Customer service is outstanding. Always welcoming, sweet and curteous. Food is amazing. Quick, clean and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend.

    Tony The Manager Was Rude

I came in to order a Chicken Veggie Bowl With Brown Rice. Never was asked by the cashier if I wanted waba sauce ontop. Upon receiving I mention to the cashier I didn't want it with waba sauce. She drops her arms and body language as in saying "UGH", she turned the the manager "Tony" saying I didn't want it with waba sauce. Then the cook , "the manager Tony" lectures me and tells me I need to order it!!?? I replied with i was never asked & asked him politely if he can remake it again please & he jst lifted his arms as in saying "I guess"...the female cashier was generous & said "I'm sorry about ". Inform her it was not her fault for the way he acted & probably won't come back here again!!!

Got very bad black avocado!!!! This should be served fresh ! Very disappointed! I called and they offered me another avocado really??? Waist of money and time

This review is based on the salmon plate only. The flavor is good and especially when it's cooked just right it really hits the spot. Fresh and healthy, you even have the choice of white or brown rice. Sometimes I like the salmon cooked almost burnt, I note a change in flavor almost Cajun-like. The place looks clean with enough parking spaces, but it gets packed around lunch time. I noticed a few black and whites parked outside. I feel safe already. Lol Haven't tried eating in, I get my food to go so I haven't noticed the uninvited guests with wings. I'll be back for sure for another salmon plate to go.

The cafe was located in a parking plaza that had a good amount of space. Ordered the following: - Earl Grey Latte (with expresso) - Hochija Latte - Blueberry Matcha Latte - Blood Orange Espresso Tonic - Strawberry Lemonade - Namu Breakfast Plate - Jam & Riccota Toast - French Toast - Kimchi Pancake - Beef Burrito The drinks were aesthetically on point. Each of the drinks really depended on the individual and what the person felt like. Some of the drinks like the strawberry lemonade or blood orange expresso tonic were more on the refreshing side. The other lattes were more on the creamer side but tasted good! The food all looked and tasted good. If you are leaning more towards sweets; then the Jam & Riccota Toast (the half was pretty filling) or the French Toast. The other breakfast food were more on the savory side if that is what you are feeling for the day. Overall it was good and my friends really loved it! I would like to try some of their other menu items!

My favorite entrees are the namu plate, dweji gomtaeng, and the jjangjorim burrito. You can't go wrong with one of these options! The drinks are also well made! If you're craving coffee, go for their vanilla latte, but if you're looking for more of a refreshing drink, try their sparkling yuzu espresso. Parking is quite terrible in this plaza. It gets super crowded from 11 am and after. Definitely go earlier to avoid finding terrible parking :)

I really wanted to love Couwami Asian Fusion!…read more The small, family run restaurant cozily braided into a strip mall one block south of the 210 FWY on Azusa had piqued my interest when I'd ferried an Uber Eats order from there on SAT. Interest captured by the vivid scents wafting from the kitchen and the mostly positive Yelp reviews, I boomeranged back 24 hrs later to place my maiden order. I went with Shanghai Egg Rolls and the Yang Chow Fried Rice, but I'd asked them to substitute more chicken and Chinese sausage for the shrimp, as your favorite Yelp correspondent has never enjoyed shrimp in any form other than cocktails. The staff is exceedingly nice!!! Owner/proprietor JOSEPH and his wife skate around as balls of determined energy, but with welcoming smiles affixed to their faces. The prices are pretty reasonable- My tab for a generous multi-protein entree and appetizer was $19.34 including taxes. But can we please have a conversation about the flavors? Couwami partisans! Tell me-- Did your faithful correspondent order the wrong items?! My Shanghai Egg Rolls were undercooked, limp and flaccid. The flavors were solid but the texture was so off-putting and uncharacteristic for a typical egg rolls, that I could barely get them down. The Yang Chow Fried Rice was also undercooked- I'm used to fried rice that has a toasted, beigy-yellow finish with chicken or pork cooked to at least medium to medium well doneness. My entree was, as the picture attest, a faint ivory hue and I actually hadta toss it in my skillet for five minutes to toast up the rice and finish cooking the tendrils of chicken, which were served medium rare, a micro-degree above pink but with the unpleasant mouth feel of sushi. Not exactly the way you'd expect your proteins to be prepared! I'm a huge believer in redemption. And judging by the hundreds of 4.2 level reviews on Yelp, I suppose its possible I just caught the cook on a bad night or ordered the WDT (Wrong Damn Thing)...twice! I'd normally accord two stars but will bump this up to three based on the utter civility and decency that Joseph and his staff extended to me.

Located in a busy neighborhood of El Monte, CA, this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Limited parking is available behind the restaurant, and street parking is an option if you can find a space. Upon entering, I immediately noticed how clean, well-organized, and modern everything looked. The electronic menu board is clearly and prominently displayed as you walk in. The menu is quite extensive, with options including wraps, salads, bowls, breakfast items, smoothies, and meal-prepped dishes with chicken, beef, salmon, tofu, and much more. I was impressed by the variety of choices and portions. My wife ordered an Asian chicken salad and garlic edamame, while I had a house salad with chicken and shrimp, plus a strawberry-banana smoothie and (2) protein donuts. Each dish was absolutely delicious. The lettuce in our salads was crunchy and fresh, the chicken and shrimp were flavorful and well-seasoned, the garlic edamame was tasty and cooked perfectly, and my banana and strawberry smoothie--let's just say I wish I had another one right now, as I loved it! If I may make a small suggestion: please chop the lettuce into smaller pieces, as the lettuce on both our plates contained large pieces that we had to cut ourselves. Despite this minor item, it was a positive dining experience, and we definitely plan to return soon to try other items on the menu.

This restaurant has a cozy, welcoming, and friendly ambiance. It's not too fancy, but it's pleasant enough for lunch or dinner. The dining area is moderately sized, not huge or upscale, but comfortable for most groups. I decided to try the Kung Pao chicken, the Chow Mein with vegetables, the Crispy Bomb, and the Hot & Spicy Fried Rice. Let's start with the Kung Pao chicken. Kung Pao chicken is generally a stir-fried dish made with chicken, zucchini, onion, bell peppers, peanuts, and sometimes spicy dried peppers. This restaurant has its own twist on the dish and uses a spicy roasted chili garlic soy base rather than the sweeter, more Americanized Chinese versions. The chicken was tender and very flavorful. Let's talk about the Chow Mein next. This restaurant allows you to order this dish with your choice of protein or just vegetables. I chose to order it with just vegetables. The noodles were perfectly cooked, but I found the dish a bit too salty for my taste. Next up is the Crispy Bomb. The Crispy Bomb is a mixed appetizer sampler that includes two egg rolls, two shrimp tempura, two cream cheese wontons, and three fried potstickers. This appetizer offers a generous and satisfying mix if you want a variety of crispy bites. It was the perfect way to start my meal. Last but not least, the Hot & Spicy Fried Rice. This was by far the star of the show. The rice is cooked with egg, chili, onion, bell peppers, and basil leaves for extra heat and Thai flair. I chose to add chicken to this dish. You are also allowed to choose a spice level, and I selected the second-highest level. This dish was savory with a noticeable heat from the chilies, aromatic from the basil leaves, and balanced with tender stir-fried rice and vegetables. I have been craving this dish again ever since I tried it. Now, let's talk about the service. This is where my final score takes a slight hit. My server seemed a bit moody at first, but she mellowed out toward the end. One major issue was that she was not attentive. Most of the times she checked in were when I was about to finish my meal. I also never got my drink refilled because of this. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, so I was surprised by the lack of attentiveness. Overall, this restaurant is a solid choice for authentic, tasty Thai food. I would like to give it another try in the near future, and I hope the service improves by then.
