Workers pile the items on, despite asking for a specific amount. Very unethical.

One star. Horrible. Unethical. Old and stale inventory. I wish I could give 0 stars. I went into the shop and asked for 1/4 pound of three different items. The lady understood exactly what I requested. One other worker also confirmed that I asked for 1/4 pound of each - Beef jerky, longan, candied ginger. When I went to pay for my order the jerky was 1.68 lbs, (6x more than what I asked for), the longan was 1.85 lbs, (7-8x more than what I asked for), and the ginger was 0.6 lbs (almost 3x of what I asked for). I immediately asked that the extra inventory that the staff tried to sneak into my bags be removed. This was like 8x more than I asked for. I almost walked out in disgust. I wish I had. When I got home, I noticed that the items were old and stale. Unfair and unethical business practices. Old and stale inventory. AVOID this place! Store grade: F

My aunt, dad, and I got carried away and ended up spending way more than we had intended. Without realizing it, we spent almost $400 in beef jerky, dried squid, and tea! The beef jerky, dried squid, and other dried/preserved items are stored in barrels and sold by the pound. The beef jerky we bought ranged from $26-$32 per pound, and the dried squid were $26-$28 per pound. The sales ladies were really good at letting you try a sample of everything so you get sucked in. We made the mistake of going there on an empty stomach before lunch, so everything tasted great and we wanted it all! What we discovered a little too late was, if you said you wanted a half pound, you ended up with a pound. If you wanted a pound, you ended up with 2 pounds. They basically doubled the weight of everything we selected, so we ended up spending double what we had intended. I didn't mind this time around, since my aunt was visiting from Philadelphia and they don't have this store there. Under normal circumstances I would have them take out half because it was double what we wanted, but I let it slide because it was for my aunt. Very sneaky, so just be mindful when you go there! I have never spent this much on beef jerky!

This appears to be a chain; however, I always end up visiting this location in Little Saigon. They offer samples of their per pound products and complimentary cold/hot tea so you can see which flavors you like. Upon entering, someone will attend to you to offer you samples and assist with packaging. If you plan to purchase more than one thing and there is more than one customer; I recommend you make sure that you get your own basket for items. Otherwise your order might get mixed with others. I think they can speak some English, but it's definitely easier if you can speak another language (e.g. Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, etc.). Every time I have visited this location though, they have definitely been nice although sometimes you may feel a little rushed if there are other customers. It can feel very fast paced. If it's your first time, I recommend buying their beef jerky (recommend Kho Bo Cay = BBQ Beef Jerky OR Kho Bo Dac Biet = beef, salt, chili), dried seafood (squid is a good choice) and/or wrapped candy fruits (recommend dates). All of it is by the pound. They have a promotion of buy 5 pounds, get free half pound. For 10 pounds, you can get a free pound. Since they eyeball by the pound items initially then you will probably get more than you asked for. If you want to be exact, then be clear if you want less during the weighing process. If you end up ordering a lot of different items and can't identify the items by sight alone, I recommend you ask them to label items as you order them. Otherwise it's definitely confusing when you are gifting/eating items. They usually heat seal items the bags, but it was a bit chaotic during one of my visits so a couple of my bags weren't sealed properly. I recommend just zipping them all up to be on the safe side. They also sell tea and other items, but jerky was the main goal for me! Nearby parking is limited, but there are spaces farther out.

If I can give 1 star I would due to being dishonest and crass service. If you ask for a 1 lb you're getting 2+ and the scale is not right. It's disorganized chaos in there and I have no idea what they are saying when I got one helping me to sample and another bagging for me. Before you know it you're walking out $100 worth of snacks.

I got some salted Vietnamese instant coffee here that tastes pretty good The bad: My toddler threw up upon entering because of the fishy market smell (though it wasn't strong at all). It gets crowded in the aisles. The interesting: I got a Spongebob and Paw Patrol egg surprise toy here with candy inside. The candy and snacks aisle is open by the vegetables which is a totally different setup than most markets.

Funny, we came here just for that, but we ended up getting only 2 boxes of it and 10 boxes of MAMA noodles with pork flavor at $6.98 per box. It didn't matter which noodles we bought as along as my Mom was good with her purchase. During our visit, I walked around the store. It's your typical Asian supermarket, but it has more Vietnamese brands. The store was quite clean and organized. Aisles were a little snugged though. It has all the essentials that a supermarket normally has... fresh produce, meats, seafood, dry goods, household stuff, alcohol section, etc. Lady at the register was okay. She didn't count the boxes and trusted us. Thank you miss! Check-out was easy and quick. Upon exiting the store, a staff member marked our receipt on our way out. I found it interesting that an Asian supermarket would have this procedure in place. It's all good. I probably won't be back here too often or much at all to shop as I don't live near the Westminister area. This was a special request visit from my Mom. Just for the noodles! LOL

Long awaited review as I have been coming here for decades. There are so many markets all over…read moreLittle Saigon, however, I keep gravitating here. Seems to me, it is less crowded than other markets. (If I can avoid crowds, I will). It was Tet New Year season and I needed to get a few ingredients for some dishes I planned to cook. My first priority was the fresh oxtail in the meat department. I have gone to many markets for this cut and it seems this is the best place for a ~2 pound tray of mixed size tails. The fat is all trimmed off, as opposed to other markets that leave a fat layer behind that you are paying for. It also depends on if you prefer leaner tails. Next, the produce section. I picked up some cailan (Chinese broccoli). For the most part, the Asian veggies are pretty fresh - since there is a higher turnover rate of Asian veggies in this area. It was good on this day. So many varieties of green veggies, I love it! The fruit section is also pretty impressive. Papayas, guanabana, dragon fruit, pommelo, tangerines, korean pear, manzano bananas,...Not your ordinary apples and oranges. Dry goods include a plethora of rice, including Thai sweet rice, Japanese rice (perfect for sushi rice), red rice (known for high fiber and low glycemic index)... Who likes Chinese Style sausage? Me! It is called Lap Xuong, in Vietnamese. I love making Thai sweet rice and serve with thinly sliced Lap Xuong - my mom fed us kids this often! And yes, they have a good supply of this here, so stock up, it will last forever in the pantry. Vietnam is the world's second largest coffee producer. You will see the crazy amount of coffee products sold here, for example, Vinacafe. Most are packed as individual serving packets which includes cream and sugar. Too convenient for consumption! Also perfect to have in your pantry. You shall be impressed with the chili aisle. Sambal of all kinds. You can make an awesome pot of chili with this heat! Lots of Lunar New Year items too. I am sure there are still some left for purchase if you didn't have a chance to pick some up yet. They do have a liquor department too. Asians can drink iykyk. If you do, please don't drink and drive. Parking is ok, if you go shopping off peak hours. Market is on Beach Boulevard and it could get pretty busy so plan wisely. So enjoy your visit. It is always fun to discover a new product and try something you have never eaten before!

For meat, I grabbed ground beef, pork neck (currently on sale for $1.99/lb), and chicken breast. Prices were definitely reasonable. For produce, quite a few items were cheaper than H Mart, including enoki mushrooms, Japanese yam, daikon, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and carrots. That said, the Japanese yam didn't look very fresh this time, so I ended up skipping it and buying it at H Mart instead, even though it was a bit more expensive. Some items were priced about the same as H Mart, like napa cabbage ($0.99/lb), onions ($0.39/lb), and bean sprouts ($0.99 per pack). One change I noticed is that cucumbers are now pre-packaged instead of being sold loose, so you can't pick them individually anymore. They're also slightly more expensive than H Mart now. They also had a great deal on Driscoll's strawberries, $0.99 for a 1 lb box, which is definitely worth picking up. Overall, still a great spot for affordable grocery shopping, especially if you're cooking at home and want to save a bit here and there. (visited on 3/31/2026)
