We had DJ Ralph and he was, in a word, amazing. He was professional, funny, and did a seamless job despite having to work 3 different setups. Hands down, best DJ company I have ever used for my events. From the minute we spoke, KC was so personable and really understood the vibe I was going for. This particular event was 300+ young girls celebrating an achievement and DJ KC & DJ Daniel were incredible with the girls. They were up and dancing for almost 3 straight hours. They were encouraged to sing into the mic, dance on the DJ stage and learned new dances. The DJ's were extremely interactive and almost never stayed behind the turn tables, but were in the crowd singing and dancing with the girls. My husband and I hires Rigel Garman from Vox for our December wedding at Casino San Clemente and we can't speak highly enough about Rigel. He was so helpful during the planning process and the day of the wedding he really delivered. My little brother played my processional song on the keyboard and Rigel assisted with the set up/ facilitation of all of that: Rigel really delivered during the reception when he not only played hit after hit (pulling from a playlist we shared) during dinner but then on the dance floor. All of our guests young and old were raving about the music and danced most of the night. Rigel was great at knowing what songs to play next to keep the momentum going. We can't thank him enough. I recently used Vox DJ's for my wedding and they absolutely killed it. I had the pleasure of working with DJ Makai Gooden and he did not disappoint. He was more than a DJ, he provided MC services for making announcements for ushering guests from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner service, and then eventually to the dance floor. He was super helpful to those of our guests who may be rhythm challenged and helped them with some of the dances. He was in constant communication with us before and during the event by letting us know it was cake cutting time or anything else that was on the itinerary. And as a person he is super warm, friendly, and put everyone at ease. To say he went above and beyond is an understatement. We used Jarom with Vox for our big day this past June and we cannot say enough amazing things about him!!! First of all working with Vox was awesome and so easy! They really know what they are doing and their pricing is very reasonable. We got to watch videos of all of the DJ's to decide who really fit with our own personalities. As soon as we watched Jarom's video we knew he was our DJ! Jarom was seriously just amazing! He has such a fun personality and we clicked with him right off the bat! I have to start this review by saying that VOX DJs are awesome! I work for a non profit called Irvine Public Schools Foundation and we were so lucky to have these guys at our STEAM Carnival at The Market Place shopping center in Irvine. This fundraising event had so much energy because of these guys! Unfortunately we had rain but the DJ kept on playing. He was very involved with the crowd and had kids dancing all the time. He also did a great job introducing stage acts and speakers. We also loved the photo booth! There were plenty of props to choose from and the pictures came out clearly and quickly. Marc Minero DJ'd our wedding on the rooftop of La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites. We had the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in the same location and Marc handled the music for all 3 events. It was great working with him. Planning the event was super easy and Marc made himself available any time we needed to coordinate on anything. When the dance floor opened, Marc did a great job playing songs we had selected as will as his own choices based on our style. We didn't have a huge group, about 60 people total, but the dance floor was going off all night. My brother-in-law is in a band so we requested one of their songs to be played. Marc played the song and even gave my brother-in-law the microphone to sing along. It was just one of the many examples on how Marc was able to keep things fun, lively and interactive. If you're looking for someone that can read the crowd and get everyone, even the shy people, to get on the dance floor and have fun Marc is the DJ for you. We decided to hire a DJ as a surprise for my daughter's 17th birthday party, and turned to Yelp for recommendations. Ended up requesting DJ HUDD based on his bio and video and music preferences. He looked at my daughter's Spotify playlist ahead of time to see what kind of music she liked. I only saw a little of his work because we sat outside to give the kids some freedom. But just by the sound (and the few times I peeked in) I could tell they were having a great time. DJ HUDD took requests from the kids as well, and she said he even danced with them. Hired VOX for our March 19' wedding and couldn't be happier. We selected Brian Hake as our DJ after combing through 20+ DJs and realized he was the best out of all of them. He was a great MC, was courteous, had a calm demeanor, was timely, upbeat and professional. He listened to our likes, customized our party based on our comments (we wanted an EDM reception) and executed what we wanted. Working with VOX was overall a good experience. All their staff (Eric) were extremely responsive and friendly. We hired their photo booth services, uplighting, and sound system and received a discount for bundling all the packages. We loved working with their photo booth department. They were able to customize our strip quickly after three drafts. The only two things I would say could have been better was that they forgot to bring their DJ table (I emailed them prior to remember to bring one) and that I had to request for them email the remaining photo booth files that didn't upload onto their flash drive. Really! This is as good as it gets with DJ Gabriel Zamora! We decided to hire Gabriel from a video that he has posted about who he is and why he does DJ. I found him very authentic and passionate about DJ events they being part of such an important moment in someone's life. From the start he was always very professional. We connected through FaceTime twice before our wedding. He made sure that the evening would go as we requested on our calls and in the order that we wanted. We hired 2 dance instructors to teach our guests certain dance steps to get them ready for the reception and Gabriel was able to working this out and play the music the instructors requested so everything went very smoothly and enjoyable. We made a playlist of songs that we like and also songs from our guests and Gabriel made sure that the requested songs were played. Everyone gave us compliments about how much they enjoy the music during the reception and how enthusiastic and energetic Gabriel was with the guests. He even brought a Limbo Stick to our event and everybody participated and had so much fun. You will not go wrong with hiring Gabriel in whichever event you need a DJ. He was fabulous in every way. A big shout out to HENRY JAMES who was an awesome DJ for my son's 18th birthday party. I rented a gallery space and wanted a really cool vibe for his ABBA themed dance party (!). Robert Corrall - maybe the owner - was very easy to work with and nice and responsive and chill because I've never done anything beyond a dance party in my living room. I selected my DJ from the website which has an easy format from about 30 DJs to choose from with little profiles about themselves. Henry James was an easy pick because he had a mix tape on his profile which was perfect for my style. He was also really laid back and seemed to enjoy watching a bunch of 18 year old kids get crazy dancing to ABBA all night with some Cardi B thrown in the mix.
