The portions with the bowls is great. The one on Garvey could learn something from this location. Staff is friendly and flavor is fresh and consistent. This location is pretty large compared to others I've been to. Would recommend if you'd like to try a cleaner/healthier dine out option. Steak/Chicken/Half-Half bowls are great starter options if you're new. Waba sauce is very sweet so I like to only put a small amount. read more

I'm an usual customer my kids and I love waba. For the most part the personnel here are great and very friendly.Recently visited first time encountering an issue here. Left home to eat but I was very unsatisfied. I felt this time the money spend here was not well invested. Quality of food was poor and wasn't very satisfied with the team this particular day. Both my plates were done the same with both having the thinnest layer of rice a few chicken pieces and veggies shoved into same plate when they should've been on the side. read more

WaBa Grill - Bowl had the most minimal layer of rice and a few chicken pieces. Veggies were asked to be on side but instead shoved into the same plate. - Fast Food Near Me - Baldwin Park, California

My mother walked in to order a chicken veggie bowl with no sauce and extra chicken. I walk in after her and when the food was ready, she realized that the order was wrong. They gave her chicken and beef including the extra chicken. She specifically did not ask for beef. The cashier who took her order said he confirmed the order with her claiming that she did say "Yes" to chicken and beef. She said she only asked for the chicken bowl with no sauce and extra chicken. She never asked for beef. My mother orders the same food every time she goes to Waba Grill so it would be very unlikely for her to order something different. She asked if they could remake it for her but the cashier kept insisting that that is what my mother ordered. She said we don't eat beef so she would never have asked for beef. He kept saying he understood but he repeatedly said that is what my mother ordered. If he actually understood, he would have had the cook remake the order. It was an easy solution! I intervened for her because this could have been easily prevented if they had just given us the correct food afterwards. All they had to do was remove the beef but he simply did not want to. So we asked for a refund. The cashier was then willing to give us a refund but NOT willing to remake the order. I have never witnessed bad customer service like this. Every other restaurant I have been to will always try to fix wrong food orders but the cashier did not want to cooperate with us. He was not wearing a name tag so I couldn't catch his name. He has long hair and it was tied up in a bun wearing a hair net over it. Do better and train your cashiers with proper customer service skills in the future because this is ridiculous... read more

The customer service here has always been amazing. I'm always greeted by someone as soon as i open the door. The inside seems to always be clean too. What I don't like is that the portion size has been considerably low. What I pay is definitely not worth it for the amount of food I get. I used to get a good portion of veggies and rice and chicken. They seemed to have lessened the amount of chicken and veggies. Pretty disappointing. read more

I came in with my 4 yr old son and 1yr old daughter very hungry my son loves waba girll my phone had just died but I had my charger ready and I asked the cashier if I can charge it in here to pay for my food and she said let me ask the manager and the P.o.s manager idk his name but was Asian looked at me and said no twice was really confused even tho I kept telling him I'm trying to pay for my food so we left and just went next door to the Chinese food spot and they let me charge it there and the food was good as well read more

The service here has always been solid and actually improved after the new management took over- kudos to the team for that. That said, during my last two visits, I noticed the portion sizes have noticeably shrunk. A regular bowl now feels more like the mini bowls I usually get for my kids. Hoping this gets addressed, because everything else is on point! read more

I often come here to order, and their food is always so delicious! I honestly think this is the best spot in Baldwin Park compared to other locations I've visited. I didn't get the cashier's name, but they were very friendly and patient with me as a deaf person. They even made sure to wave at me when my order was ready. I really appreciate that kind of service! read more

WaBa Grill - All beef salad with avocado...yummmm - Fast Food Near Me - Baldwin Park, California

I came in to order a Chicken Veggie Bowl With Brown Rice. Never was asked by the cashier if I wanted waba sauce ontop. Upon receiving I mention to the cashier I didn't want it with waba sauce. She drops her arms and body language as in saying "UGH", she turned the the manager "Tony" saying I didn't want it with waba sauce. Then the cook , "the manager Tony" lectures me and tells me I need to order it!!?? I replied with i was never asked & asked him politely if he can remake it again please & he jst lifted his arms as in saying "I guess"...the female cashier was generous & said "I'm sorry about ". Inform her it was not her fault for the way he acted & probably won't come back here again!!! read more

Amazing place love the chicken bowl and all their sauces I wish the would have more to the menu

This review is based on the salmon plate only. The flavor is good and especially when it's cooked just right it really hits the spot. Fresh and healthy, you even have the choice of white or brown rice. Sometimes I like the salmon cooked almost burnt, I note a change in flavor almost Cajun-like. The place looks clean with enough parking spaces, but it gets packed around lunch time. I noticed a few black and whites parked outside. I feel safe already. Lol Haven't tried eating in, I get my food to go so I haven't noticed the uninvited guests with wings. I'll be back for sure for another salmon plate to go. read more

Food was delicious and quite reasonably priced! I will be ordering breakfast in a little bit. The staff is super friendly! Chill ambience!

They don't listen. I just left because they girl at the counter completely did not get the order right. Then wanted to charge me twice. She claim she couldn't hear because of my mask. So I took it off so she could hear me clearly. Then that was a problem. I was asked to leave with no refund. I will be contacting my bank. It will be a while before I come back. They need to better train their staff. And to the Fella who tried to shut me up, Pal the 1st Ammendment wins everytime. read more

1st off got not just my order wrong, also ppl ahead of me. Took 20 min to get food 3 small orders. When we got our food 1 plant base beef, 2 chix. They were very light the plant base was $2.00 more than chix and I only got 5 pieces. Also the rice was low. The person chopping and placing meat in bowls was really skimping on everyone. I could not believe I paid that much for getting so little. The three ppl working were not communicating well and look tense. I hope this was just an off day and business is better than that. Unfortunately I will never come here again. This was an upsetting experience and had to get more food from somewhere else to feed my kids. I was served toddler portions. I hope other people see this and have a better experience than I. read more

Love the dumplings here, so glad they have them now, and the chicken bowls never disappoint either

At WaBa Grill, they strive to serve the best possible teriyaki menu items using all natural ingredients, and no artificial additives like MSG. They use fruit and vegetables to enhance the flavor of their amazing teriyaki sauce. They use boneless, skinless, fat-trimmed chicken, and other high quality meat. Their salads are prepared shortly before serving, their veggies are lightly steamed to perfection, and all meats are charbroiled. No oil is ever used for cooking, and nothing is fried. Staff: efficient and friendly, no complaints there. Parking: located inside a big plaza with a lot of parking spaces I've been here couple of times and have ordered the same thing every time. I've either ordered the salmon bowl or plate (substituted with brown rice and got all steamed veggies instead of salad) and every time it came out just how I had expected it. Salmon, veggies and brown rice cooked to perfection. Salmon was not dry at all. I like to pour their hot sauce and teriyaki sauce over the salmon. YUMMY!! Price: kind of pricey, but then again you get what you pay for. I wouldn't mind coming here again. read more

The food: not to bad. quality, and healthy. The ambiance: nice and clean. BUT, if you walk into a restaurant, and you are going to spell chemicals because they are cleaning the place. Use chemicals that have a nice scent to it. I was sitting there, and they were moping the floors around me. I was so annoyed and think that is the biggest turn off. I don't need to sit there and smell all that crap when I'm trying to enjoy my lunch. As healthy as this place is, isn't it unhealthy to inhale that stuff? I asked the waitress, if she can please stop cleaning around my table, as the smell was really bothering me. She was nice and apologized. read more

WaBa Grill - Number 18 bowl - Fast Food Near Me - Baldwin Park, California

This was my first time eating here. Went to take my daughter out for lunch. Ordered Two chicken bowls one with veggies. They tasted fine nothing special but still good. My problem Was when I left I saw a sign for two dollars off two chicken bowls. I brought it up to my daughter and she said maybe cause mine has veggies. So I asked to talk to the manager and said it was cause I ordered one with veggies. This was my first time eating here. I didn't care about ordering veggies. They asked and I said yes. I didn't know I was going to pay an extra dollar for veggies and lose out on there two dollar savings. Causing me to spend an extra three dollars. So I explained this to the manager that he needs to train his workers on telling the customers the specials. Also why can't customers take advantage of the sale especially after they technically up sale me. The other issue was as I was speaking to the manager he's speaking to the worker in Spanish. I asked her why is he speaking to you in Spanish when you speak perfect English. She said cause he doesn't speak English very well. So I asked where the owner was and she said he's gone till Monday. Hopefully he sees this and cares. Cause I'm pretty upset. read more

WaBa Grill is the place to go when you are trying to eat healthy. I eat here about 3 times per week and with regular exercise I see myself losing a lot of weight very fast! I always get the Chicken Bowl w/ Brown Rice (no onions) and no sauce. This is probably the healthiest option you have at this place and it tastes very good! Overall, you will not be disappointed. Food is always great and consistent. read more

I asked for a salad which by default has white meat and the cashier was charging me $2.00 extra for that, I asked why and she said because of it was white meat. I told her to ask the manager and he confirmed all salads have white meat so she took off the extra charge. Be careful and pay attention not to get overcharged! read more

I guess I am not the only one having issues with this location. With that being said I am diabetic. I usually get the chicken plate and ask for no teriyaki sauce because of the sugar content. Over course of months they have screwed up 7+ times to get my order right. I have called this place several times to complains they can train their employees correctly but they always screw up. My last altercation with them is my final. Their management is incompetent and simply does not care. Very much surprised since there is going to be another WaBa grill that will be opening soon in Baldwin Park. Don't get me wrong I love WaBa grill and other locations have been wonderful. This location just really is the worse representation of the chain. read more
