We also tried the Philly cheesesteak, and while it wasn't the absolute best we've ever had, it was still pretty good. The meat was tender, the roll was fresh, and the cheese was gooey in a good way. Maybe just a bit more seasoning or some grilled peppers and onions would have pushed it over the top--but still solid, especially for a fast-casual place like this. The staff was friendly and fast, even though they were a bit busy. The location is clean, there's plenty of seating, and parking was easy, which isn't always the case around here. Plus, there's just something nostalgic about walking into Nathan's--it brings you back, and the food really holds up. We were shoulder to shoulder to each other. I had to straddle a table leg because of the way the table was set up. I could not get my chair under the table. There was barely any room for our plates and glasses. Even though it was a Mother's Day event, there was not a kids' menu- which makes no sense bc you know kids will be at this event! Two of our dishes had to be sent back because they were cold. It's nice that they hire the local kids and the service was good. Overall, just a bad experience. The lovely woman in the truck told me that the rice was still cooking so I would have to wait for my burrito, however, I told her I didn't want rice so she filled up the remaining space in the burrito with more meat and beans. This thing had to weigh at least a pound and a half. It was absolutely delicious. The meat was soft and tender and the beans were cooked perfectly, and there was just the right amount of cheese as not to overpower any of the other ingredients but yield a soft creamy texture.
