Sunset by the fire pit! ‍

Had amazing vacation here. Great pool suite on beach. Fantastic sunset view. Great food options. Highly recommend seafood on the beach by the fire pit!!! Loved spice market. Staff were fantastic. Never made it to spa unfortunately. Oh well, guess I have to go back!!

    Stunning beach.

A perfect getaway. From the outstanding service to the chic but comfortable rooms to the spectacular beach - I couldn't have asked for a better week away. If you are looking for a relaxed but high touch retreat this is the escape to take.

Five-star hotel at a five-star price First let's hit the high point... the customer service is EXCELLENT. Everyone, and I mean everyone, on property go out of their way to ensure the guests are taken care of. Super friendly, helpful and fun. This beautiful hotel is nestled into a beautiful lush jungle and beach area, spanning 4 restaurants, 2 pools, tons of beach access, and a lovely outdoor seating area. When guests arrive, they are greeted with a delicious libation, then sent off to the room where your bags will be delivered to you. You can walk the property or be driven around by golf cart, should you choose that option. This property offers a variety of food choices, surf board rentals, pools, sand volleyball, live music, entertainment, and more. This place also caters to company retreats, weddings, honeymoons etc.... Just minutes from the local town, which also has a variety of shops, bars, hotels, and restaurants, the W offers a lovely retreat and easy access to the west coast of PV. The W offers different room types and each one is amazing. From rooms with beach/pool views, to room with your own pool access, to lush jungle abodes. I'm so glad my husband and I chose this fun and beautiful resort.

My fiancé brought us here for a little gateway before our wedding and hands down the best staff and hospitality I have ever experienced thanks to the hospitality team and management they made our stay feel as if we were home, Hector, Jorge, Diamante, and spa staff were all so accommodating we hope to see everyone again soon! I highly suggest this place the only thing I negative I can say is the rooms are cute and it felt like glamorous glamping trip in the middle of the jungle the rooms can use an upgrade but aside from that I'll come back.

My husband and I stayed at the W Punta de Mita for a friend's wedding. We were in one of their "jungle"rooms, located on the bottom floor. The room was clean and spacious with fun local art and bright pops of color. The bed was comfortable and the staff made sure that we had everything we wanted and needed. They kept the room stocked with plenty of bottled water and fresh towels. From start to finish our entire trip was tremendous. This was my first trip to Mexico and my first time staying at a resort like this. The staff were extremely engaging and friendly, and made everything super easy. The food at the various eateries was absolutely delicious and the drinks at the pool were strong. The bride and groom had arranged for yoga and a couple meals while we were staying there. Morning yoga overlooking the ocean was absolutely breathtaking. The pools were refreshing and helped with the humidity. All in all, with no other real point of comparison since this was my first resort experience and trip to Mexico, I absolutely loved it.

Such a cool hotel! The best part was the staff! The Alejandros LoL ! Got a day pass for $100 (which is spent on consuming drinks and food). Gets you beachside Access, lounge chairs and the adult pool is like WOW!!!! They had a DJ from 3-9pm. We ordered two types of ceviche (soooooo good!!!) and very fresh! Let me tell you- the day pass is per person but totally worth it! I did not drink or eat more than $100 worth from 1-8pm but I was full and drunk !

The best thing about W is the casitas instead of a traditional multi-level resort rooms set up. You have your own entrance and back patio (opted for the lake view so it opens up to the water) that are not shared with other guests. The walk from the beach up to the room is very scenic. The rooms are not terribly spacious but due to smart design and layout, they appears to be much bigger. Food is decent but nothing out of the ordinary. Bests are the fresh grills specials outside of their normal dining menu.

Amazing hotel for a rest and relaxation trip. Super chill and amazing staff. Highly recommend. Got upgraded to their Marvelous Suites. Amazing ocean views. Staff was super attentive. Highly recommend for a nice, chill, R&R vibe.

I love that a lot of people love this place for the decor and unique style.. I would have loved to give a 5 star rating as well but I have plenty disappointments and for the brand W, now Marriott, they could have done so much better for the price and advertisements they have around this property. It is beautiful, absolutely no doubt and really colorful as anything in one of the most colorful cities should be.. but I could have benefited and loved my stay, without repenting on why I chose this place over just a few $100 more at Four Seasons per night! 1) The Staff needs more training on how to deal with customers, different questions, problems, suggestions they could give, etc 2) Each resort we have stayed at including a very remote one in Belize, usually has cash either USD or local currency in case the visitors need some change even for tips etc. That was really weird 3) We checked in and no one mentioned anything like "we have two restaurants at the property and they are located here and here" OR "breakfast is 6-11 am at this restaurant" OR "we have a bar by the beach" OR "lunch and dinner starts at this time" 4) They checked us in to 3004 and there were mosquitoes, one that we smashed on the wall, others that even their staff saw and gave us a spray. With that inconvenience next morning I called them and said I want to change my room and see if there is an upgrade.. I Paid $140 per night for that upgrade to help myself get away from what was their property issue. We moved to room 3104 and there were no mosquitoes in that room! So we saved ourselves from getting tortured for the next two nights 5) The food, btw, isn't that great! Also the buffet is expensive for what they have to offer.. 6) The rooms have a safety observation.. in room 3004 there was a step that is same color as the floor and you have to take it to use the bathroom even at night.. that was really odd 7) one night they provided turn down service and the other night they did not. During turn down service most resorts would either leave a small note, or turn down curtains, change towels if needed and make the room ready.. here it was just the bed! 8) They could small fans or table fans like other places around their main area on the property for people at the bar or while checking in or using their fancy couches... A lot of people told us while we were at Sayulita that you should have stayed at Four Seasons or St Regis since those are much dryer and at the beach so the mosquitoes are rare/relatively less compared to the W.. I wish I would have researched more. I did not enjoy the stay and I wasted my money which is worse. I stayed at Hacienda San Angel for the first half of my trip and I had no such issues, in fact it was amazing and great hospitality with smiling faces and awesome cultural touch.

    Jungle path. Felt safe -walking.

W-hotel chain--we have a W in Scottsdale, so my opinion might be tainted by that location. Uber- not too many drivers out here. Yikes!! Getting into gate for our Uber driver was PIA every single time it seemed. I think they preferred us to use the hotel car service. $40 -one way-to closest town Punta Mita-20 min away. We would tell the front desk & for some odd reason, our driver names never got to the guard gates so they wouldn't let him in. 2 guard gates. Are they expecting a coup or what? I understand this is Mexico but c'mon? Location-- very isolated & chill place if that's what you want. If you are looking for only R &R. This is your place. Or bring your own group of friends to party. TTD-- If you are looking for stuff to do. You might want to stay in Sayulitas... 40 minutes away- a cute little town with tons of night life. Or head into Punta Mita (20 min), very chill beautiful town with surfing, fishing, etc. but shuts down at night. Hotel--Uber chic & grounds are beautiful. Felt safe walking around the grounds. See pix. Got a room with ocean, but I think it might have been better with the artificial lake view. You pull in & must take a golf cart to the front desk & that's pretty much where you can go to eat, pool, etc. Service-- hit & miss. The champagne (Vueve was $200), Choco covered strawberries & flowers were waiting for for me in the room. But of course, as it would be...needed feminine products, called front desk & they were never delivered to the room. Sent hubby to finally buy them. Ice was delivered every time I asked. Maid service was on point. Rooms were spotless. Nickel & dime-- took my champagne bottle to the pool & was charged a bottle opening fee $50 from champagne that we bought from the hotel? whah? Adult pool-- lap pool, very chill. They are construction/building right behind the adult pool so the construction noise was annoying. I just moved over to main pool by dj which blocked out the noise. Beds-- ahhmazing!! Marriot's beds are the best!! Especially since I do use vacations to catch up on sleep among other things with my hubby. Overall, ok-stay. Good, but not great. But remember, I come from a resort town, so my expectations might be a bit high. For the $$$, Meh-- don't think I'll be back.

Stunning grounds and all around gorgeous hotel. A group of us visited for a night to attend a swimwear fashion show. We had 3 rooms which were all decorated in the same very modern fashion - large super comfortable beds, a small fridge with ice bucket and bar accoutrements, a very high priced mini bar, gorgeous bathtub with shower, patio, and absolutely NO privacy within the room. We were able to be on the patios and have privacy as well as our entry way courtyards donned with a swinging hammock chair and a bistro set. However, since we shared our room with another couple, we had to be strategic about showering and dressing as the bathroom was all glass. It was super cute and very cozy. The TV was way too big for the small space, though. The grounds are sprawling with lush grassy areas, plenty of palm trees and local foliage, and pieces of art. There are golf cart drivers who will take you to and from your room for no charge. The lobby is stunning - art work, large comfortable sofas, and the most beautiful tile runway I've seen leading out to a catwalk above the pool. The pool was loooooooong, but only about 4' deep, and warmer than a bath. We didn't find it refreshing as it was a bajillion degrees outside with oppressive humidity, but it was lovely nonetheless. Of course the sand in Nayarit is white and soft with gentle waves that break back instead of directly on the beach as in Vallarta. There is a super cute old truck converted into a bar on the beach, plenty of tables and chairs around the grounds, water sports rentals, and a couple of restaurants. It's not all-inclusive which I find bizarre for this area as there is literally nowhere to go, but I guess that's how they get you. $400/night (we had a travel agent discount, thankfully) plus the insanely high food and beverage prices make this a very expensive vacation if staying for a week or more. I found it perfect for just one night, though. The show was fantastic and I would love to be able to stay here again!

Fun and very secluded resort. The people are super helpful, polite and provide wonderful service. This place is a must especially if you want privacy and a whole ton of amenities. You won't regret the trip to this location. Rooms are great. Food is fantastic. Pools are warm and the ocean is peaceful.

Beautiful and quiet beach. The resort is clean and organized. I love the exterior and interior. We love their food especially the fresh pressed juices. We found so many baby crabs on the beach. Our villa has this cool infinity pool with ocean front view.

But all the condos in all the buildings have the exact same layout with wonderful views. Contrary to the review above, the beach clubs do play music and on occasion they will even have a DJ. But between 10pm and 8am it is indeed quiet time in the complex because many owners do not rent their condos so it is also a residential area. That being said, you can listen to music by the pool and have drinks by the pool or go to any of the 5 beach clubs. Hacienda de Mita is the development closest to town so you can walk on the beach to dinner or drinks and walk back without dealing with your golf cart or a very long walk. This is also one of the only sandy beaches in Punta Mita where kids can learn to surf in a safe place. Let me give you a run down of this hotel…read more.. Rooms: Awesome rooms. The air conditioning here was better than any resort I've been to (& that's a lot). The beds were comfy and the WiFi was decent in most areas of the room. The couch can be arranged into a bed which was useful. TV and drinks in mini fridge are appreciated. The tub had jets and the soaps provided smelled good. My only complaint is that the pillows were of no use! Food: The food at this resort is better than other resorts I've been to as well. The servers and chefs are all very nice. You can always expect great cuts of meat. The specialty restaurants had amazing menus and such great food!!! What annoyed me, though, is that the specialty restaurants do not uphold a dress code. While I spent time to dress presentably, other people walked in before me in work out clothes and shorts and basically everything you weren't supposed to wear. Don't know why management lets that happen. Also, the booze here is good stuff! You can expect good liquor. Pools: Here's where we start to lose stars. The pool area is relatively small compared to other places. It got full during the day and was honestly pretty annoying. To put this into perspective, don't even think about bringing pool floats. What I look forward most to on my vacations is relaxing by the pool and unfortunately I wasn't able to do that here...

Do not stay here. Waist of money. They say it's a 5 star hotel and i would say a 1 star hostel has…read morebetter amenities than this place. First there is no where on the property to relax. Your room is fine at night but once you are sick of the party at the pool and want to relax you will hear the loud club music come through your room. There is a "quiet" pool on property but quiet it is not. You will be bombarded by people bringing their loud speakers or locals that have day passes for, not kidding, 17 pesos ($1) singing out of key drunk the entire time there. When you ask security to ask them to move to the loud pool they never come. Again not asking them to be kicked out everyone vacations differently but asking them to go where there is a pool specifically for their style vacation. However, the resort encourages this by playing loud party music at the quiet pool most of the time. By the way bet it doesn't say anywhere online when you book that the first night at a so called 5 star hotel you will be told that your first day you have to eat at the buffet and there are no other options for you because the booking system shuts down at 3pm right as you check in. Don't get me wrong to be honest the buffet is the only good food you will have the whole trip so after staying here I see why. The restaurants are terrible food. Not to mention half will be closed due to not being at capacity. Forcing you to not have options when you pick where you want to eat. The worse by far is the Asian restaurant. I do want to say service 50% of the time is fantastic at restaurants but sometimes it's barely can be called service. Alcohol. You will not get what you paid for. Liquor is watered down forcing you to stick to things that can't be altered like wine or beer and not always the best for a long day at the pool. The pool will be broken 90% of the time with so much junk pushed into the pools from drinks. And the staff at night will just push all the stuff off the pool into it vs into the brush. Which was disgusting. You will be forced to be in their timeshare presentation and if you decline they will hound you daily until you do. Even if you politely decline several times. I also met several that are a part of the palladium travel club and their experiences are not worth a penny they already spent. Oh and we had a poisonous scorpion in our room on the second night. When we asked the staff they said they never see them. We thought we had been stung so we went to the doctor and he said they are there all the time. Why the need to lie about scorpions I get it we are in the jungle. Overall this resort (better referred to as a brothel) has gone down hill massively since we last stayed in 2017. Do not waste your money. If you would like to stay here fly to Mexico and find a travel agent in the city so you can take advantage of the cheaper pricing because to spend more than $1 a day here is way over spent. Stay here at your own risk because the staff will laugh at you if you bring your concerns to them and complain. If you are a local that wants a turn up party you will love this place it's cheap and so is the resort. If I could give them negative stars I would.

With a maximum of 8 beautifully appointed and sparkling clean rooms (16 guests) you will be outnumbered by staff (but never see them unless you need something they appear like magic) and will enjoy the quiet all adult environment. Yes it is all ADULT with no children which please make note of! If you don't have children or need a break from yours it is magically quiet with the exception of margarita glasses toasting and waves crashing. Even though it is "small" it is like staying at a magic castle with every detail in place including the swim up bar, tequila bar, and many different types of pool seating and cabanas. There is a library with games and tons of reading material in case you need some entertainment while you are there. Each meal will be served (unless you want otherwise) sitting on the deck over looking the ocean and gorgeous sunsets. Did I mention this is an all inclusive resort ? Yes all inclusive meaning no signing, wondering how much to budget each day, tipping, pushing servers, or any worries till the end when you pay your balance and generously (because they deserve it!!!) tip the staff to the owner/manager so no awkwardness. If you have ever been at another all inclusive or cruise you will know what I am talking about. The water is purified meaning we brushed our teeth, bathed, and ate every last delish vegetable (raw) and not one person in our party ever felt anything but perfect. The grounds are beautifully maintained-I think there is a person who just goes around perfectly trimming leaves everyday! They can arrange for on-site facial/massage or truly anything else you wish. They packed up a lunch/drinks/goodies for a day of fishing and were extremely accommodating. One of my favorite parts is the three perfectly maintained, groomed, behaved, delightful small pups they have on the property. Besides their sweetness you would not even know they were there unless you seek them out! Mark the owner is top notch and has mastered the art of the perfect place to vacation! I know I am going to miss someone (sorry we loved you all) but Robert, Mauricio, Francisco, Charlie, David, (another fabulous server in the afternoon/evening who knew my Rose Vino Preference), and all of the fabulous maintenance/cleaning/kitchen crew were like family-we miss you and can't wait to return!

We were in Sayulita for a wedding, and the Sayulinda Hotel was one of the hotels suggested by the…read morewedding couple. It was the only hotel option in town, and we thought that it would be nice to stay somewhere in the middle of all of the action. Boy, is it! It's definitely in the middle of the action, meaning that there is club music or concerts until 2 or 3am every night. While the hotel provides ear plugs (and I never travel without mine), those ear plugs don't stand a chance against the thumping music which reverberates through the walls. This might have been exacerbated by the fact that we were staying in the patron suite (on the top floor / roof) which doesn't have a "traditional hotel door" to the room. That being said, the hotel is lovely and they do make every effort to let you know that it is a loud location. The patron suite is located on the rooftop of the hotel, just next to the pool. There is a gate to the hotel room and you have to walk down stairs to get to the door of the suite (not well suited for people who have difficulty walking stairs); the door to the hotel room is very cool - it's a wooden door with a big plank that secures the door closed. The room is large with a big open bathroom, a seating area and its own private patio with cushioned lounge chairs and seating area. The ceilings are quite tall, and it has a thatched roof (which also probably reduces the sound-proofing). The patron suite is supposed to have a dedicated poolside lounge bed which is reserved for the suite, but people definitely don't respect it...and there isn't anybody policing it. As for general facilities, there is a rooftop pool which has a beautiful view of the beach. The pool is small but it does have loungers in the pool. There is a rooftop bar, but there isn't any food, though they will let you order from another restaurant for delivery. All of the rooms come with complimentary breakfast which was quite tasty and was available throughout the morning - it was provided by the restaurant next door and was an egg dish with toast, coffee and juice. Service was all very pleasant.

So much so, that we brought friends back for drinks yesterday. During this second visit, there was a DJ and special promotion going on, so it was loud and a bit more crowded at the bar but still so fun. Our group of 8 had drinks by the cabanas... I had a Paloma which was delicious, a couple of friends had fabulous espresso martinis with tequila, and others had specialty cocktails off the menu. Service was friendly and attentive both visits. I can't speak to staying here but if you are in Sayulita, it's definitely worth a visit!

To me there are two things that really make this hotel special- the fantastic owners and the amazing staff who are so hospitable and accommodating, and the tranquil environment. Once you come in off the street and head back to the bungalows. Also the grounds are meticulously cared for, the decor is fantastic and authentic Mexican, and the bungalows come equipped with mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster oven and microwave along with dishes, cups etc... Everyone goes above and beyond to make our stays relaxing and fun. The pool is great and usually very quiet. They also have Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrellas and beach towels that you can take to the beach which is a couple minute walk, so you don't have to bring any of this stuff or worry about renting it. If you're looking for a great experience give Hotel Vogue a try! They are simply the best!

First, there is the Hotel Vogue staff -- the most friendly, kind, helpful and knowledgeable staff you will find anywhere! The owner, Marv, felt like family immediately. He was so friendly and made it feel like home. The front desk staff, especially Kevin, were all so amazing and helpful with local recommendations and all round kindness. Let's not forget about Pinata...the cutest and most affectionate hotel pup you WILL EVER MEET!!! She made us smile every day and we were so happy she was constantly wagging around and giving us love. We felt so incredibly safe at Hotel Vogue. We often even found that we were leaving our bags out on our open patio for long periods of time because Hotel Vogue is so safe. They had someone at the front door always and a private security gate PLUS a coded door at night so that you always felt very safe. The facilities in this hotel are BEAUTIFUL. Everything is very clean, comfortable, spacious and you feel like you are in a private oasis when you enter. It's right in the middle of town, but you don't feel like it once you enter Hotel Vogue. The amazing plants and wildlife makes you feel like you are in a tropical paradise. The rooms are very spacious and extremely comfortable - they have made a beautiful space that is so authentic to the Mexican culture which is what we loved most. Even though the owners, Marv and Mary, are from Michigan, they have created the most authentic and beautiful space at Hotel Vogue. We cannot express how much we loved staying here for our honeymoon and NO DOUBT we will be back again! Thank you for everything Hotel Vogue!!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I came to this resort for a wedding. The resort at first glance is…read morebeautiful but the negative experience I had far surpassed the views the resort provided. I stayed in a room with one other person. Our room had THE WORST smell I've ever experienced to be honest. I wish I was exaggerating. There was a major plumbing issue that no amount of perfume or room spray could address. It became so bad, that my friend and I could not sleep in the room. When asked to be switched we were told no rooms were available. We ended up sleeping on the balcony of the room for the night just to get relief. THE BALCONY. That's how bad it was. The next day, we could not get into another room until the evening. By then the wedding had already taken place, I had net 2 hours of sleep after already having very little sleep from a long trip into PVR. There's nothing like having no rest on what you hoped to be a vacation. I was an absolute zombie for my dear friend's wedding. I went searching for public showers to get ready because I couldn't shower in my own room, and when asked how they would address it, they sent housekeeping to come spray bleach everywhere in site. Other guests told us of smell issues in their room. None as severe as ours but persistent nonetheless. Housekeeping came and sprayed bleach and left them as well. I truthfully deserve some partial refund but in an effort to be gracious I just asked them if they could compensate us with a massage... they refused that and offered access to their jacuzzi instead. The jacuzzi runs from 10am to 6pm -- during the hottest hours of the day. So the moment it became useful to actually go, they were closing down. I'll be honest, jacuzzi access doesn't feel like a gesture that is invested in rectifying the situation, but rather pacifying the situation. I slept on a balcony! I've never had such a terrible experience anywhere. My friend and I tried to make the best of a really terrible situation, spent valuable time we could have spent resting talking with staff and moving between rooms when not engaged in wedding activities, dealing with a room that smelled terrible and then smelled like overwhelming bleach on TOP of the odor, and then were offered access to their jacuzzi instead. To make matters worse when changing rooms, they told us that they could either offer us a room that smelled slightly better on the same floor or their suite (which was in great condition). Of course we wanted the suite but then they said we had to pay.... WE HAVE TO PAY TO FIX A PROBLEM YOU CAUSED?! But it gets better. We obviously decide to not pay more money and take the less appealing room. The next day we find out that another pair of folks had an issue with their room. Far less dramatic - but they were given the suite entirely for free! Mind you, my friend and I are black women and the couple is white. While I would love to say that race is not an issue, we were consistently ignored by wait staff, dismissed when raising issues, and when I brought this discrepancy forward the wait staff rolled their eyes and redirected me to management. My other friends (who were also Black) had a separate issue where they were assigned the wrong room and ended up settling into a room where other guests were also assigned. Imagine being two black guys unpacking your things and then two white women walk in saying you're in their room?! It could have gone soooo wrong. There's been disorganization, very little done to rectify the issues caused, and a lot of time wasted on trying to get settled instead of relaxing and enjoying the trip. I'm thoroughly exhausted as I prepare to leave tomorrow. I'm truly disappointed.
