These are great sunglasses but getting them to honor their was initially challenging. Ultimately they did honor their warranty.

We bought a pair of blue Ice 180 sunglasses in November 2022 and by the spring of 2023, the outer finish on the lenses is peeling off AND the paint on the ends of the arms that go over the ears is chipping off. when I contacted their customer service and sent them a photo, they said that the warranty was not in effect because it was "clearly not a manufacturing defect"! Really??? That is absurd! Especially since that relatively new product has already been DISCONTINUED!!! Hmmm. I wonder why! So they said if I return the glasses (at my expense) and pay $75 they will give us a replacement pair of a similar design. That is not what their warranty says, as it says they will pay for return shipping and repair or replace at no charge. This abuse of customers may work in France, but it doesnt work here!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! They do not honor their warranty. Maui Jims on the other hand, will repair or replace your glasses for their LIFETIME it seems, regardless of why they were damaged, for a mere $75 and return shipping. Would give negative stars if possible. Avoid purchasing or dealing with them at all costs. THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. After having owned Vuarnet sunglasses in my youth in the 1980's, when there was a resurgence of the brand - I jumped on board again and purchased 3 pairs in a short period of time. The last pair, purchased January 2024, is a model that has a mirrored coating. The coating is wearing off in two spots - exactly in the same place on both the left and right lenses. These wear marks are from the point of contact where the lenses touch the inside of the sunglass case. Ridiculous that this would happen and so quickly. They are clearly using an inferior technology to coat the lenses because I have never had this issue with any other brand (maui jim, prada, oliver peoples, persol, porsche design, etc). I contacted customer service and the response I got was "we can't help you because you did not buy these from us. you bought them from an authorized vuarnet dealer who ordered these from us and then sold it to you". Nice to have a company that stands by their product (said with sarcasm). You would think I bought these out of the trunk of someone's car. I sent them full documentation and sales receipt from a store that is authorized to sell their sunglasses. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Inferior product and horrible customer service. read more

Don't try to contact Vuarnet USA about an online order. Rarely answer the phone, voicemail asks you to leave a message but voicemail box is always full. They don't answer email, doubt they even read it. If you get someone on the phone, they have very snooty attitudes. Stay away! read more

I received a package with a missing item worth $390. The insurance covered from the delivery carrier was $50 and there is still a difference of $340. Vuarnet have decided to ignore my request and should be accountable for refunding me the $340 difference as I never received the item. I do not recommend Vuarnet. read more

Received the WORST customer service at the Soho location from their Store Manager Vince Bonilla. Beware, he will talk you into buying a frame that doesn't fit you, will make you NOT take the box and will refuse an exchange (even if you want to exchange an expensive pair for a much cheaper frame and you don't care about the keeping the change) TWO days after - and even if his co-worker promised me he would exchange them the day after... not only that but he was extremely rude in front of 3 co-workers that were sitting in the store and happened to have used the retail store as their office for the day. We are not talking about a $100 pair of glasses, I paid $300 bucks to receive the worst service and be humiliated in front of his staff. I just tried to return (exchange) a pair of sunglasses that I had bought 7 days ago. Because they had finger prints on them I was told they were considered used and therefore the return policy was void and that even with the original cardboard box (which in fairness I had left at home) I couldn't return them. Impressively terrible customer service. Ordered 2 pair of sunglasses. The sent one pair correctly and another pair that were not what I ordered. I contact them immediately and was told I would have to ship them first, before sending the correct pair. Took a long time to get a return shipping label and even more time to get the correct pair shipped to me. What arrives? The same model that I already had. I tried to contact them via email with no response (ever). I tried to call them and the number was disconnected. I check the website and read that they were remodeling their store, but that I should call with questions (the number was disconnected). I called today and spoke with (I think) Vincent. He's a jerk. Told me that I didn't contact them in time. Said his notes showed that I took about 20 days to contact them the first time. What he didn't know is that I have emails showing that I emailed them one day after the order arrived and that the delay was cause by their slow shipping. I told him I was tired of dealing with them and would just return everything. He told me that they would not issue a refund under any circumstance. I called my credit card company and they will get my money back to me. First time I've ever had to do this and I've had credit cards for 35 years. This after I've bought three other pair of glasses from them. Too bad to see a USA distributor destroy the Vuarnet name. read more
