Every other plumber said it can't be done we got to install PEX, that'll be $3,000 plus additional dollars we can't do anything less it's just not possible but Jason found a way thank you Jason, I got four estimates prior to Affordable Plumbings and one service even started close to the same price as Jasons, but they quickly changed their price for some odd reason it turned out to be another PEX push for $3,000 and a bunch of yappity app over why PEX needs to be chosen everybody's doing it it's the new standard petroleum water hose inside of a vinyl pop can expand multiple times its own size your legs will be hard to find because they're inside the vinyl pipe and you're not going to know where and your vinyl hold a pop protects your new PEX water hose made by petroleum. We paid 5,200 dollars. Something wasn't right and water was backing up in the sink now. The ground has been very dry for weeks and the water still won't drain properly. Rick never came by to see what went wrong and won't return any calls. This speaks volumes! He does NOT guarantee his work or the guy he sends out. If it's something he can't handle fixing then he will ignore you. This is the attitude of a back yard plumber not a professional. I will retract this review if Rick ever does decide to come and see what Josh did or didn't do that caused the problem of water backing up into our kitchen sink now. His crew had the heat pump installed in a day while I went to Pigeon Forge to escape the work. The subcontractors who did the sheet metal and plastic ductwork all over the house weren't nearly as neat and careful. But they also did a good, fast job. Twenty years later the heat pump sounded funny during winter of 2014 -'15 and worked for the first few cooling days of May 2015 but then went out so I didn't blink. I called Kilby Heat & Air immediately and Mr. Charles Kilby came out the same day. In a few minutes he confirmed what I figured...dead compressor. He suggested a brand new electric Rheem heat pump. Lots more efficient, so quiet the birds singing in my backyard literally drown out the noise of the heat pump. Good people to work with. I recommend Kilby Heat and Air to anyone. They maintained my old Ruud heat pump from 1995 to 2015 without charge. Never a problem in 20 years. Good product, correctly installed. Great pricing for new 2015 installation of Rheem 14 electric heat pump outdoor unit and Rheem indoor air handler. Products and services for major HVAC work can really run into lots of money and contractors are hard to tell apart. It is good to know who is trustworthy. Kilby Heat and Air has taken care of the inside environment of my home since 1995. Looks like another 20 years has begun, maybe I'll see Mr. Kilby again in 2035. I'll be 77. Maybe Charles will be retired...doubt it. Charles Kilby and his sons did the work 20 years ago. This year I met his grandson. Good young man...friendly, smart, well-spoken, easy to talk with.

UPDATE: 18 DEC 2019 - Bobby Mays visited my sister again, and managed to get $200 in cash from her. When they came back a third time, she did not answer the door. AND, I found out they did NOT complete the job, but made the situation worse. Contacted my regular plumber (not Cox) and found out he was out of town on vacation. Finally called Cox after 5 pm. Was pleasantly surprised when he answered the phone. He had other jobs already scheduled but was able to come by on Sunday afternoon. (I had shut off everything I could think of so the leak had stopped. Was afraid it was the toilet by the kitchen.) He was able to arrive an hour earlier than he expected which was great. Long store short... he was able to diagnose the actual problem (wasn't the toilet) and the issue was resolved. Very professional, very knowledgeable, very personable. Nice guy and the cost was actually less than I expected for an emergency weekend plumbing call. Hope I never need a plumber again but I would definitely use Cox Plumbing again.

From there on, I would hear NOTHING from him unless I initiated contact. Then the excuses started.. I dealt with this man for three and a half months, with him ghosting me the entire time. At no time did he ever fulfill a promise, or meet a deadline. The last straw was him AGAIN failing to provide information on the repair. That was Feb. 25, and, you guessed it, CRICKETS! I have to wonder what part of "Do It Right" applies to his business.

I had ir serviced by Collins HVAC by a technician that was not the owner. A year later I had a different Service tech from Bristol VA change out that old thermostat. While he was there I asked him to check out our furnace. He told me that whomever serviced it didn't recognize a condensing furnace with a secondary heat exchanger! He said for that reason it wasn't plumbed as to the cold air intake and moisture laden exhaust gases both of which exit from pipes that pass through the homes foundation wall. I should point out that the service tech from Bristol was the owner and was authorized to service American Standard\Trane heating /cooling equipment. I Am now using that the tech from Bristol fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
