Fresh. Waffles. Review. Done. Okay, I can't just leave it at that (though I don't think six paragraphs is coming so don't worry). There needs to be a little more explanation of the greatness that is Waffle Cabin. For starters, they've totally put themselves out there in the food world by being at multiple alcohol-based festivals (Hops and Props, Wine Expo), and led to my initial knowledge of this spot. Further knowledge came with the warmer weather. Though once I knew Long Beach housed the actual location, it was bookmarked quicker than you can say waffle iron. Being down on the south shore a few weeks ago led to my Yelp senses tingling and a remembrance of waffle heaven nearby. Once on Beech St., don't look for something elaborate. Literally, it's a tiny hole in the wall that you'll just walk up to and order at. A couple of benches makes up the seating, but that adds to the charm of WC. It really does. It's simple. One Belgian sugar waffle please and thank you. Oh and a chocolate drizzle doesn't hurt. There are plenty of other toppings (even an ice cream endeavor) so don't fret if you're feeling frisky. Waffle Cabin will hook you up. But that basic combo of waffle and chocolate is so hot and fresh and sweet and tasty and really I need to go get one now. Hey, they do run pretty late hours, just sayin'. And even better, if you want to feed a bunch of nearby friends, get a box of waffles. Price-wise these little goodies won't break the bank, plus they make for a unique snack/dessert. On a second, more recent trip, my girlfriend chose this over Marvel ice cream (well, we still ended up there). Either way, just know the waffle holds power. Overall, okay the review was still six paragraphs, but it's hard to just say "Waffle Cabin is tasty." It needs to be proclaimed and shouted from the rooftops of Long Beach because it can't be stated enough how these lovely little morsels will make you a fan after one bite. So count me in for another trip down to Waffle Cabin. Come join me! read more

When I was here for a beach event, I decided to come through to the strip and see what was around. I hadn't been here for a while, so it's changed a little. Especially, after Sandy. I was pleased to see Waffle Cabin! The other location I've been to was in Vermont! I remembered how good they were over there...in the cold -- during a ski trip! Anyway, I couldn't just walk past the place without buying anything from them! I don't regret it! It just brought back all the good things when I ate one of these! I ordered the Real Belgian Sugar Waffle and had THE EXCELLENT Black Rifle Coffee. The woman who was handling the place alone was super friendly and helpful. She had knowledge of everything we asked her about the locations and the coffees when we couldn't decide what to get. Yes, we had questions from the donation jar, the other Waffle Cabin locations, and the brand of coffee they sell. We were her first customers of the day, so we had a little chit chat with her. My experience in this location is just as wonderful as the location in Vermont. What's best about this is that the waffles here are consistent to the waffles in Vermont. That's how you KNOW the chain is good! The waffles are fresh so biting into them is the best feeling in the world! Just an FYI, this is a walk-up window, so there's no place to sit and eat. Good if you're taking a stroll on the West End. I recommend coming here. read more

I came here 7 months pregnant as Im a snowboarder who had to sit out this season. Went on a Saturday winter evening at 8:00pm. The waffles were way better and fresh than the way they serve them in Vermont. The worker even packaged them so cute. Will def be back every week!!! read more

My friends and I were served by Sterlyn who is very sweet and generous and the nicest Waffle Cabin employee I've ever met (I've been to about 12 different waffle cabins with many different employees). Best. Waffle. Ever. I just got the plain one like I ALWAYS do at every waffle place I've ever been at. Waffle Cabin has by far the best plain waffle. It's got this sugar glaze from the heat on one side and perfectly chewy and crispy in all the right parts. They are a little smaller than waffles at other places I've been to, and about the same price. I hate driving (and parking) in LB, but Waffle Cabin is well worth it! read more

Best authentic Belgian waffle in the US! Hands down! I recently went to Belgium and had Belgian waffles everyday from various places - sometimes 2 Waffles a day from separate places - hands down this place is the closest experience to my Belgium trip. A little pricier though. It was cheaper for the Belgian waffles in Belgium than what I am charged here. read more

I had heard nothing but great things about this place and I was so excited to try it. I am happy to have finally tried it for myself and it lived up to the hype for sure! I asked the staff working which waffle I should try if I'd never tried them before and she was so nice and told me all about how the waffles are made. She encouraged me to try the original and it was amazing! I've never had a better waffle. She explained that it is covered in melted beet sugar (which I hate beets, but I guess I like beet sugar lol) which makes this kind of sparkle glaze crusted on the waffles. They were so warm and delicious. Will definitely be back for more. And they are open late so I know I will be drunk stumbling to their establishment at some point this summer lol read more

First things first, these waffles are absolutely delicious in every way. Like flavor explosion, to which you will become addicted instantly. Problem is.... the waffle and topping price. Recently the price of a plain waffle went from $4.50 to $5. Honestly, although it is a little pricey, I would still frequent this place. Problem is, it is $0.50 for powdered sugar and I think one other possible topping and then $1.00 per each additional topping. The topping price is literally insane. Now don't get me wrong this is a treat and not something you eat on a daily basis and I know this company originated on the ski slopes where that price (just like being at a baseball game or amusement park) would be totally normal. I just feel for a local business, it is nuts. If you bring a family of 4 to this establishment and everyone gets 2 toppings your looking at a minimum price of $28 bucks on waffles. Went here today for the first time, and I'll be back if I'm having a late night in the west end- for sure. The employee that helped me pick the toppings, Kelsey, was awesome, and I ended up going with chocolate drizzle and Oreos. I totally get the late night, after bar appeal, and good for them for taking advantage of the area. Unfortunately, being sober most of the time, I can't justify $6 for half of a waffle when there's a plethora of awesome diners in the area. Waffle and service was fantastic- hard to justify the price for what it is though. read more

I immediately needed to try this when I saw it. Ski slope Belgian waffles! I ordered mine with chocolate drizzle and a coffee. The waffle was a sticky delicious flavorful fattening treat that I devoured. The girl behind the counter was also very friendly. I know there are more topping options like candy but I really think all you need is the drizzle if anything! They are sweet enough on their own. Cannot say I agree with the others... I found the molasses sugar coated "waffles" to be room temperature and chewy. The berry drizzle was flavorful, but somewhat sparse. Service had all the charm of a roach coach truck. read more

Waffles here are DELICIOUS! I have been coming here for the last year and I always get the Belgian​ waffle with peanut butter, chocolate, and marshmallow​ drizzle with powdered sugar. It is the ULTIMATE dessert. My boyfriend gets the vanilla ice cream cube with peanut​ butter and chocolate drizzle. I am not a fan of the ice cream but he loves it! The only​ downfall is that there is no inside seating so it is only worth going when it is nice out. PS they have a punch card system! Don't forget to ask for it cause they usually don't offer it to you. read more

Waffles were delicious however, customer service was not very delicious. After we ordered our waffles we were waiting and we saw a sign on their door about relief for Puerto Rico. The tape was wearing off so we flapped it back up to read it and the kid working there opened the door and said "dude fuck off, the door isn't meant to be opened."
