    Order #9: Wet Burrito Combo
    Ronald C.

Ordered the combo wet burrito. Wet burrito was just the right texture. You're given the option to choose the meat that you want with the burrito. Ex. Carne asada, al pastor, etc. They're also very generous with the amount of sauce that is dressed onto the burrito. In addition to other items, they have a nice selection of beverages to choose from: Jarrito Drink, Jamaica, Tamarindo, Watermelon Juice, and Horchata. I ordered the watermelon juice and it was by far the most refreshing and authentic watermelon juice I've ever had. Highly recommend ordering the large cup size regardless of which of the following drinks mentioned you decide to order.

This is one of my favorite hole in the wall spots in LA for good old fashioned Mexican food. The burrito is packed full and comes "wet" with delicious sauce! It's absolutely one of my "go-to's" near home. Staff is super nice and there are a plethora of options on their extensive menu, but the burrito just happens to be my personal favorite. Worth every bite!

this plant obviously have some sort of disease because they're not healthy. There's probably where the box come from.

Ordered Al pastor tacos but I'm not certain this isn't chicken
    Char J.

I'm literally not drunk enough to enjoy these $14 tacos I got. Al pastor is pork, right? My tacos taste like chicken. And it's drenched in a barely seasoned red sauce. Highly disappointed you're better off going to a street corner taco stand if you want good late night tacos.

One of my go to food spots when I'm in LA. The food taste very authentic and hits the spot every time. This is a small diner but the perfect place for food with friends. This time I ordered chicken and Al pastor tacos. Also not featured is an order of tamales. Will always pull up here when I'm in town.

EMERGENCY HOSPITAL DUE TO LOS TACOS NEGLIGENCE AND INCOMPETENT ATTITUDE
    Zachary B.

IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM FOR 12 HOURS!!!! I have been an extremely loyal customer for over a year. My girlfriend and I both have severe dairy allergies. The manager of this ungrateful establishment served me a burrito with cheese in it after I informed him not once, but twice of my allergy. I showed him strings of cheese and he told me it was an onion. I took my allergy medicine in my car after I showed symptoms of anaphylactic shock and asked for a refund because I needed to go to the emergency room and he told me "you can order an al pastor burrito and tell me it has cheese but it's pretty much the same as telling me it has chicken" then told me to pay for a new burrito. I was in the emergency because of anaphylactic shock for 12 hours and will be taking legal action. He has an ungrateful attitude as well as treating customers concerns as if they are nothing and I 10/10 do NOT recommend ever going to this place if you have allergies or ANY sense of common decency. STAY AWAY there are many other Mexican restaurants nearby.

Everything came out to about $26 which is super reasonable! Service on a later end of the night was great! Super friendly and quick service. No indoor dining was available since they were closing in 15 mins. Food was ready in less than 10 mins. Salsa is free which both were delicious and had great flavor. Overall the food was delicious! It hit the spot. Filled with meat and the tortillas were a hit on their own. I would definitely go back again and try the other items that they had to offer.

We've been to the downtown location before and the menu was a little different from what I remember. Hard to find parking sometimes. Only counter seating inside with about six tables outside. Wanted to snack on chips while we waited and there are only two sizes: small which is a bag you would put a sandwich and chips in like when you were a kid taking lunch to school, and a large which was a big bag that you would buy like a part size Doritos with the labels and all. Note to the non-spicy fam: the green salsa is mild with a little heat but the red is definitely spicy so watch out. They don't have pico de gallo. We had an asada burrito which was surprisingly packed and even had guacamole in it. Appropriately sized for lunch so not some monstrosity but it's good and flavorful. We also got an asada quesadilla. It's ok but the cheese is just melted and everything was kind of "wet" still and hard to eat because it just falls apart. Also had an asada taco. Yeah it's good but can't really describe if it was much better than a taco truck. No fountain drinks but got a Jamaica agua Fresca and really felt it was too sweet. Probably just go with a Mexican coke or canned soda next time. Sonoratown is good and worth a trip back as well. They won't compete against taco trucks but sometimes it's nice to just sit down and relax with good food.

The ambiance alone makes the experience feel special. Also... have you ever seen a Spanish hibachi-style restaurant before? No? Me either! Such a unique concept! Now let's talk food. I'm a dessert-first kind of girl, and although I saved it for last, the Tres Leches completely stole the show. You genuinely cannot get one like this anywhere else. It was soft, ultra-moist, and full of coconut goodness. I would absolutely come back just for that dessert alone. We also ordered the Huevos con Bistec, Carnitas Hash, and Ceviche Campechano. The steak in the Huevos con Bistec was cooked perfectly -- tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The crispy bite-sized potatoes paired with it were perfection. I also appreciated that they accommodated my request for egg whites. Everything we tried was delicious, and my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his meal too. Did I mention they do bottomless mimosas eyyyy! My boyfriend's favorite part of any brunch. Shoutout to our server, Ashley, for taking care of us. She was very patient, attentive, and kind. So made a reservation and headed over for dinner. The restaurant is a good size with seating in the front and back along with around the bar. We started with cocktails, the Pasion y Plata and the Mango Pelar. The Pasion y Plata is basically a passion fruit margarita with real passion fruit puree. Pretty tasty. The Mango Pelar was another tequila based cocktail with orange and mango flavors. Very refreshing. For food, we started with the oysters and the Taquitos de Camarón. The oysters were very small, be warned. I didn't know if they are always this small or it was just this batch or what species of oyster they were, but here we were. They were ok overall, really didn't stand out. The Taquitos de Camarón, on the other hand, were very tasty. They come with marinated Mexican shrimp, blue corn tortillas, mango-habanero aalsa and morita aioli. They weren't very spicy but had good flavor, great amount of shrimp meat and the blue tortillas hit. Definitely would get again. We also got a side Volcano taco to try. It is a surf and turf taco with steak and shrimp, plenty of cheese, habanero pickled red onions, serrano peppers and more, served in a flour tortilla with a blue corn tortilla on the outside. Just a great bite For entrees we did the quesadilla plate and the carne asada. The quesadilla plate comes with two open face quesadillas with different types of cheese. It's actually a fun play on the quesadilla, probably better adding some protein to them, but still tasty. The carne asada was delicious, cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful. Overall, very nice restaurant with plenty of options for food and drinks and most of the items worked. Would definitely recommend the volcano taco and the Taquitos de Camarón. Skip the oysters.
