Great big Asian Market. With big parking lot and huge space for all the homes need for cooking or essentials. Plenty of options and choices. From fresh vegetables to fresh meats and seafoods. Plus frozen section for all the rest with vegetable foods. Great and friendly staff and there are few shops within and also there is a post office there too. The place are clean, bridge, and well organized.

Beware of expired and rotten foods at this market. That's what they try to sell, and as soon as you walked out, it's very difficult to return. They are a dishonest person. Look at this rotten apple for $13

I discovered this place while helping a friend look for a Tesla Supercharger. Right off the 405 on…read moreWarner Ave there is a Vietnamese market called Mekong Supermarket inside the plaza. The store itself is smaller if you compare it with places like Shun Fat Westminster Superstore or Hòa Bình supermarket. There is only one checkout counter and the staff all seem to be Vietnamese. After walking around, they pretty much have all the basics covered. The focus is Vietnamese and Southeast Asian ingredients and sauces. They have their own seafood and meat counter with number tags where you can ask them to clean or cut fish, plus a small deli to go section. I also noticed their delivery vehicle outside that says wholesale, so it seems like they also supply restaurants in the area. Overall it feels like a neighborhood market that also does some wholesale business. The fresh section looked clean and there was no strong smell. I happened to see ground pork on sale for $2.49 per pound. The regular price was $2.79. Of course I had just paid $3.99 per pound earlier that day at 99 Ranch in Irvine because I wanted convenience. While we were there, a Vietnamese lady next to us was buying a big pile of meat and seafood and chatting with us while waiting for it to be cut. She said she always shops here. She ended up buying the last of the ground pork in the display. We asked if there was any left and the butcher said he had more in the back, so we immediately decided to grab two pounds. I think this place is perfect if you do not want to push a cart around a huge store and just need to pick up a few items quickly. They are open until 8pm. Next time I have more time I will come back and explore a bit more to see what other interesting things they carry. So if you need charge and also get groceries, this is where you'd wanna go. Selection wise everything is pretty fresh. They also have a lot of prepared Vietnamese foods as well which is nice. Lighting seems a lot brighter here compared to the other place. I think the vegetables can be a little bit more expensive compared to some other places, but if you don't want to go all the way up to Garden Grove or Westminster, this is a nice alternative.

From the seafood department to the meat department, to the produce department. And so much more. Everything looks fresh and the displays are well presented. I've never been to Japan but i can imagine that i would find a lot of the same products in a Japanese market in Japan. The store is lively with a nice energy. The service is friendly. I did not purchase anything this time as i was accompanying some friends but I recommend checking it out.

Update since my last review... back in 2015!…read more Tokyo Central is where the old Marukai used to be. Everything has been upgraded - the store is newer, brighter, shinier! Sure, prices have caught up with inflation - but not by much. Prices here for fresh sushi/sashimi are very competitive compared to your sushi restaurant. The biggest draw/benefit since the Marukai rebrand/refresh? THE EPIC FOOD COURT! Literally, one of the best Japanese/Hawaiian prepared food offerings in Orange County. You've got everything from fresh sashimi party trays, to fresh cut sushi and hand rolls, all sorts of Japanese style sandwiches (egg salad, chicken katsu, etc.), fresh bakery breads, mochi, bento boxes featuring teriyaki chicken to chicken karaage, ramen bowls (these are amazingly good for store-bought ramen), poke bowls, and a hot food buffet bar - $10.99/lb. Service is always a plus, from the friendly security guard (whose been there since they were Marukai), to the cashiers that remember to offer you chopsticks. Store environment is clean, uncluttered, plenty of spaces to roam around. Parking sucks - especially if you come during lunch time and/or the weekend. Check out my photos!

Stopped by Shun Fat to pick up some groceries while getting ingredients ready for dinner, and…read moreoverall found some pretty solid deals. For meat, I grabbed ground beef, pork neck (currently on sale for $1.99/lb), and chicken breast. Prices were definitely reasonable. For produce, quite a few items were cheaper than H Mart, including enoki mushrooms, Japanese yam, daikon, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and carrots. That said, the Japanese yam didn't look very fresh this time, so I ended up skipping it and buying it at H Mart instead, even though it was a bit more expensive. Some items were priced about the same as H Mart, like napa cabbage ($0.99/lb), onions ($0.39/lb), and bean sprouts ($0.99 per pack). One change I noticed is that cucumbers are now pre-packaged instead of being sold loose, so you can't pick them individually anymore. They're also slightly more expensive than H Mart now. They also had a great deal on Driscoll's strawberries, $0.99 for a 1 lb box, which is definitely worth picking up. Overall, still a great spot for affordable grocery shopping, especially if you're cooking at home and want to save a bit here and there. (visited on 3/31/2026)

The store is well laid out and easy to navigate and they do a great job of keeping it clean and stocked. I have also never felt like the store is packed, despite plenty of times seeing a packed parking lot outside. Clearly people park outside the market and going to other businesses in the center. Either way, even if you don't know you need something that Lucky Seafood has, it's worth checking out. It's a great casual food shopping experience where you might find a new favorite treat or seasoning or spice.
