The drinks were delicious, I had the mango lemon drop and would get that over and over again. As a table we shared the oxtail ravioli and the oxtail fried rice, we enjoyed both. The woman hosting was kind, moved around tables to accommodate us all. They advertise a happy hour from 5-7PM (weekends included) but oddly, there's no printed HH menu. The waitress described to us verbally what was there and that includes select cocktails, wings, fries, bao buns and spring rolls. There are a few discrepancies between the menu in-person and the menu on the website, so ask if there's a menu item you saw online and don't see there. I got the fish sandwich which came with a side of old bay fries. The fish was crispy and a very nice balance between the batter and actual fish. The slaw that came with it was a nice complement as well as the aioli which brought it all together. The fries tasted like frozen as opposed to handcut, could have been a bit more elevated if they made theirs in house. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food, the plantains were perfectly brown and the wings/bao buns had good reviews from my friends. Cozy spot that was welcoming and I'd come to again if I was in the area, but I wouldn't necessarily make a trek to come here.

I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas, a side of vegetables, and added oxtail gravy to the rice. One thing I do like is that they give you options. You can add sauce to your meat if that's your thing, and you can choose which gravy you want on your rice. The oxtail gravy was a solid choice. As for the jerk chicken, it was good, but I found it a little light on flavor for my taste. Nothing bad about it, just not the most memorable jerk I've had. I also ordered a beef patty and, honestly, save yourself the trouble and go down the street for that one. Overall, the food is good and I have no real complaints. I've definitely had better, but I've also had worse. It's a convenient spot when you're in the neighborhood and looking for a quick Caribbean meal. If you're wondering if I'll be back, I might be.

And to make matters worse, when I tried to contact the restaurant, from the phone number listed on Yelp and Apple Maps the number doesn't even work!! This place needs to be inspected ASAP. If a screw can make it into a meal, who knows what else is going on in that kitchen? I won't be back, and I suggest you think twice before eating here unless you want your next bite to come with a side of hardware.

The customer service was very poor, to say the least. There were two women across the counter, who were not interested In getting my order. Once one of them finally acknowledged me, I waited about 10 minutes for my order. I got home and couldn't wait to eat. As soon as I took the first bite I was highly disappointed. The fish was very salty, and dry. The gravy was also very salty. I could not finish the fish, that's how bad it was. The reason I gave this restaurant 3 stars, is for the rice and cabbage. I did enjoy that. I ordered from this restaurant over 5 years ago ,and the food was perfect. I don't know what changed since then, but I hope they find back their spark.

Flavor wise, I am a little particular as my all-time favorite Jamaican food spot was back in Boston but this was definitely a strong contender. The BBQ ribs were on the sweeter end and were not my personal favorite. The cornbread was a bit dry but coupled with the meal it worked out once incorporated. Overall, the next time I'm back I would love to try the rest of the dishes as they have a lot of great options at a super fair price point!!! Definitely check it out!
