Our furnace broke last Fall and we needed to get a new one. We use a home warranty company however…read morethey didn't have a company to suggest in the Chaska area so we found Classic Heating and Cooling. We got the new furnace installed and all seemed fine. The other day water was leaking from our AC (which he had to do work on in order to put in a new furnace for us last fall) and ruined all of our hardwood floors downstairs. My husband figured out where the issue was from and promptly called the owner of this company who did the install. He came out today to take a look and realized that the air conditioning drain was clogged which is why water was backing up into our home. He fixed that and then when he went to leave he says we owe him money for fixing that even though that is something he obviously should have checked last Fall during the install and scoffed when we asked if he would cover our ruined hardwoods, very unprofessional. Unfortunately for him he made a bad business decision as we know many families in this city and will not be recommending his services. We've also called our Home Warranty company to make sure they do not recommend him to anyone. We are young professionals with years of HVAC issues to come and he will no longer receive our business. I manage a Property Management company myself and have learned that a great contractor stands behind their work and will own up to their mistakes knowing that when they do the right thing they will have a customer for life. Unfortunately that did not happen here and I wouldn't feel right about not letting others know about this negative experience we had.

On 10/25/2019 we had Burnsville Htg & AC install new Daikin furnace, Daikin AC unit, and an…read moreAprilAire 600 humidifier -- top of the line equipment, I believe. Travis and his apprentice Tyler were the installers. I have three concerns about part of their work: 1) In the process of installing the humidifier, they compromised an existing copper pipe, causing a fast-drip leak directly above our water heater to occur. This was our worst concern. Since this leak was discovered after hours (around 5 p.m.), the answering service put us in touch with the on-call technician. He told us that he would come out and look at the situation. As of this moment (6:22 p.m.) we are awaiting his imminent arrival. NOTE: I was not watching the installation, nor did the installers ensure that everything was functioning properly. I didn't pay attention to (nor was I looking for) any leakage when I looked at the furnace and humidifier just after they left. 2) The installers placed the hoses from the furnace and the humidifier improperly. The result is that they release water onto the cement floor of the utility room more than into the drain. This needs to be redone. Specifically, the hoses appear to be a bit too short. 3) It would have been appreciated if the installers had cleaned up the debris (including screws and some plastic ties) that was left on the floor after completing their work. It gave me the impression that their work was not performed as respectfully as we would have liked. They also could have suggested what I might need to do with the shrubbery that now touches the AC unit, which has a larger footprint than the old unit. I would have considered it an appropriate gesture if Travis or his apprentice had suggested that I trim the bush so that it doesn't touch the unit. As an aside, the apprentice (Tyler) was extremely friendly and respectful to me (Mike), and I appreciated that. On the other hand, Travis was more reserved and not as skilled as a communicator. Since good communication is a skill and is directly related to outstanding customer service, perhaps someone at the company can offer him some assistance in improving that skill. That would reflect very positively on Burnsville Heating & AC's reputation. ------------------------------------------------- This is a follow-up to my previous review about the installation of a new Daikin furnace, AC unit, and AprilAire humidifier on 10/25/2019. As we had requested, Burnsville Htg & AC's on-call technician, Daniel Davis, arrived when he said he would. He did several things, for which I commend him: 1) After inspecting the leakage problem associated with the installation of the AprilAire 600 humidifier, he discovered that the "sharkbite" ring attached to the new copper piping had not been fully seated. He fixed that. (Contrary to what I had stated in my earlier review, the existing copper piping had not been compromised.) 2) He noticed that the hot water heater pilot light had not been reignited. He ignited it. 3) He moved the hoses that lead from the furnace and the humidifier so that the water now flows directly into the drain rather than partially onto the cement floor. 4) When I informed him that the floor had not been cleared of extraneous screws and plastic ties, etc., he cleaned it all up. Mr. Davis did an outstanding job of addressing our situation. He took care of everything that needed attention following the installation of our new HVAC system. He did so with politeness and utter professionalism. He even commented to me (Mike): "I like to help people." Now that is a sign of a great professional. Both my wife and I deeply appreciate his excellent service and courteous style of communicating with us. We're glad that he is an employee of the company.

Kevin had it fixed in a couple of hours, the pressure switches also had gotten wet and needed to be replace.
