I love breakfast! The Waffle House in Casselberry serves up some great diner food at a reasonable price. And it's open 24 hours! If you come here, you have to try the waffles. The waffles are here are crispy and delicious. My husband always gets the hashbrowns and adds a bunch of toppings. The place is small inside but there is plenty of parking outside. Service here is good and they work really hard to serve you fast. Waffle House is a good place to go when you are craving diner food at any hour of the day!

I went this morning as it's been a while since I went. And actually had a good breakfast upon entry it was very busy, per the usual for a Saturday morning. They use to have a wait list where you would put your name on it versus everyone waiting by the door. This was not the case and as soon as someone got up you had to sit down or stand next to the table in order to grab a seat. I order the Arnold Palmer the machine for the lemonade was down I'm guessing because they have me an entire bottle of lemonade for me to mix for myself. The food which was the blueberry waffle was delicious, they server informed me that Monday they will have the pumpkin pancake which I'm super siked about so I'm sure I'll be back.

A diner atmosphere (yet a chain) with decades of tradition, fans of all ages, and a standout menu item that hadn't changed since it opened its first store (can everyone say "Waffles"?!) in Georgia, this location excelled on service and employee engagement when I visited on a Saturday morning. My first time ever visit was with a friend who grew up in Georgia and loved Waffle House and wanted me to experience this southeast USA staple. Since we couldn't drive to Georgia, we ordered the All-Star Special here. I really appreciated the options for the meal and how easy it was to customize my order. Besides the classic waffle, I chose eggs over easy, bacon (medium, not crispy), grits, biscuits and a side of the sausage gravy. We sat at a booth and received attentive service. Our water plastic glasses were regularly filled and our server was very pleasant. I did observe how everyone on the morning shift appeared to busy with serving, cleaning, and other tasks. The music was upbeat and I'm sure that helped everyone's mood. In our short time at the store, many people from old to young arrived or left. When the food arrived, it took several dishes to deliver it all. Everything was cooked to order and I started with eating half of the waffle, applying the vegetable spread and fake syrup. Knowing my eyes were bigger than my stomach, I made sure to finish the bacon, biscuits and gravy, and eggs with the remaining food taken in a to-go container. All was tasty enough and I can imagine the allure of a later night visit after a long day or party. I'm not sure if I'll ever set foot in a WH again, but this was a real good first time visit.

Place is awesome, service was really good and attentive. The only and only complaint is my toast was cold. Loved the City Ham, Grits, Eggs and waffle. This was my breakfast dinner wasn't able to eat last night bc of all the issues I encountered at the airport.

Waffle House is and always will be my favorite breakfast place. The service and food have been the same for years and years. Feels like a small town diner every time I go. I always get the All-Star which is eggs, toast, grits, a waffle, and bacon or sausage. I don't eat pork so I always swap my meat out for hash brown. Yummy!

First time here, so today after work decided to try it. The dinner is quite small but very welcoming. I was greeted by Vanessa which, I believe was part of management. I ordered waffles with chocolate chips & veggie omelet that came with toast and hash brown. It was perfectly cooked by Tamika. Both ladies were very nice. I will definitely be coming back and yes the food was really good. It hit all the right parts lol.

I love the Waffle House. I haven't been in years and thought it would be fun for the kiddo to watch them turn the waffles on the iron. We came on a Sunday morning and they were slammed. They had a line out the door and it's first come first serve so a little chaotic. Although, I don't expect a hostess at the Waffle House. We had about four families in front of us and only waited 10 minutes or so. Once we sat down, the server greeted us almost immediately and took our order. His name was Hunter and he was awesome and quick! Our breakfast took maybe ten minutes to be made and was hot and delicious. Their waffles are so good! Because they're so fast paced and specialize in waffles, the tables and condiments are a bit sticky from syrup but that won't keep us from coming back again. Overall, it's a fun quick spot for a hot breakfast.

Johnny's is a classic, somewhat nostalgic for me, diner experience, the servers were attentive and the coffee was nice and strong but smooth. This reminds me a lot of the Greek diners I went to all the time while growing up in Western New York. Our food came out fast, and everything was good. I got the biscuits and gravy and hash browns. the biscuits and gravy was comforting and the hash browns were actually my favorite thing, they were nice and crispy. My husband got the Greek omelette and hash browns and was happy with his meal as well. As mentioned before the staff was attentive and very nice. Coffee and drinks were being refilled before you noticed you needed it. I think they handle the weekend crowd very well. By the time we were leaving there were people waiting for tables, but it was a very large party so that's to be expected. Just be prepared for that if you come at peak hours. The restaurant itself was homey and gave that classic diner feel. Everything was lived-in, in a cozy way, but clean. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were just right. I would recommend Johnny's diner and will come again.

Picked a booth among a half dozen open booths, and a very pleasant gal took our order And then we sat. And sat. And sat. And sat. Odd that a half-empty after-lunch-rush place took so long to be served a simple breakfast plate of eggs and bacon and a BLT and sausage gravy & biscuit. Everything was good, especially the sausage gravy & biscuit. One of the best we've found in quite awhile. Would we go back? Yes, and leave plenty of extra time for the slow delivery of your order. It was freshly prepared. And tasty. But it took a lot longer than we're used to. Good eats, but be ready to wait a long time to get your food.

I spotted Cafe Perks in a run down strip mall, but despite the exterior, it seemed quite inviting. The crowded dining room reinforced my interest all the more, so I ventured in. What Cafe Perks lacks in elegance, it makes up for with charm and no-frills comfort. It reminds me of places I would visit 50+ years ago with my Dad after we went golfing in Northeastern Massachusetts or Southern New Hampshire. You went because you were hungry, wanted a good meal and staple foods. Cafe Perks delivers on those needs! My Dad might have called Cafe Perks a "greasy spoon" but one of the revelations about Cafe Perks is that my breakfast of scrambled eggs, hash browns and rye toast was not greasy at all. Yes, there were fats, but nothing too extreme (although the butter on my toast might have been a bit more than I would have used had I been buttering the otherwise tasty rye). Cafe Perks was clean and the price was great, at less than $10 for my breakfast (before tip).

Fun fact, diners were started in New England region of America in the 1850s. All this to say, I love a good diner. I mean the American diner has always been there for middle America. The closest one to me and honestly it's definitely hidden away is the Maitland Breakfast Club. It's pretty much situated on the boundary line of where the City of Altamonte Springs starts. They have large space that's casual and what you would expect for a diner. Anyone can walk in wearing their Sunday best to pajamas. The waitresses are very welcoming and exactly the kind of person I would expect to invite me into a diner. We had gone on a Saturday afternoon and they're not a diner that's open late, so more of a breakfast diner really. Now I got the eggs Benedict with bacon and hash browns. For me, there are three breakfast staples I believe all amazing must revisit breakfast places should have. A good cup of warm regular coffee, eggs Benedict, and good crispy hash browns. I mean some places have other things like lattes and hash brown bowls, and I'm not saying those aren't good. However, when you nail the basics, you can do anything else. The hollandaise sauce was great and didn't split and bacon was crispy. The hash browns were super crispy, which I loved, and I could tell it had been made on a flat top grill, which is another very classic American restaurant kitchen appliance. The cup of coffee was good, I mean they had the sugar packets and the creamers right there. Overall, I would rate it a 9/10 and it set us back about $15 for just my portion. So when I walk into a restaurant, I'm not just looking at the menu, I'm looking at operations, teamwork, customer flow, and how the place is actually being run. With that being said I want to thank the manager: John Schmitt, my server Dakota as well as the rest of the kitchen & serving staff. Today, Metro Diner surprised me in a major way. They were busy, and it did take a minute for my food to come out, but the team stayed on it and got it to me. That matters, because busy isn't the issue, how you handle busy is the issue. For my first order, I got shrimp and grits. I don't eat pork, so I asked them to leave the sausage out, and to make sure it wasn't cooked in with it. They respected that, no problems, no weirdness, just handled. Now the food, listen. The shrimp and grits were flat-out excellent. The shrimp were juicy, the peppers were cut right, everything was seasoned properly, and you could actually taste every ingredient. It was like a musical in your mouth, every note showed up. I went back to class and showed my classmates what I got, because it looked and tasted that good. After school I was headed for my 1 hour drive home, but I decided to doubled back to try something sweet, the Belgian waffle with cinnamon and pecans. It came out looking like a prop for a cinematic movie prop, and it was just as good as the first meal from earlier today. The kind of good where you start thinking about ordering another one immediately, but you stop yourself because you already know you'll be back tomorrow. So here's my verdict. Metro Diner just became one of my new go-too lunch spots when I am in Winter Park for class. If you're anywhere near this area and you've never been, you need to pull up and try it for yourself, don't trust my taste buds, try your own!!!
