We chose DJ Tyler and couldn't have been happier with our choice. He was everything we wanted from a DJ. All it took was one initial planning call, and a couple updates to a shared google doc, and he executed everything to perfection. We got married in Irvine last year and had VOX DJs for the night. To our surprise, weeks before the wedding, the DJ that we booked thru VOX had to cancel for personal reasons. VOX DJs were very professional about the situation and booked us another DJ (Marcus) and a separate Vietnamese speaking MC (Khanh, she is not directly associated with VOX). Both were more than we could ask for. Marcus had the crowd singing and dancing all night. For weeks we got compliments on the playlist we had at the wedding. Would 100% recommend VOX but 1000% recommend Marcus. We also planned for the wedding from another state and Marcus was readily available to talk over the phone and was prompt at email responses. read more

Amazing experience from the start to finish. After calling several places, we decided to ask Vox to provide both DJ and photo booth services for my son's 13th Birthday party. Our main contact was Ricky and was knowledgeable, laid back, professional, and super cool. We booked VOX for our April wedding and we were so glad we did! Our DJ was Ace Conlon and he was amazing. We were referred to Vox by some friends who had their wedding DJ'd by Vox in November of 2017; the whole process was so efficient and easy. The first inquiry we sent was responded to in a matter of hours, the sample DJ sets/portfolio's were great so we could make an informed decision. My fiancée hand picked DJ Ruby Rojas because he liked her taste in old school hip hop and we were not disappointed! They assigned us a coordinator to assist with any needs, but after our face to face meeting with Ruby, we went over our timeline and song list. We loved that Vox had tons of Spotify genre playlists to use, we picked so many great songs we would have never thought of. For day of, Ruby arrived early, she was self sufficient in setting up, and even helped me get my dress on when my mom got distracted and left me hanging lol. We had a smaller reception, less than 100 guests, and most were family elders that are not the dancing type, but it didn't matter, the music was SO good and the vibe/lighting was GREAT. My husband and I were out there, and all of our friends stayed on the dancefloor for most of the sets. Since our wedding was pretty simple and straightforward, not a lot of DJ speaking was necessary (no bouquet toss etc), and Ruby was great to go to my coordinator for any timing/questions. Everything wrapped up smoothly and we were all outta there in like minutes, music turned off at 5pm and I was walked out the door no later than 5:30pm. We did a meeting once prior to our wedding to work out the kinks and make sure we communicated about what we wanted. Wedding day he came early and had everything set up for our ceremony and reception. He played all our request music and was able to handle the our families when they came to request songs. I literally had nothing to worry about. Booking and working the contract came very easily. They had the best possible value/offer I think, of any of the DJs we contacted. Any questions we had were graciously answered, and they were always quick to respond. The process was very simple too, review the DJ pages and look at whose style you like . Meanwhile, they emailed us a few DJs they though we would like based on a conversation we had. I knew it was meant to be when they sent me the contacts for the exact 2 DJS that I had originally chosen myself! DJ Trego was heaven sent. The second we spoke to him, we both fell in love... He's dynamic, energetic, fun and you could tell he would work the crowd the entire night. We had one meeting with him and he pretty much thought of everything, really important things I would never have remembered. For someone planning their own weddings (I had 2 separate ceremonies), this was of the utmost importance, that I didn't have to keep following up on vendors. On the day of the wedding, DJ Trego was everything we expected and more. Professional, prompt, prepared! He was the only vendor that came to greet everyone in the wedding party room and it felt like a friend walked in. I still get guests requesting his information , months and months later. We got the most compliments over anything else on our choice of DJ (no joke). Guests stated that he "played a little bit of everything, but it was always something fun." Vox Djs has been nothing but good to us through our whole wedding process. Over a year out, we booked a DJ in the cheapest tier due to a tight budget. A few months before the wedding we were informed that our DJ had moved back to his home state. VOX offered us a DJ from the next tier up (I can't remember the names of the tiers-sorry!) to make up for the 'loss'. Honestly I couldn't be happier with the outcome. We got Conner Frawley as our DJ, and he was absolutely amazing! Interactive with guests, great with kids, and an overall great guy! We had a Day of Coordinator but he also stepped up to help keep things on schedule and flowing well. He took any and all requests from guests during our free dance, including an Nsync request from our dorky friend that likes to do the Bye Bye Bye dance, lol. The only thing that didn't go according to plan, was that he played the regular version of the song I walked down the aisle to, instead of instrumental. And I didn't even realize it until after the wedding was over and I was watching Facebook videos of the ceremony. We spoke with him a couple months before our wedding (that's just how VOX does it) but I wish we could have done a refresher, maybe the week of the wedding. But hey - If such a small detail was the the only thing that went wrong, I call that an ABSOLUTE win! We had DJ Ralph and he was, in a word, amazing. He was professional, funny, and did a seamless job despite having to work 3 different setups. But, I've been trying to take some time out of my busy work schedule to write a review for our DJ Adrian because I wanted to let everyone know how much LOVED him. And the VOX DJs team was professional and attentive, which made the whole wedding planning process that much easier for me. I researched on several DJ groups before making a decision. The reason that made VOX DJs stand out was how fast Rob responded to our emails. He was always instantly responding to our questions. Their website was user-friendly and made it very easy for us to choose our DJ. I understand VOX DJs is a multi-staff team and there are different roles for different stages, but we never had any problem because the transition process was seamless. Our impression of Adrian was he was polite and personable. During the wedding he was professional and quick-thinking. We wanted a fun wedding and Adrian took note of that. He handled it perfectly of when to speak to entertain and when to let everyone enjoy the moment. Several months before the wedding, the team sent us a survey to inquire about our favorite songs/genre, timeline, special requests, and etc. Of course, things never go exactly as planned at a wedding. There were a lot of unexpected changes as the night went on, but Adrian worked diligently with my wedding planner trying to carry out everything on our wishlist as smooth as possible. The best part of Adrian's work was he was constantly adjusting the song list based on the guests' requests and the crowd's reaction, while making sure all of our requests were played. I hired Vox DJ's for my wedding this past Sunday and we chose Christian Manzo a.k.a. DJ Manzo in the San Diego area. He was so great to work with and he killed it with our DJ set a the reception. I've been receiving compliments on the music for the past 2 days since the wedding and he really helped make our day extra special. He took requests and actually played them, he added songs that I hadn't even thought of that kept the guests dancing, and he was so great as an MC and he kept guests informed of where to go. I've been to weddings where guests have no idea what's going on because of a bad MC but Christian was a pro. I'd highly suggest hiring him as your DJ. He's a great guy and really cared about making the day as fun as it was. The dance floor was NEVER empty. Also our Photobooth we got from the company was fantastic. I hate to be so late because Diego was really, truly so amazing and I am just now getting around to a review. I am sorry!!! Diego was our DJ for our wedding in June, and he was active in helping us to decide our playlist and the type of music we wanted in advance so on the day and in the week prior we were very relaxed. He was very good at taking our suggestions when we had them and was able to give us his opinions on the matter when we asked for it. His overall song selection was incredible throughout the night and there wasn't a moment when dancing was not happening. The only complaint was from people's feet the next day. As far as being an MC, Diego knew what to say and how to get people into the mood to dance after what was a very large dinner. He was able to capture the crowd and he was able to make our wedding very memorable. 10/10 would go with Diego again, and if he isn't available, I would go with Vox again in a heartbeat. read more

Overall, I had a good, but not flawless experience with VOX. I had to remove one star because our original DJ (who we booked 10 months in advance) called a month before our wedding to ask for the night off to go to a concert. I recently used Vox DJ's for my wedding and they absolutely killed it. I had the pleasure of working with DJ Makai Gooden and he did not disappoint. He was more than a DJ, he provided MC services for making announcements for ushering guests from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner service, and then eventually to the dance floor. He was super helpful to those of our guests who may be rhythm challenged and helped them with some of the dances. He was in constant communication with us before and during the event by letting us know it was cake cutting time or anything else that was on the itinerary. And as a person he is super warm, friendly, and put everyone at ease. To say he went above and beyond is an understatement.
