It makes you feel like you are somewhere fun and unique away from home. The food here is delicious. On my most recent trip I had the ultimate BLT, some chips, and some very delicious chicken and rice soup. Absolutely loved it all! I also had a few bites of a rice crispy treat and my husband's Key Lime pie. Both were delicious. I also tried a molasses cookie, which was yummy. And lastly, I had a caramel coffee whose name escapes me at the moment. Everything was wonderful. Highly recommend visiting Sugar Leaf. I am looking forward to our next visit.

The food was consistently solid, the breakfast sandwich was tasty, and the quiche was also really good. Everything felt fresh and well-prepared. The first time we visited, the latte wasn't great, not quite the style I prefer, execution and ingredients are more like Starbucks, but the food more than made up for it. It's a cozy spot with good variety, and overall, it left a positive impression. Service was decent. Great the first time. Second time they left our food sitting for awhile waiting to be brought out and we had to go ask for it. We'd definitely go back the next time we're in town. A reliable choice for breakfast in Branson.

It is a large elegant building with plenty of room for groups, but at times there is a wait. We had the chicken fried chicken and the meatloaf entrees. Both were served with green beans and mashed potatoes. They offer complimentary bread with three types of butter. We really enjoyed the apple butter! And dessert is not to be missed. We had the apple pie, and it was delicious, and more than enough for the two of us. You can peruse the shop before or after your meal to see some of the student made products.

The dining hall is beautifully adorned with cabin-esque motif and overlooks the campus and mountains. The menu has a great variety and notes items that are made by the students (e.g. butters and cakes). Their complimentary, fresh made bread basket with three types of butters was a fantastic start to the meal. We ordered the mushroom soup, the pork belly sandwich w/ fries, and the shrimp and grits. I will say that the pork belly po' boy was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I almost stayed in town longer on the second day just to order it again. The pork belly was smoky, tender, and sweet and paired so well with the grain mustard, pickled onions and arugula -- superb balance of flavors. My husband also noted the shrimp and grits was some of the best he's ever had. The shrimp and pork belly in the dish were perfectly cooked and the Cajun spices were well balanced. And we have to tell you to try their fresh desserts. The brown butter chocolate cake was a special ending to the meal. This is an excellent stop and our student server provided excellent service - they're doing a great job there and is a highly recommended of ours during your stop during your visit to Branson.

Let me just say that we have been to Branson twice for probably a combined dining experience number…read moreof around 12 times and this blew everything so far out of the water, it should be in it's own league. The poutine was fabulous. The fry coating was crisp and tasty and the gravy was full of flavor. The Reuben sandwich is outstanding! The way they cut that corned beef was nothing short of magic. An egg on there? What? I've never heard of such a thing, but yes please. And I had the brûlée corn; which I may need to learn how to replicate because I've never seen this on any menu in Chicago, but it's too far to travel as often as I'll be thinking about that dish! The old fashions were smooth! Went with vanilla and loved the subtle flavors. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was a delightful mix of old school pub/English castle. All of it was just what I was hoping to find. Food off the beaten path that deserves a huge shout out. In a town of bland flavors, this place shines like a real gem!

Sat in a comfy table with a padded pew close to the bar with our backs to the wall, which instantly put my hyper vigilant husband at ease (IYKUK). Chatted a bit with our kind server who was also a millennial, how do I know this? The eye contact and lovely snarky conversation. My husband ordered his med rare, which probably came out more med and not enough pink for his liking. Correction on my part, I got the mahi mahi with parmesan grits and green beans and I didn't even need to look at my pictures to recall, it was that memorable of a meal. Being early January a parking spot nearby was an easy find, I imagine though finding one come spring will feel like a miracle. I'd love to stay at the attached hotel but found it's already booked a year out. Doesn't surprise me, the old English charm with its stone and dark wood is straight up story book.
