy, but that's part of the charm of this place. Staff is friendly, and I love their heavy coffee mugs...too bad you can't buy them, but I did see them on eBay. read more

It's.A. Diner.!!!! It's feels shabbish like a diner but that's really what makes it cool. It's dirt cheap for breakfast they basically make it in front of you so you're not eating packaged eggs like in mcdonalds or anything. It could be cleaner .So it's gets 5 stars not because it's a 4 star restaurant but because it's freakin awesome that you can get an all star breakfast for $6 dollars! So wow. I walked is and wasn't even greeted. No biggie. Then I sat there for 20 minutes. No one and I repeat NO ONE came over asked me if I wanted coffee took my order nothing. Another couple came is and sat for 10 minutes and then left. Another couple sat down and waited nothing. One waitress just stood there filling syrup bottles. The other was standing at the register looking at her phone. The old man (cook I guess) was just standing there and filling the ice machine. As I walked out 3 people came in sat down and were offered coffee right away. How in the hell does this place stay in business with a waffle house at every highway exit? Amazing. Don't go to Waffle House expecting too much. Honestly, the shabby diner feel is part of the charm. The food is okay, the service is usually friendly but never excellent and the place never quite feels clean. That's just Waffle House.
