Hi, so I love Waba grill, and I usually go to the one in Walnut off of Lemon Ave....but today I was in whittier and decided to come here for a quick bite to eat. The Waba in walnut is very generous with their chicken and always makes sure their avocados are in perfect condition. Today I am very disappointed in thee service and in the quality of the food!! There was two young girls in the back chitchatting and an older woman in the front who seemed like she hated her job. I'm very upset with this, YOU NEED TO CHANGE WABA GRILL IN LA MIRADA!!!! read more

If you're looking for quick, healthy, and inexpensive place to ear. Check out this spot! I really appreciate the fact that this place is dedicated to healthier choices and the fact that there are only a couple items that are $10 or more. I ordered a chicken plate and a shrimp plate. I paid about $17 and some change for both plates and was very happy with generous large portions! Plates came with rice under the protein, kale salad, and half an orange. The food wasn't flavors-busy but it was deliciously fresh. The kale could've definitely used a squirt of lime or lemon? read more

Every time I go here the f**k up my order. I really don't know why I go back. They didn't have any forks, sauces or anything really available in the lobby area, this last time, they left the avocado, that I paid extra for, off my 15 dollar plate. On top of that I ordered a veggie bowl with white rice, and they left out the veggies. Total SH!T show! Management should be ashamed, WaBa should pull their franchise, because this location is giving them a bad name. I called twice to complain, I live about 15 minutes away and didn't want to spend another half hour driving back and forth to yell at a bunch of kids that obviously don't care. I guess we'll be going to the La Habra location from now on. read more

I have a hit or miss experience with this location. My go to is their Chicken bowl with veggies and brown rice. I feel like the chicken has been more appropriately cooked more often than not. It has a nice grill to it and it's even more delicious with their teriyaki sauce. The veggies are also a nice touch and give you a more balanced meal. My only complaint is their meat portion can be a little off sometimes; meaning my bowl is has a ton of rice in comparison to the chicken. I have had their Waba bowl (with both chicken and grilled beef) a number of times and I do not like this bowl as much as the chicken. And the reason being, lies in the beef. The beef is always overcooked and grilled until its hard, crispy and not that appetizing. Sometimes it feels like eating beef jerky. In terms of customer service, I have always had a pleasant...unmemorable experience (which in my case, is a good thing). read more

A little yummier than Flame broiler cuz u can get avocado and better cabbage , broccoli and carrots with the chicken or steak. Little more expensive than flame broiler. I say that Waba grill is the Macintosh and Flame broiler is the PC read more

Portions are small compared to other WaBa grills I've been too. They put a scoop of chicken and that's it, FULL OF RICE no chicken. They never have onions chopped either! Not going back!! read more

Excellent customer service , was greeted when I walked in . Ordered waba bowl (half chicken/half steak) . It fills you up for $7.00 . Food quality was decent since it's on the healthy side (not much of a big fan on healthy) . Any who , dining area is clean so i recommend this place . read more

WaBa Grill - Waba bowl $7.00 (half chicken/half steak) - Fast Food Near Me - La Mirada, California

Wouldn't eat here again. Bought a tofu veggie bowl. Chef had black dirt under his fingers and I asked him if he planned to put on gloves he responded with "if you want me to" Then I saw him take off his gloves and place them in the box with the clean "unused" gloves Who knows NEVER EVER Eating here again Very gross and disturbing experience Hope I don't get sick read more

How do you screw up an online order? When i ordered steak and chicken for my wife's salad only to have it arrive with chicken only ( of course i paid extra for the steak) and also extra dressing which consisted of the most minute amount of dressing in a plastic cup and a dry salad with zero dressing! I mean this was an online order...all the instructions laid out and they still messed it up. The second half of the order was kinda correct as the main steak and chicken bowl were fine but i ordered several sides of sauce that weren't included either. I will be heading to flame broiler from now on. read more

Vegetables were hard and tasted dirty, I haven't had Waba grill for a while and it wasn't good.

The customer service is horrible I walked in and there were no customers, so I thought, great timing, 3 people were behind the counter working I stood at the front waiting to be serviced for 3 minutes while I was being ignored the entire time, I then asked if anyone was working at the front counter. No one acknowledged me nor responded back by this time , it had already been about 5min that passed so I walked out! I will never go there again. This wasn't the first time something like this happened at that location I just figured due to the noise or the music that no one saw me standing there. But it has happened too often. read more

I'm impressed! I had a friend recommend this place to me and it's awesome. The menu is concise and easy to order from. The service is super fast and friendly. The good was good as well as the Waba sauce. When you get a side of avocado, you literally get half of an avocado. Only thing I marked a star down for was that if you don't order white meat chicken, you get a lot of chicken fat which I don't like to eat it's gross. I will definitely come back here though! read more

Too much sauce!! I should've ask for sause/dressing on the side. I asked for Togo!! Since they put too much dressing on my salad, I didn't even get to eat my salad. So I'm craving chicken, steak and rice. What better place to go than Waba Grill. Had a bit of an issue at this location. Had 2 teenage boys dumber than dirt running the business. They came up short on customer service skills and lazy as hell. Not once did they walk the dining area to clean tables and sweep. They seemed to be bothered when approached to place our order. The cashier didn't go out of his way when I asked for condiments. The chicken and steak had too much sauce. The rice was undercooked. What a horrible dining experience. Never again. Avoid this place. read more

WaBa Grill - Dog food! - Fast Food Near Me - La Mirada, California

Unfortunately my experience was terrible. Cashier was helping prepare food, and boxing food after handling money. Witnessed one the the chiefs continuously pull his personal phone from his pocket to check messages while handling customers food. Don't restaurant staff know that money and phones are the dirtiest things around us. I left, not taking my food, and when I stated my opinion, they gave me a deer in the headlights look as to not know what the heck I was talking about. Sorry Waba. You lost my business. read more

Always has the best customer service I am always welcomed when I walk into the restaurant & my food is always fresh, yuuum thanks Waba!!

Great store and great food! I never receive nothing but the best service here! The employees here care about customer service. I'm not sure why their are some negative reviews because every time I get my chicken veggie bowl with sauce on the side it's always correct! Not to mention how pretty the avocados are. Marlene is the best! read more

Seating area smells like a dirty wash rag. Tables not clean and floors not swept or mopped. And to top it off the AC is not on during the hottest day of the weekend (86 degrees!? ) Plenty if workers here. Don't think they can say their under staffed Don't think I'm coming back. Just left the La Mirada location. What a disappointment. Alec took our order and got it wrong, then had to wait in line again to pay for what wasn't given the first time the order was put in. The manager could have apologized for the error but didn't. She could have waived the $1.80 for the avocado, but didn't. I will not return to this location, ever. I rather drive further to the next closest location. I'm giving 1 star only cause there's nothing less to give. read more

I don't think I've ever had a order correct at this location. Everytime I ask for avocado, they forget it. I always have to call back. I asked for the waba bowl one time, and instead I only got chicken. This last time I got brown rice, the rice was under cooked. read more

I've been to a WaBa grill before back home and the quality of the food and customer service was way better this location. When I was ordering there were two employees and I low key felt a hostile vibe from them, like I was not welcomed, also when I got my food, the rice was over cooked and the beef was bland. read more

Food is good. Service is just ok. Good luck getting the phone answered if you want to place an order ahead of time. Phone is always off the hook read more

This location has been going downhill since COVID hit. I was a longtime Flame Broiler customer for decades and was converted to a Waba believer a couple years ago. Of all the locations I've visited this became my favorite because of the excellent way the prepare and cook the chicken which leaves it juicy and tender and their friendly customer service. But lately it seems they've been struggling to find a talented regular cook and have the other employees inexperienced with cooking, filling in to do the job. The end result is overcooked, over charred, dried out chicken that seems it's been cooked and sitting out for hours. Which for me is a shame because I eat there once or twice a week regularly. Please hire better cooks and keep them! read more

This is an attractive new location that is actually close to my house. The food is good like it has been at other locations. The problem is that there is no toilet facility even though there is seating for about 20 people inside and 20 people outside. I also did not see a sign to this effect as required by Health and Safety Code section 114276. Why does this matter? Well, I had been trying to recommend this location to my mom and her friends. If they were to sit down and eat, they might have to use the restroom in the middle of a meal which would require walking down to Walmart along side everyone else in the restaurant. If my mom came by herself, would her food stay at we table? Would it be thrown away? For now I will have to recommend that people in the area avoid it for this reason. Or go to Walmart first. The franchise owner may want to spend their days there looking for any older, slow moving or disabled customers. He may want to get to know them real well, inform them of the situation, and watch their food while they walk to the restroom, etc. I am surprised I had to find this out from the minimum wage person at the counter since there was no sign on the door. Or maybe they might consider a food truck... read more

I enjoy coming to WaBa Grill I never really have any bad experiences until I came to this location...

I have been wanting to write a review for a while now and finally had a chance to today. I am beyond impressed with the cashier I had on Wednesday of last week!! He was such a positive, charismatic and over all happy young man! As I try to remember his name, my girlfriend and I were in shock with how professionally he did his job, QUICK TOO!! Definitely should be getting a bonus and a raise soon because even at my gym, we all know who he is. If I remember correctly his name was Moses!! As for the food, it was delicious. Nice orange crispy sear the cooks gave the chicken. Rice has been on point last few times I've been there. In all, place is clean, organized and has amazing staff. Only negative I'd give would be the lack of bottled drinks in the fridge. But other than that no complaints here! 10/10 read more

This place went downhill I placed an order for a chicken bowl brown rice and it came out cold. Wanted to speak to the manager and Rene came to me with the most atrocious attitude a manager could ever provide to a customer. I asked if my order can be remade he said okay as my order was being redone I can over hear him insulting me in Spanish as if I can't speak Spanish. Manager Rene needs to be disciplined and properly trained in customer service. read more

I went to this location yesterday, Monday, April 9, 2018 and ordered two chicken plates. Though I love the flavor of the WaBa Sauce, the chicken was so tough that I mainly ate the rice, tossing the chicken in the trash. I don't know it this was a fluke or if this location doesn't know how to prepare chicken, but it was very disappointing. Probably will not return. read more

I have been coming to this Waba Grill for quite some time now. I came to Waba LM yesterday with my bestfriend, I ordered a Salmon & it was absolutely delicious, they now have wild caught salmon & you can taste the difference. The store was clean & the employees who are new looked hard at work. They were very funny girls and I had a nice chat with them. The Manager took my order & was super friendly, she got my food out very fast. The best part is that it wasn't hot in there like it usually is, because of this they deserve 5 stars for good quality food & a friendly environment. I would definitely recommend this place. Keep up the good work! read more

I'm leaving this review because I want to get in touch with the owner but I don't know how. Anyways , I love waba grill and even more so because I belong to the Camp Transformation down the street on Imperial and your food is one of the only approved fast food options (the other is flame broiler). I'm asking if you can please train your employees to take orders better. I spend about $15/ week at your location and I'm very close to going to another Waba Grill because the employees have messed up the order too many times. When they mess up the order, I end up waiting an additional 15 min or so. Typically I ask for my meat DRY.. and I say it about 3 or 4 times during the order, I ask "no sauce please" then I remind them again , "and please make sure it's dry , with no sauce". It even shows the special order on the receipt. Then, I get my food and it has sauce. Please realize your location is close to a fitness center and you have an opportunity to make more money not only from me but other people at my Camp, if you train the employees properly! Thank you ! read more

I am very unhappy with this place because their customer service is horrible. The food also sucks by the way! I came in to get dinner for my family and when I got home I realized my husbands bowl did not have avocado I ordered and payed for. I called them to let them know of what happened and the manager was suppose to call me back to get me a free meal or some sort or freebie for the inconvenience and till this day I have not received a phone call or anything. It's not so much for the money it's just you order something and expect to get exactly just that... and to not follow through with what you told your customer... not ok in my book. Just shows the bad service here and I will NOT be coming back read more
