Great location, downtown by the theater and Chinatown, and we had a stopover at the bar downstairs - good chicken sandwiches, sliders, fish tacos, and snacks! They didn't rush us out at all, though they do lock the door after 10p. Interesting modern decor, dark colored lighting and lots of dark wood seating spaces and tables. Did not stay at the hotel, though.

Nice clean hotel. Great location. Nice hotel bar and onsite restaurant. The room decor had an Edgar Allan Poe vibe with. Modern twist.

One night stay for business. ~$600 for the room and conference the next day. Honestly one of the nicest rooms, best city views, astonishing service, delicious food and vibe I have had with any hotel.

Doormen here are useless. Totally inattentive and unhelpful. Ask them for assistance with baggage and all you get is a cold stare. Front desk staff are pleasant though. Rooms are spacious and somewhat clean. Maid service doesn't really make your bed. They just tidy it up. W is ok for a short business trip. But not really a luxurious stay.

Amazing staff!!! We had an issue with our cab driver who was unbelievably inappropriate. The entire staff from the guys upfront in valet to the kind ladies Gabriela and Bri at the front desk were absolutely amazing! They were both very kind and understanding to our issue we had and went above and beyond what they even had to do. Bri gave my daughter a chocolate bunny and then Bri and Gabriela even sent to our room a dessert and meat/cheese plate with a beautiful note. Thank you so much! You have made our day better!

How the hell does this place not have at least a 4.0? Only reason I don't give it a 5 start rating is because it's expensive AF to drink and eat here, but the bartenders Toni and Randy are cool AF. The rooms are sweet. Location is awesome. They got a DJ Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This place is the shit

The location is within walking distance of attractions within the theater district. I had a king corner suite and the room was very nice. Thankfully, it was a free stay because I would have been very dissatisfied paying $800 a night here. They charge a $35 dollar resort fee and provide you a $35 dollar credit for breakfast. But, essentially you're really paying for dinner since they charge you $35 - it's a misleading feature. The valet staff were very courteous and professional. Given how much the hotel costs with the hidden fees, I would consider another hotel closer to the downtown area.

2 queen beds room.

The W is located right in the theatre district and 4-5 local clubs nearby. It's close to Chinatown, Boston Commons and the subway. We walked to many attractions. I requested extra towels and a high floor room and that's what we got. We were on the 15th floor but we faced Sutter St. We could hear the traffic, horn honking, emergency vehicle sirens. Good thing we brought ear plugs. The room was spacious and modern and the bathroom was large with a walk in shower. I wish they had non scented lotions and cleaners. The lotion and facial cleaners were strong and musty. The staff were very nice. We didn't try the restaurant or room service.

Went here for a lovely holiday party hosted by the hubs' workplace at the gallery lounge right inside the main entrance. Beautiful hotel from the outside and inside - the space decorated very tastefully! Great space for tables of food placed all around - charcuterie table on one end, a carving station at another, a cute Asian station with takeout containers, and finally a made to order pasta station. And a nice bar at one end with cool art on the walls. There's also a few booths for seating while the remaining area is standing only. There's a room leading from the space which was being used for coats. Next to the fireplace they placed the dessert station with beautiful cupcakes. Restrooms are conveniently located down the hall and had a beautiful decor too. We used SpotHero for parking just down the street at the Revere hotel garage for $18 which is not too bad for this area. Overall a great experience here!

BEWARE THE VALET!! This hotel has valet only parking. A couple months after the fact... I just discovered the valet disabled my car's dashcam as soon as I dropped it off. I was just in an accident in May 2025. The literal last recording on my dashcam was dropping the car off to the valets a W Hotel Boston on March 20th, 2025. The cam was purposely turned off within a couple seconds of the valet driving it. It runs 24/7 and can only be manually shut off. Three months later, I was in an accident and discovered my dashcam was purposely turned off right after I dropped it off at W Hotel, Boston. Don't trust them!

This review is for Tablemation, one of the art pop up restaurant at the lobby in the W Boston Hotel, located in Chinatown/Theater District area. Made reservations and got seated in a private curtain room with 5 other tables with the art installation. Menu came with our name on it and our waitresses were so kind, down to earth and explained how everything worked in a 3-course set menu with crispy rice tuna to start, followed my filet mignon and braised beef pasta, then a nice fruit cream dessert, where the whole experience was just a little over 2 hours. Great experience for all ages to try at least once. Food was not too bad, but not fantastic as expected in something like this.

All are good but Canopy by Hilton in Boston is a step above. Service was GREAT, especially Yanelee who was working at the desk when we checked in. She is why I prefer to stay at Hilton hotels and will not stay anywhere else in Boston. She was friendly, helpful and went above-and-beyond to get us in our room!! The room itself was spacious, VERY clean, comfortable and well appointed. The location was great, very close to the historic district and a short Uber from the cruise terminal and the airport. Now the area is always busy and non stop traffic, but it was centrally located for the things I wanted to do. I only did ride share for things that were outside of the downtown Boston area or too far to walk with my mom. The hotel is clean, front desk associate Wensley, was always so kind and pleasant whenever I needed something or returned from sight seeing. I was in a premium double queen and OMG, spacious room, barn door bathroom, hardwood flooring, a seating area, view of the greenway, fridge in the room, and an overall very nice and comfortable room. It was enough space for us; we weren't stepping over each other and we used the extra seating area as a changing area when we needed to change for the evening dinners. My only complaint is with housekeeping, the room was rarely cleaned prior to 4pm and we would leave around 9am every day. We only received 2 face towels despite asking for 4. After going to the front desk and asking a note be entered we finally received enough face towels. We couldn't figure out when they would take our bath towels, we put them on the floor they would take them, put them on the rack they would take them. I have always put them on the floor and if on the rack it means I'm using them again. Either way, I did appreciate fresh towels on the days the room would be cleaned prior to our return. Overall the stay was comfortable, the bed and pillows were comfortable and I slept better there than at home. I'm starting to notice a pattern with sleeping away from home....maybe I should stay away from home more often! One thing to note, each floor has an ice and filtered water machine. That was a nice touch and it kept me from having to purchase bottled water and spending extra money for delivery of water.

Pure arrogance. Ironically, when I initially called the front desk to get in touch with Melissa, the person was kind, responsive and genuinely striving to be helpful. FYI: I had to make my reservation through the aforementioned senior management as I had donated to a youth-serving nonprofit and won a night's stay as a silent auction item for $350. I am being told they are voiding the certificate for a one night stay and, to add insult to injury, being falsely accused of "selling for a profit": I sent them a receipt for paying $100 more than I sold to someone because I could not use the voucher myself as planned. This is offensive. I understand that the Lenox is a long-standing institution in Boston. Unfortunately, they do not have a "people first," non-elitist approach in their communication and customer service norms. I may not be a high net worth, "VIP" client, but basic civility and customer care should be foundational. This was my first time attempting to do business with the Lenox. I also have to note here that their "corporate social responsibly" (CSR) practice of donating stays at the Lenox to nonprofits is totally against the spirit of CSR. As far as I can tell, the Saunders Hotel Group wants the tax write off without actually providing hospitality and services. It's a case of all image/show, no substance. I will never stay or otherwise give my business to the Lenox. I advise others to stay clear if you want a values-centered, people-first hotel.

I say that because if the restaurants are full, you can still order food and drinks there as a hotel guest. They always have chilled regular and sparkling canned water and little snacks throughout the day, coffee and tea bar in the morning. Always a very nice touch. Yes, it is pricey, but you're in Boston. The environment was beautifully decorated for Christmas, like last year, and I had to take some pictures to have as desktop wallpaper on my computer. We had a very nice time and the selections on the menu were impressive. I went with the carrot cake chai black tea, mainly because it had pumpkin pie kinds of spices and vanilla rooibos. It tasted wonderful, like an autumnal tea, and all our teas came in beautifully decorated tea pots, apparently from Australia. The Four Seasons also does this interesting thing where they give you a liquor that fits with your tea order, to be added if you wish or drank by itself. I had a sip of mine and from someone else's, a bit strong for me but a bailey's one was alright. I'm fine with just tea myself! As for the food, this year's high tea was one of the best I've had. The menu was different from last year's, which was great too but in my opinion this seemed like an upgrade. Some of the food items included pieces of salmon in a little pastry, mini lobster roll, peking duck crepe, curried chicken croissant, a beautiful deviled egg, vanilla bean and brown butter scones, an eggnog tart, and a Santa hat shaped raspberry pastry. We even got some alternate options for a lactose sensitive person, so that's a great plus as well. The atmosphere was elegant and calming, and the service was great. The Four Seasons high tea was a very special holiday event, and comes highly recommended!
