My husband and I have VW 2000 Eurovan. We have had a very ruff time finding a mechanic we could trust. It has been our experience that most mechanics say they can work on any VW.However when it comes to the Eurovan it takes more than just your average shade tree mechanic. Even so called experts AKA "The DEALER" could not fix our van.Keaton,Cam and Vicky were great!!! We let the crew know that we would be taking a trip to Disney this summer and the van had to be ready. Recently I took my 1999 Passat to get a bunch of work done including, but not limited to suspension (control arms, tie rods), timing belt, water pump, head lights, throttle body adaptation and these guys not only fixed up the car for an excellent price, but they explained to me the work being done, the parts being used and made sure that I didn't leave unless I was satisfied. To top it all off, they were extremely friendly and since my car had to stay over night, they drove me back to my place. These guys really know what they are doing and not once did I feel like I was getting taken for a ride like I do at dealerships. To me, these guys get all the credit in the world. I have really struggled to find someone who will work on my VW in this area, so finally found these guys online. The reviews I read were all right, they are very upfront about what it's going to cost to get the car running again and how long it will take them both getting parts and doing the repairs. Generally car repairs turn in to some sort of major stress, but Keaton was all smiles and reassurances. I own a 02' VW Passat V6 and over 2 years i have taken it to Keaton for every repair since. The repairs included are : timing belt, water pump and tensioners. Wiring harness for motor and new front and rear brakes. And soon to be o2 sensor and engine mount. I like the way Keaton conducts business with you and you never see any run arounds and guessing. He is an honest, straight forward guy who will tell you the truth about what is wrong with your car, what needs to be fixed immediately, and what problems may be minor that can wait for another time. Keaton recently moved his shop to Rex Road in Friendswood. I left my VW with him for minor repairs in late June. The garage is clean and now on a gated property, which adds extra security for cars left there overnight. I drive an older car ('99) and appreciate that Keaton has twice been able to keep me on the road with small, inexpensive repairs instead of the major overhauls quoted to me by the dealer. He has never pushed me toward a more expensive option, which I relly appreciate in a mechanic. If you need your VW worked on I "highly recommend" that you take it to VW Autoworks. These guys know VW's extremely well and are very qualified & knowledgeable to diagnose a problem and get to the root of it. I had a problem with a sensor light that constantly stayed on almost since it was new. Dealership couldn't solve the problem, but the guys at VW Autoworkds got to the bottom of it and fixed it for good, as well as some other repairs I needed. Prices are excellent too. I have a 2002 Passat V6 and my waterpump went out on it around 110,000 miles and brought my car here and had it replaced along with the tensioners and the timing belt and the owner had my car ready the day i brought it in. it was finished in 3 and a half hours, and the owner of the shop picked me up from my house to pick up my car; awesome! Called dealership for Volkswagen repair job and it was more than twice the price. Everybody......... go to this top notch shop and you will be treated like family there. I took my 2000 A6 Audi to Keaton and was very happy with the repair. This was a difficult job, replacing a leaking aux electric water pump which is located UNDER the intake manifold of the 2.7L bi-turbo engine. Other coolant leaks were found and repaired as well. In addition, I had oil leaks which were properly repaired. Good quality work and fair prices. This was my first visit to VW Autoworks, but I certainly will return for any future needs on the Audi. read more

There seems to be a glut of dishonest rip-off artists in just about every vocation in H-Town. Contractors, mechanics, lawyers, and even lawn services have all given me problems. These guys are definitely an exception to that rule. They'll fix what needs to be fixed, will tell you what needs to be done later on down the road, and indicate problems that you can drive on for a while. Professional, but laid-back and friendly. Great down to earth mechanic that was able to diagnois issues immediately. What was the most amazing was that I delivered by car at 1 PM for a new water pump and was called the next day saying he had finished it at 11:30 PM. Quick service for a reasonable price. On another occasion, I was working on my car and had a quick question and was able to swing by the shop and get an answer so that I could finish the job. read more

I have been going to this shop for a few years now. They are always friendly , straight forward and priced well (especially for VW). I now live in Houston but make the dive down because of their amazing service. They aren't a big chain and they know what they are doing.
