I finally tried this Dave's Hot Chicken location…read more It's spacious with ample seating inside. First time I visited, which was about a month ago, I ordered a 2 medium tender combo with cheese fries through the drive thru and everything was absolutely perfect. The drive thru line also didn't take too long. Long enough to know your food was gonna be fresh but fast enough to keep you from getting impatient. A nice lady pleasantly assisted me. My second visit , last week on a Fri or Saturday evening, I started in the drive thru line and there were several cars ahead of me plus the line was moving at a glacial pace so I backed up and went inside. The wait inside took forever. The lady ahead of me must've had a zillion modifications. A kind teenage boy who had trouble finding a few things on the register assisted me. I dined in, had a beer while I awaited my food. I had nearly finished the beer when they called my name and when I got my food it was just above room temperature. I could tell the food would've tasted just as good as it did during my last visit had it been served to me at thee correct temperature but it had obviously been sitting out for a bit. I also noticed a couple people who came after me got their food ahead of me. It'll be a while before I return to Dave's. I need to get back on track with my usual healthy eating habits and my sub par second visit to Dave's fortunately killed my Dave's hot chicken craving.

With the server nowhere in sight to address the issue, she simply ate what was given. The only time the server returned was to offer drink refills -- unfortunately after we had already finished eating and our empty glasses had been sitting untouched for quite some time. A good kitchen overshadowed by service that needs improvement.

One of the workers was sleeping in the booth. The staff didn't welcome me or ask any questions. I ordered and dined in. The sandwich was delicious. The Lenny's jalapeño chips were crispy and tasty. My only disappointment is the staff not being very welcoming or friendly. The establishment seemed clean and it was quiet.

I'm sorry if I inconvenienced you do you normally speak to everyone like this or are you just having a bad day and after that their attitude improved tremendously. I've never had a bad meal here because they asked what I want line item by line item so if I get a bad mill, it's my fault because I'm the one that tells them how to make my sandwich so for those people that I've had bad experiences if you let people treat you bad then they're going to stand up for yourself and demand respect. Call them out in a professional and respectful way and watch how their attitude changes.

Searching for something different from Domino's and Pizza Hut? Come on over to Village where you get fresh, piping hot large pies my brother said need at least four people to finish. Aside from generous size, the pizza isn't stingy on cheese and toppings. Both are included at a recently nice ratio. And the wings ... *moans like Homer Simpson*. I could wolf down the equivalent of my weight because they skin is nicely cooked to a crisp and the meat is juicy. There are other VP&S branches elsewhere in Galveston County. I know Dickinson has one as does Texas City. I believe the one in Santa Fe is still open.
