I went in initially to see if they can alter my white graduation dress to keep the neck of the dress down because it was loose. They said they couldn't do anything about it besides iron it to help it stay down which I was fine with initially, but then they gave me my dress back with a black stain, which I mentioned the stain wasn't there before and they said they didn't do anything besides iron. Pretty annoyed just because they could at least own up to their mistake and offer to take the stain out instead they denied making a stain on my dress. read more

I typically come to Vys Alterations and everything is ok. I came to Vys Alterations today at around 5:47 and they close at 6pm. They had a customer in the house and advised me that I would have to wait until they were done with the current customer prior to being seen. I was like ok and waited my turn. We ordered a 3pcs suit from Amazon and my son needed to get the pants hemmed and also fitted because he is relatively a small person. The co owner which is the guy who does the talking was saying that it would be pricy if I got the blazer altered and did insinuate that it would be a lot of money. I still get the pants sized and get the estimated cost and it's 65 just for the pants and then he stated the vest would be about 45 dollars. I got a receipt and left and as I was driving I realized that it would be a disservice for me being a single mom of 3 to pay 65 for the pants and I only paid 75 dollars for the suit and decided that I would just turn around and get the pants and order a smaller suit because I have that right as a customer. I then get home and get a message saying that we are no longer allowed to come back to Vys alteration because we wasted their time and they stayed open later for us and that the receipt he gave us would cost them money and it's going to be a hassle when they file taxes. I am blown away at this happening all because I decided to not go with their business. Typically when you are shopping or going to a store you have the option of saying no you don't want the services. There are no signs in the home that states that either you go with their service or be banished. I have been to Vys twice before but I am under the impression that once you step foot in the door you either go with them or be banned to never return. I have attached the screenshots below. I was calling my aunt who is a seamstress while I was there to see if she could fix the blazer since he said that they wouldn't be able to do the blazer due to his wife being overwhelmed with orders so that I could leave the pants. I was speaking I'm creole so I wouldnt think he would understand me speaking creole. Please upload the video so that the ones who speak fluent Haitian Creole can vouch for me. He expressed that he could only do the pants and if he uploads the tape you will see me stressed trying to figure out who will fix the jacket. He said that fixing a blazer takes too much time that they didn't have and that I would need to find someone else to fix the vest and blazer and that's what I was doing while waiting on him to size my sons pants. read more

When contacting the company, I was told they do alterations. When I got there with my mother of the bride dress, was informed by the rude husband that they don't do alterations! Well, isn't it called Vys Alterations and was told when I called they DO! He also had the super rude nerve to tell me I did not look good in the dress that my daughter loved on me. So much self confidence was gone, that I purchased two other dress and refuse to wear it! Stay away and he needs to stay out of the shop!!!! read more
