A broth with meat instead of plov (((
Mariia S.

Response to the nonsense you sent me -- are you serious? I placed the order through Uber -- order number #8EB05. And after your claim that you sent me the wrong order, I will be submitting a complaint to Uber about you. I wanted to leave a review about the order I placed the day before yesterday. I finally found the time -- and I want everyone to know. I ordered plov, manti, and a slice of Napoleon cake. But what I received was: * a broth with meat instead of plov, * a Snickers-style cake instead of Napoleon, and * old manti that started to smell rotten the next day. This was my worst ordering experience. Absolutely terrible. Avoid this place at all costs.

When I was listing ingredients, I didn't think crispy flatbread was "it" but also didn't identify it as potatoes. Whatever was in the bottom of this bowl with everything else was amazing.

Kurutob

My favorite food truck in the area! I get something new every time and it never disappoints. HIGHLY recommend the kurutob. The potatoes and lamb are so good and the tomatoes are fresh and full of flavor. Enough for 3 meals

Cold Beef shawarma with cold flatbread.

Beef shawarma tastes good but is it supposed to be eaten cold? The flatbread was also cold although it felt fresh. I walked one minute to my house. This has to have been below room temperature when it was served. Honestly dissapointed compared to other shawarma I have tried just for the temperature and its price. I'll eat my words if someone confirms this is supposed to be eaten as cold as a potato salad.

Gusht Birian

Best food truck in LA! The service is top notch and treats you with care. Like a home cooked meal. Bread and tea complimentary if you eat outside! Can't go wrong.

Chicken Shawarma
Adi H.

The chicken shawarma is the best one I've ever had!!!!! Great price for how large it is! Soooo good.

So bummed it's closed down now their food was delicious and always consistent...great pricesread more

I keep coming back to Anwar's Kitchen for one simple reason: the food is consistently good. Not…read more"pretty good for takeout," not "good on a lucky day," just genuinely solid every single time. This time, I went with the Anwar Style Chicken Shawarma to try something new. The portion size alone is impressive. The container is packed and feels substantial the moment you pick it up. The base is a bed of fries, and these are not just filler. They are thick, well seasoned, and sturdy enough to handle all the toppings without turning into a soggy mess. On top of the fries is a generous amount of chicken. The chicken tastes freshly cooked, with that warm, savory flavor you expect from good shawarma, never dry and never overly salty. There are pita chips mixed in, which add a great crunch and texture against the fries and chicken. Multiple sauces are drizzled throughout the dish. I chose a side of their spicy sauce. The creamy white sauce balances things out, while the orange sauce brings a mild heat and a little extra depth. None of the sauces overpower the dish, they work together to coat everything evenly and keep every bite flavorful. Diced tomatoes and corn adds a touch of sweetness that surprisingly works really well here. A sprinkle of herbs throughout helps brighten everything up and keeps the dish from feeling too heavy, even though it is definitely filling. This is comfort food done right. It is messy in the best way, packed with flavor, at least to me it was. If you are looking for something hearty, satisfying, and consistently well made, I will always recommend Anwar's Kitchen. Anwar's Kitchen delivers quality food, and I will keep ordering from them.

Our group tried 3 spreads: the Hummus Duck 'Nduja ($19), Baba Ghanoush ($19), and Liver Pate. The baba ghanoush was my fave - it had a nice smoky flavor, and the pomegranates were a unique addition. The duck hummus was pretty tasty and flavorful, but was on the salty side. The pita bread that came with the hummus was fresh and warm! The liver pate personally wasn't my fave, but we got it since our friends loved it. For appetizers, we got the roasted cauliflower ($24), trout crudo ($32), octopus ($36), sweet potato flatbread ($26), and the oyster mushrooms ($29). My faves were the trout crudo and oyster mushrooms. The oyster mushrooms were grilled nicely and are best eaten hot! The octopus was tender, and cauliflower had a good flavor. The sweet potato flatbread was interesting, with a sweet and savory profile. For entrees, we got the Grilled Dorade ($54) and the Whole Lamb Rack ($92), both of which were stellar. The fish had a unique and strong flavor and was so tender. The lamb was also perfectly tender and had a mild gamey flavor. Overall enjoyable meal, but on the pricey side.

We ordered Combo A and the short rib tomahawk. The stand out is definitely the short rib tomahawk. I was scared we ordered too much, but I'm so glad my friends got it! Beef was tender, juicy, and seasoned well. The banchan, tofu soup, salads were all solid. It was also nice having the servers cook, so just sit back, relax, and enjoy. Overall--good service, excellent food, and good ambiance. Recommend if you're a kbbq lover and I will be back!

Service was AMAZING and for this reason alone I would absolutely return. They made us feel very welcomed especially given our food restrictions (I have some allergies while another person in our party is vegan), which was very impressive. All the staff there were friendly and helpful. We had tons of questions about booking a large reservation in the future which they were so sweet about answering. Ambiance was very chill! Lots of seating options, wasn't busy for a late lunch, and everything seems very organized too. This place honestly seems great for both small parties and bigger parties of people. Last but not least, the food! We didn't get to try the kbbq this time but I love that there are tons of options on the menu. We got several dishes like kimchi fried rice (my friend's), cold noodle, beef brisket hot soup, garlic fries. Everyone was in agreement that it was all delicious. Definitely coming back for the kbbq next time! PARKING is important to mention too. If you can find free street parking consider yourself lucky! There is a garage with the entrance next to it that says "PARKING" which they had us pay $20 with cash or Venmo. Parking guy said we had 2 hours to return with a receipt from the restaurant so they'd give us $10 cash back (essentially making parking $10 or $20 if you go over the limit). Inside the restaurant it does say $5 parking on the wall which we asked about but this only applies on Mondays to Fridays, and we came on a Saturday. I'll add a photo of this. I did consider removing a star for the whole parking situation but I'll keep it for now. Other than the parking being a pain (as is typical for the area), we loved it here.

There were several employees that saw us just standing there, but we still waited there for 5 mins before someone told the girl from outside to take us to our table. We were finally seated. Then guy who told the girl to seat us was just standing around d chit chatting with another employees for about 15 minutes before he even came to our table. He never even introduce himself. He just took our order. Another 20 mins came by before our food was served. OUR FOOD WAS ROOM TEMPERATURE. Short Rib was ok. The macaroni was stale and OLD! It was dry and not fresh! We asked for extra BBQ sauce and that didn't arrive for another 15 mins. We had to wave down another employee to try to get the sauce to us. I wouldn't recommend this place! Horrible service. Didn't even come around to see if we needed anything or if everything was good or not. We came here around 1:30pm on 3/16. The restroom was also out of paper towels and soap from the soda dispenser. Poor quality food! Glad I tried it, so I know to not come back again!

He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and that I felt welcomed and appreciated as a customer. Great customer service is hard to come by these days, but Ghazi definitely sets the standard! Employees like him are what turn first-time customers into loyal, returning customers. This restaurant has been pretty much empty since it opened, but I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and finally try it. Unfortunately, the food was nowhere near authentic Indian food. I ordered the tikka masala and palak paneer. Both dishes were incredibly bland and tasted like they were missing a ton of spices and seasoning. I'd honestly give the food a 3/10. Then I ordered a mango lassi, and somehow they managed to mess that up too. It was terrible. I don't understand how you mess up a mango lassi, but they put whipped cream and some kind of red berry sauce on top, which made absolutely no sense. 0/10. Another thing that really bothered me was the older gentleman hosting. He was coughing uncontrollably throughout my visit and repeatedly wasn't covering his mouth. Given that he was working in a restaurant and interacting with customers, I found that extremely unpleasant and honestly pretty disgusting. My total was $90 for two small plates and a yogurt-based mango drink. If you actually want authentic, flavorful Indian food, go up the street to Badmaash. You can spend around $130 there and get significantly more food, way more flavor, and dishes that are actually delicious and worth the money.
