Adorable restaurant and bar that had an amazing outdoor area! We went on $5 mimosa and Bloody Mary…read moreday - those Bloody Marys are delicious and you can get them spicy or non spicy. Their menu had totchos (tater tot nachos) which were loaded to the brim, hot dogs and burgers. I got the burger with chili and slaw and highly recommend it. The ladies were sweet at Foothills Grange. It's an order at the counter type of place. They gave us lots of beer and cider samples to taste before we decided on drinks.

That said, the food itself landed a bit in the middle for me. I ordered the smashburger Carolina-style (asked for no raw onions) and unfortunately it still came with raw onions. My bigger gripe was the burger itself... the patty was noticeably smaller than the bun, which feels like a bit of a crime when it comes to smashburgers. Flavor-wise it was fine, just nothing that really stood out. I genuinely wanted to love this place because everything else about it is great. I did like Foothills Grange overall, but I'd probably recommend it more as a spot to grab a drink and hang out rather than a destination specifically for the food.

Within that context, however, the staff distinguished themselves as welcoming and efficient, processing orders promptly and with a friendliness that set a positive tone for the experience. Ambiance: Abbiocco is located adjacent to the Peri Social House in Black Mountain, North Carolina, an arrangement that proves to be a genuine asset. Guests may order beverages from the social house and enjoy their meal in a pleasantly secluded outdoor patio area -- an intimate and well-conceived setting that enhances the overall dining experience considerably. Food: The standout of the visit was undoubtedly the pizza, which represents some of the most authentic Neapolitan-style preparation to be found in Western North Carolina. The kitchen demonstrates a clear command of the fundamentals: quality ingredients, a well-developed crust, and the disciplined use of a wood-fired oven operating at the temperatures necessary to achieve a proper Neapolitan result. Each of these elements contributes meaningfully to a final product that is difficult to fault. Overall: Pizza preference is, of course, a matter of personal taste -- but for those who favor the Neapolitan tradition, Abbiocco is likely to impress. It is a worthy destination for anyone in the region seeking a pizza experience grounded in quality ingredients and genuine technique.

The guy running the booth was so friendly and helpful, he made the whole pickup feel easy. I love the RAD market its family friendly is very welcoming. This pizza is topped with White Squirrel Kitchens fromage blanc, wilted local greens, and mushrooms from Catawba Mushroom Company. Three local makers on one pie, which I love. The artisan crust, with the crispy edges, makes this the kind of pizza you want to eat slowly and savor. I drizzled balsamic on top and it went somewhere divine. The fromage blanc and mushrooms are already doing the work, but that little tangy hit pulled the whole thing together. If you keep a freezer pizza on hand for tired nights, make it this one. It actually tastes like a luxury high-end dinner you made an effort on, versus your typical frozen pizza. It's elevated.
