It's hard when you find one of the best doctors, you can't really just move to another. His staff is also spectacular! Their customer service is on point, they follow through every time. Doctor Mendius came in the room and said she needed a psychiatrist and not a neurologist. We have then since gone to Kaiser. My daughter has severe epilepsy. She had surgery and now has a neuro pace. No thanks to you or any care that she got from you. As a neurologist you should have been able to diagnose her epilepsy. Your only assumption of her was that she needed a psychiatrist. You asked over and over what drugs she was on. She was on no drugs at all. She's a good girl with epilepsy. If I could give you less than one star I would.

Before I could get home from that test she called and said I needed to go to the ER for an additional test. I had had gall bladder surgery about a year prior and it was highly infected and I guess all of the infectious bacteria did not get removed. It caused a cyst to form and needed to be resolved. Professional, personable and thorough, he is a fantastic primary care physician. Unlike other providers, he is warm and caring, spends time explaining medical issues and promptly follows up with a report and analysis of test results. His office is right in Sonoma with plenty of parking, and It's easy to schedule an appointment. This is what medicine should be. I do not recommend this Dr. You cannot be your own advocate. Not only does he talk rudely to you (very arrogant),but he will discuss ALL of your private information in front of other clients (it's how his office is set up). Why even speak in a medical room if THAT is going to happen. If you question why all the blood work (nearly every three months), he will not explain and just have his staff (his wife) call you do inform you that this Dr. has cut you from the practice. Blood work every three months to tell me I need to take vitamins which, by the way, he sells. And will sell you expired vitamins but tell you they are okay to take. Also, if you have any physical concerns he will not look at it directly. Has ZERO interest. He will simply suggest a local whatever Dr. No referral. You are given a business card to call said other Dr. (This was a simple foot issue which did not require said other Dr. - specialist - but ended up having to WAIT over a month to get into other Dr. - specialist who told me I could have had Dr. Lozanov deal with it).
