I usually like WaBa Grill, but this location was... something else. I stopped by because I was nearby instead of going to the Warner location (mistake #1). I was literally the only person in line, and it still took about 10 minutes to get my food. While waiting, I glanced into the kitchen and saw the cook carefully weighing the chicken and steak like it was a science experiment. I didn't realize I walked into a lab--apparently every ounce matters here... just not in the customer's favor. For almost $20, I expected a decent portion, but it felt like I paid for a large bowl of rice with a light protein garnish. But the best part? I was charged $3.29 for a 20 oz Pure Leaf Iced Tea... and got an 18.5 oz bottle instead. So they're strict about weighing your food, but not so much about what you're actually paying for. Although they had already made my order, the young woman on the phone, after talking to her manager, got back to me and they agreed to refund my money despite they're having already made it. A great Doordash option for a late dinner. I ordered the Steak and Chicken over rice bowl and a side of 5 Dumplings. The steak and chicken were very tender and tasty. I wish they would've added the green onions on top, like the picture, but it was still very good. They were a little light on the WaBa sauce also, so make sure to get a bunch of extra WaBa Sauce packets. You get plenty of rice in the bowl so that's nice. The dumplings were pretty good. They come with a sweet chili dipping sauce, but I wasn't a big fan of that. This is where the extra WaBa sauce comes in handy. The manager of this store forces employees to prop all of the doors wide open which causes the place to be infested with fly's and hot since the air conditioning is basically doing nothing but waste electricity. This is against the health code for indoor restaurants. If you try to sit down and eat your meal you will be swatting flies away from your food half the time while sweating from the heat. If the flies are attacking me sitting down with 1 plate of food you can bet they are attacking all the food being prepared. Review for the chicken bowl with white meat only. Price was $12.01 with out add-ons. The bowl seems smaller with the portions. Seems like the know they are one of the few places around here that is healthy for food. So they do capitalize on that. The workers don't make rounds and clean areas that are used like door to the bathroom etc. keeping the door closed would help maintain the place nicer. Although everyone knows the code to use the bathroom so people walking on the street pit stop here to use the bathroom. So there are some questionable characters here walking around. read more

I came here to try out both their chicken and beef bowls. Order came to around $20 (about $9 each bowl) which is a tad bit pricier than Yoshinoya down the street. But, when opening the bowls I did discover that the bowls are way more bigger as well as provide more meat of your choosing. The steak bowl tasted alright. It's a bit too saucy for my taste but it was good. The chicken bowl was delicious. Absolutely way better than Yoshinoyas teriyaki chicken. The lady that helped me up front was nice and the food took less than 5 minutes to come out which is great. I guess one thing I forgot to mention was to add green onions to the orders. I guess you had to do itself but I wasn't informed. Also don't forget to grab a fork! It is also a bit more on the pricier side! Other than that I feel like WaBa grill is as good if not better than flame broiler. Definitely better tasting than Yoshinoya! Would definitely come back here if I need a meat bowl fix! read more

The facility state that it operate at 7am, I arrived early so I waited 10min till the store open that was fine. 7:10am comes around the staff still haven't open the door for business to operate, I decided to call the store and the staff reply their open the door in 5min. these reviews are commical!! this isnt the ritz carlton you dont come to fast good for the service. young hispanic worker ive never received good service at any fast food place. they raised the prices which ok theres inflation everywhere. $18 for a drink and steak bowl. it was fast fresh and delicious!! also they open at 8am! i love the avocado and green onions!! they also seem to give less meat which isnt a huge deal. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food here. I personally find it tastier and more filling (bigger chunks of meat) than at flame broiler. I also appreciate that you can get dumplings here too. This is a fairly healthy spot to eat at if you get your sauce on the side. read more
