If you're from Hawaii, it's a crack seed store basically. Last time I was here, I totally missed…read morethe side where they had li hi mui gummy bears and the gummy worms. I saw they had pickled mangoes in the fridge too. I decided to leave a review since we've frequented this exact location numerous times and I've gained enough experience to leave a review. So first, every time I've come in they speak only Vietnamese. Did not hear anyone speaking English, so make sure you bring a translator. They give samples of items. Some where given when asked but many times they grab something random and hand it to you. There were little to no prices on a lot of items, so I feel like they make up the prices as you go. Also be very careful with the amount you ask for, I feel like I'd ask for 1/2# but they go over and then still charge you instead of trying to fix the amount. But I guess it's ok since we can't get any of these seeds in Maui. But still, if someone asks for 1/2#, be accurate about it. Since there's no prices and no receipt given, you can't really be sure of the amount you pay. We got a bunch of seeds and rice crackers, price came out to about $70. Then when we got back to the hotel, noticed we were missing the squid. We tried to rummage around for the receipt to make sure we weren't charged for it but couldn't find anything. Oh well, hopefully we weren't charged.. The positive, they do ship their items to Maui. I think shipping started at $10/#. They also have TONS of locations, so if this one isn't nice, try another. lol.

Horrible customer service between the employees and the store owner…read more I went in looking for beef jerky's. As a store courtesy they offer you to try as many beef jerky samples as you wish. So I did. After I didn't liked how most of the tastes were they told me that if I'm not buying anything then I should get out. WTF?!?!? The Asian ladies yelling: "IF YOU ARE NOT BUYING. YOU GET OUT!!!' Really?! Okay, I'II leave. I'll make sure nobody I know whose business are in Westminster will not buy anything from YOU.

She says the veggies are fresher than their competitor market across the street. The fruits looked really fresh as well. The parking lot can be crowded. I got some salted Vietnamese instant coffee here that tastes pretty good The bad: My toddler threw up upon entering because of the fishy market smell (though it wasn't strong at all). It gets crowded in the aisles. The interesting: I got a Spongebob and Paw Patrol egg surprise toy here with candy inside. The candy and snacks aisle is open by the vegetables which is a totally different setup than most markets.

Funny, we came here just for that, but we ended up getting only 2 boxes of it and 10 boxes of MAMA noodles with pork flavor at $6.98 per box. It didn't matter which noodles we bought as along as my Mom was good with her purchase. During our visit, I walked around the store. It's your typical Asian supermarket, but it has more Vietnamese brands. The store was quite clean and organized. Aisles were a little snugged though. It has all the essentials that a supermarket normally has... fresh produce, meats, seafood, dry goods, household stuff, alcohol section, etc. Lady at the register was okay. She didn't count the boxes and trusted us. Thank you miss! Check-out was easy and quick. Upon exiting the store, a staff member marked our receipt on our way out. I found it interesting that an Asian supermarket would have this procedure in place. It's all good. I probably won't be back here too often or much at all to shop as I don't live near the Westminister area. This was a special request visit from my Mom. Just for the noodles! LOL

Long awaited review as I have been coming here for decades. There are so many markets all over…read moreLittle Saigon, however, I keep gravitating here. Seems to me, it is less crowded than other markets. (If I can avoid crowds, I will). It was Tet New Year season and I needed to get a few ingredients for some dishes I planned to cook. My first priority was the fresh oxtail in the meat department. I have gone to many markets for this cut and it seems this is the best place for a ~2 pound tray of mixed size tails. The fat is all trimmed off, as opposed to other markets that leave a fat layer behind that you are paying for. It also depends on if you prefer leaner tails. Next, the produce section. I picked up some cailan (Chinese broccoli). For the most part, the Asian veggies are pretty fresh - since there is a higher turnover rate of Asian veggies in this area. It was good on this day. So many varieties of green veggies, I love it! The fruit section is also pretty impressive. Papayas, guanabana, dragon fruit, pommelo, tangerines, korean pear, manzano bananas,...Not your ordinary apples and oranges. Dry goods include a plethora of rice, including Thai sweet rice, Japanese rice (perfect for sushi rice), red rice (known for high fiber and low glycemic index)... Who likes Chinese Style sausage? Me! It is called Lap Xuong, in Vietnamese. I love making Thai sweet rice and serve with thinly sliced Lap Xuong - my mom fed us kids this often! And yes, they have a good supply of this here, so stock up, it will last forever in the pantry. Vietnam is the world's second largest coffee producer. You will see the crazy amount of coffee products sold here, for example, Vinacafe. Most are packed as individual serving packets which includes cream and sugar. Too convenient for consumption! Also perfect to have in your pantry. You shall be impressed with the chili aisle. Sambal of all kinds. You can make an awesome pot of chili with this heat! Lots of Lunar New Year items too. I am sure there are still some left for purchase if you didn't have a chance to pick some up yet. They do have a liquor department too. Asians can drink iykyk. If you do, please don't drink and drive. Parking is ok, if you go shopping off peak hours. Market is on Beach Boulevard and it could get pretty busy so plan wisely. So enjoy your visit. It is always fun to discover a new product and try something you have never eaten before!

Stopped by Shun Fat to pick up some groceries while getting ingredients ready for dinner, and…read moreoverall found some pretty solid deals. For meat, I grabbed ground beef, pork neck (currently on sale for $1.99/lb), and chicken breast. Prices were definitely reasonable. For produce, quite a few items were cheaper than H Mart, including enoki mushrooms, Japanese yam, daikon, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and carrots. That said, the Japanese yam didn't look very fresh this time, so I ended up skipping it and buying it at H Mart instead, even though it was a bit more expensive. Some items were priced about the same as H Mart, like napa cabbage ($0.99/lb), onions ($0.39/lb), and bean sprouts ($0.99 per pack). One change I noticed is that cucumbers are now pre-packaged instead of being sold loose, so you can't pick them individually anymore. They're also slightly more expensive than H Mart now. They also had a great deal on Driscoll's strawberries, $0.99 for a 1 lb box, which is definitely worth picking up. Overall, still a great spot for affordable grocery shopping, especially if you're cooking at home and want to save a bit here and there. (visited on 3/31/2026)
