It's very convenient for guests staying at Wyndham at the Meadows, Wyndham Mountain Vista, or The Suites at Falls Creek. We dropped in after pumping gas, hoping to pick up a few kitchen basics -- bread, eggs, bananas, and microwave popcorn. We found a well-stocked store, with a large selection of pantry basics, refrigerated items, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy, and beer/wine/alcohol. We purchased a white bread ($2.50-ish) and a 3-pack of a generic kettle corn microwave popcorn ($2.99). We passed on the bananas, because they were expensive (89 cents per piece (NOT per pound), or $4.99 for a small bunch) and were sad looking. The biggest disappointment was that we decided not to purchase other items because they were not clearly marked with prices -- eggs (12-packs and 18-packs available), bags with fresh-looking green and red grapes, clamshells with strawberries, and more. There's also an internal food counter (The Earl of Sandwich) where you can order freshly-made hot foods (pizzas, etc.), but it's open only M-F. On Saturday, the day of our visit, there were hot calzones and single-sized pizzas available under heating lamps.

This system is coupled with a phone messaging system that keeps you informed about the status of your prescription. The problem is that the employees completely ignore the system because they don't like it either; several employees have admitted this. Over time with many instances I have learned not to trust the system. I have one very common prescription that is almost never kept in stock and they always assure me, "it will be on the next delivery truck" . sometimes it is sometimes not. If it is not, they never contact you. You have to contact them.... if you can get past the automated system. There is always a great turnover in techs at this store. New people are not trained very well; sometimes they try to charge for something that should be no charge. If you question them about this you often get an attitude. After 3 years of trying to figure out their system I have realized that they really don't care. All you get is attitude and obfuscation. So, I just transferred to a different pharmacy. Goodbye Walgreens in Branson West! And good riddance!
