When I asked about the timing, the owner showed me the amount of work currently in progress behind the counter, which appreared to be a relativily small volume (about the size of half a closet). Based on that, the extended turnaround time was surprising. I was offered a faster turnaround of one week, but with an additional $100 fee. That pricing felt excessive for straightforward hemming. The customer before me appeared to be receiving a quicker turnaround at a lower cost. The customer was receiving her item in five days for $50.00, which added to the confusion about consistency in pricing and timelines. I ended up leaving without service. She is very busy and her turn around time is usually 3 weeks. Her work is worth the wait. If you need a garment done properly, especially expensive items, she is the seamstress to go to. I had searched everywhere from Sun City Center to Brandon and couldn't find a place that answered the phone and had good reviews--until I found this gem, and now I understand why their reviews are so great. My bridesmaid dress arrived late, and I had less than 2 weeks to get it altered before flying out. The owner was absolutely amazing--she actually answered the phone, welcomed me to walk in, and immediately gave me helpful input on what the dress needed to fit better. I came here with what I think is not a common request for a seamstress. I had an order to crochet a baby blanket f or someone and she had an expensive personalized label made for it. I was not comfortable hand sewing it on so I brought it here to see if they could do it. Karen, the owner, said no problem. She quoted me a price, said it would be a week before it's ready, and I said go for it! I had two labels actually, the personalized one for the front and my label on the backside right behind the other one. showed her where and how I wanted them and off I went. one week later I returned to see if it was ready and Karen said it had just come in (I believe her sister sewed it). She showed it to me and I could not have asked for anything better. I was thrilled. Karen was very friendly, as a matter of fact we had a great time talking and laughing. I dropped into this little alteration shop one Saturday morning. The woman, Karen, I believe, working in the shop was super friendly and greeted my wife and I. I had two pairs of jeans and one shirt that needed to be altered. She let us know prior to getting the process started that it would be about a 3-week turnaround for the items. Perfectly fine by us. I tried on the clothes and Karen made the measurements asking for my feedback and offering her expertise along the way. Karen made light conversation with my wife while I tried on the different articles of clothing. She was very friendly. My clothes came out perfectly. Both the jeans and the shirt. I came in to have 2 pairs of pants hemmed, and the turn around time was about 3 weeks, which was fine because I was in no rush! We went in and even though she was booked she made sure to squeeze it in knowing that this was SUPER important. She said they'd be ready Saturday, latest Sunday early. These ladies are awesome! Every time I've been in they have been friendly and fun, their work has been outstanding, and they have completed the items by the time promised, if not before. On my most recent visit they were very busy, operating on a 2 1/2 week turn-around. I pled that I really needed my jeans earlier for a trip, and they kindly agreed. Then they even completed the work earlier than promised! I do wish they were open on Saturdays, which would make it a little more convenient for those of us who work during the week. I had a uniform EMERGENCY and didn't realize it until the 11th hour...naturally. I just got married and my name tapes were sewn on the wrong uniform top. I couldn't go to work "out of uniform" even if it was something as simple as having my maiden name still on my uniform. I arrived at Sew N Tell and this wonderfully kind woman, who was weaving her magic on her sewing machine greeted me and listened as I unfolded my dilemma. She asked me when I needed the alteration to be complete and told her I needed It by close of business because I had to report to work with it the next morning. 2 weeks ago, I dropped in 2 pair of pants to be altered for an upcoming trip I was taking. I was assured that they would be ready in time, which they were. The price for each pair to be altered was $20 each, as they both had cuffs. I went back today to pick them up. When I got them, I noticed the hem lines were showing and were very evident. I started to share my frustration with this and the owner/operator became very defensive immediately. She blamed the manufacturer, and took no responsibility for the the poor end result. I reminded her that she was the professional, and I was just the customer. She did offer to try to fix the problem by removing the cuffs, but I told the cuffs were the reason that I bought the pants to begin with. She continued to be very defensive, and started to raise her voice at me. I asked her not to raise her voice, reminding her that I was her paying customer. I reluctantly decided to give her the opportunity to try to fix the problem by removing the cuffs, against my better judgment. She then said, in a very hostile tone, " You can leave my premises now". At that point, I'd had enough of her unprofessional attitude and said I would accept the full refund, which she earlier offered in a very insincere manner. I took my pants to a professional cleaner, who could not believe the poor workmanship. They rectified the pants for me. Needless to say, I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

I am moving to California in 7 days and desperately needed a basic dress hemmed. I wanted to wear it on my trip as I am driving with a toddler across the country and wanted to be comfortable.
