I preferred this waba grill over ALL others until last night! I ordered the $6 mini bowl. I asked Louis if he could add a tiny bit more teriyaki sauce. When I got home, my white rice was completely saturated with the sauce. The brown soggy rice was gross. So I called & I complained about it . Whomever I spoke to said come in and it will be replaced. I said fine. I'll do that. I drove 8 more miles to get it. Everything was going good, then Louis came back to the counter to give it to me with an attitude. So that's the reason I'm writing this.. They have messed up my to go order twice out of the last three trips. My usual order is a chicken veggie bowl & a shrimp veggie bowl. They have screwed up twice. First time they gave me a steak veggie bowl. Second time they got it right. Third time they gave me a salmon veggie bowl. And that was after the clerk verified the order a 2nd time. My husband loves Waba grill but for me it is so so. I do get the chicken bowl and add avocado to it which makes it tasty. It's usually pretty quiet in there and not too busy. Your food is usually done pretty quick. It does come out hot and fresh. It's typically just not my style. I enjoy. Don't base your review off of my taste but go check it out for yourself as my husband would disagree with me. They do have inside and outside seating and sometimes the staff is friendly. Not a fan of bad reviews ., don't really write too many bad reviews but when I do, I mean it. Came here yesterday around 3 pm and the cashier was very rude. Rolled her eyes at least 6 times while I placed my order. Have in mind I only ordered a chicken bowl and pot stickers. I asked to redeem a reward for a free drink and there went the eyes rolling again ! She rolled her eyes and said: ok go ahead , as if I was asking her for a favor or something. When I paid for my food I asked her if she needed the cents (considering all restaurants ask for exact change due to the shortage) and she shrugged her shoulders like she didn't care . So I gave her the cents and she started huffing and puffing. Never have I seen this childish behavior at this waba grill. Everyone is always so welcoming and polite. When she prepared my food she threw the chicken on the grill like she was upset. She kept turning around to look at me like she was watching her back. Very odd behavior and body language ! Ive been trying to contact your store for half a year already. Today i spoke to your "manager" with the worse customer service skills. She Sounded hispanic and young this call was taken 12/06/24 at 12:58 PM . I was expressing my frustration thats been ongoing . She kept asking to repeat myself because she wasnt listening to me and told me to stop having attitude. What manager tells a customer to stop having attitude that is not proper etiquette. I have tried callign 12 times after that to get her name to report her but they see my name on the caller ID and they answer and hang up , what kind of people are you hiring? My issue started 06/15/2024 at waba grill store #283 . I placed an online order for $25.60 . the order was taking so long when were picking up at the time of pick up . 15 mins in and still not ready so we asked worker at time to cancel my order and they said to do it online . I canceled order online twice and never saw a refund . I called multiple times since june , for assistance for this refund they kept saying they would call back i never herd back and i went in person one day they said the manager is not there . They advised me to do a dispute though my card company to get my refund and thats what I did. I got a response for card company saying i picked up the food . I NEVER got my food and thats why im disputing this . I paid for something i didnt get . I want to report this problem either i get my money back or jsut give me the food i ordered . I'm not sure what the normal portions were but I have no complaints. I do the waba bowl chicken and beef half broccoli and half rice. And it's always good. Last night, I wanted to splurge and get a healthy salad with blackened salmon and crisp healthy veggies. I also paid extra for half of an avocado. Unfortunately, what I got was a huge disappointment. The order of avocado had brown strings running through the slices. Other parts were brown from being overripe. The cucumber slices looked as though they had been frozen and defrosted or just starting to decompose. The grape tomatoes were soft and no longer fresh. Even the blackened salmon was a very thin piece that had been overcooked ... no longer flaky and moist. In the past, I have purchased fresh meals that were so tasty. I don't know what has happened with the quality of the food recently. I will say that the young man who greeted me was very friendly and had the food ready when I walked in to pick it up. I'm not sure who pissed off the girl with face piercings but she's so rude. I don't usually go to waba grill but after a long day of work I decided to treat my family to their food because they like it so much. The second I walked in there the piercing girl gave us a death glare and when I walked up to the counter she didn't say anything, not even after I greeted her first. After I politely greeted her she just stared at me dead face as if I had just cussed her out or something. I'm sorry, aren't you the employee? Why am I the one doing greetings and having to break the awkward silence you started? I get that we all have our days, but I've never been so blatantly rude and disinterested with my clients the way she was with me. It's not just the fact that she didn't greet us but her whole demeanor was negative and it made me and my partner very uncomfortable. And she barely bothered to look at us and didn't say a word. After we ordered she just shoved the receipt in my face and walked away. We went a good hour and a half before closing too so it wasn't like we were keeping her late or anything. It also didn't help that I was just coming off work and I didn't even get food for me but just for my family in the hopes of starting off the weekend on a relaxing note so I can take a break from cooking. So we headed to the new store location in San Dimas and ordered only to be told that the store was not serving dumpings at this time and and the uncertain future. It's featured on ther online menu it's on the store menu as you order! However the store is not making any public notice. No need to return to that location until they get things together. read more
