I have no complaints about a Waffle House. We are traveling through to camp in West Branson, and I can say great things about WH! This was a fulfilling eat. My family and I enjoyed our visit. Conveniently located right off the freeway, if you are heading east that is. If you are heading west not so much, but there is a light so it is doable. The food was good as usual. Not fine dining to be sure, but definitely the Waffle House standard fare and quality. We ate here twice during my stay in Roger's while riding motorcycles in the area. They were busy on Sunday but still moved customers in and out in a timely manner so there wasn't really a wait. There's nothing like the Waffle House in the UK. Finding a decent breakfast that isn't a standing-up bacon roll is a real challenge. We Americans don't know how good we have it, in terms of breakfast choices. WH is a great option for a cheap carbohydrate load! I've definitely had better experiences at Waffle House than I did yesterday morning. I came in around 6:30 AM to place an order to go. I came in at the same time as three guys who sat at the counter. I waited for someone to come take my order at the register. It took legit 7 minutes for someone to come help me. It looked like there was only a cook and waitress there. In the time it took me to get my order taken, 2 sets of customers came in and sat and left. The waitress and the cook were play fights and cussing at each other and it was just really not a good scene. the waitress didn't even put my order in until 6:55. It took entirely too long for me to get my order. I will not be back to this Waffle House now that there is another Waffle House open closer to my home. The waitress's name was Jess but she was wearing two name tags one that said "Captain" and another that said "Hero". Went here the other day for breakfast with my family during breakfast. Wait: We came during breakfast time around 10am. We did not have to wait very long. Atmosphere: Old diner. This place has been around for a while and you can tell. Doesn't mean it's a bad place - it's just a old diner. The waiters take your order and serve you from behind the counter - most of the tables are right next to the kitchen/counter. There is also a lady who yells out orders constantly. Can be either funny or annoying depending on your mood haha - I found it funny. Food: The food was just normal, nothing too great. I had the peanut butter waffle - which is one large waffle with peanut butter chips melted on top. The food here was subpar, we ordered the steak and eggs. We asked for medium rare steak and both were overcooked. My waffle came late but I was told it would be finished shortly so I didn't mind at first. 5 minutes past and I hear them arguing about the waffle being burnt and nobody put tried to make another one. Then she spent a good 3-4 mins talking to the guy sitting at the counter about his food, a job her "old man" got and how needed to apply because he could also get a job there. Then went to cooking his meal at which he added tomatoes and onions to. Never getting tended to from our server we kept setting and waiting. Then another Waffle House employee walked in and set at the bar. Everyone working stopped what they was doing to speak to him. We kept waiting. After sitting with no service, no coffee and no server wanting to serve us we waited another 10 mins. You go to Waffle House for the experience, and this Waffle House has that down pat. The food is almost always fast, the service is friendly and fun, and there is an atmosphere of community there. And the bathrooms are usually clean, so that's always a plus. However, if you are interested in food quality and health, Waffle House buys its chicken breasts from Springer Mountain Farms, which is "American Humane Certified." This is a pretty big deal to me as I care about the welfare of animals raised for our food and there are few restaurant chains doing anything about it. Had a very troubling experience this morning. The hostess has the job of creating a list and seating guest! Why does she even write the name down of guest if she is not going to follow the list. My girlfriend and I entered this morning and was greeted by the hostess, she proceeded to write our name down on the list. Several couples came in behind us. She also took their names down for seating. She then preceded to seat couples who came in after us. Obviously she was not using the list she had created. We asked her why others, who came behind us, were seated before us!!! She had no answers for us. She apologized and offered us a discount card! We do not your discount card or free meal! Waffle House is my go to sit down diner for breakfast! They have delicious coffee and food and it never gets old! They did a remodel recently and thankfully added more parking spots! It's a bit of a madhouse during peek times and gets loud and with it being an open kitchen you catch every disagreement between workers. I haven't been there late at night but they are open 24 hours. Some people may see a 3 star review and think it's not good. But it definitely is. Good service and your food comes out pretty quickly. Pricing is great for the amount of food that you get. I ordered steak n eggs with waffles and my bill was $15. Nothing gourmet or anything different than you would be use to but they just get it right. The waffles were delicious as it should be since it's a waffle house. This is the first one I've ever been to so I can't compare to anything else.
