Jambalaya

Voodoo kitchen food truck offer the Cajun Cuisine. I have a chance to try them when the generation food court event host an Orlando food truck in Tampa. This food are modernize with the menu in LED screen. The even indicate if you cannot see the menu, you probably have the sunglasses on. They serve Creole style cuisine such as crawfish étouffée, fried shrimp popboy, gumbo, and jambalaya. I have one of the jambalaya and is $9. The jambalaya is with pull pork and chicken with sausage. The rice is well cook. I have better jambalaya with a bit spicy. This jambalaya is a bit Tone down. May be they can put some voodoo sauce to make me hook. Overall from the order to deliver is quick. I got my food in 5 minutes. If I try again, I would go for the shrimp popboy or crawfish étouffée.

Delicious food! They came to my job on a day we have food trucks and definitely a great and filling lunch. I got the southern fried chicken sandwich.

My sister and I went to a Food Truck Bazaar in October and this place was one of the featured venues. We had their Jambalaya and it was amazing! Very flavorful with the perfect amount of spicy. We couldn't stop raving about to our family! Can't wait to have another bowl and try some more of their dishes. :)

Nicely portioned.

Got to try this at Celebration Food Truck Friday. I had the Crawfish Etouffee and my wife had the Red Beans & Rice with Andouille Sausage. Both were very tasty and good solid portions. We look forward to them coming back. Such a good selection on the menu it was hard to choose. Even full I wanted to get more but restrained myself. Thanks Voodoo Kitchen, you were the best truck there!

Shrimp Po Boy, can't wait to try the roast beef!!!

It's an elevated Cajun experience, starting with the debris spring rolls, pot roast and manchego cheese fried to crisp perfection in an egg roll with a delicious beef gravy for dipping. Their hurricane is strong and authentic. Jazz music flows through the restaurant and everywhere you look has color, glitz and glam! You haven't had shrimp and grits til you've had them as grit cakes, get the shrimp and grit cake: Monica style, if you don't like spice, maybe don't get it but it's delicious otherwise. The combination of the crunchy fried exterior and the creamy grits inside is such a yummy experience. Lastly, you have to get beignets and an espresso martini. As a beignet obsessed person, it pains me to say that their bread pudding is the superior dessert. I'm not a HUGE fan of the croissant flaky style of beignet that's become the norm for most places, but that's what they have here. I'd much prefer the classic beignet with the pocket of air in the middle. But otherwise they're still amazing and the espresso martini is delicious. Sarah B was an efficient and friendly waitress! If you need a NOLA fix, this is the place to go! Laissez les bon temps rouler!

There is a doorman to open the door for you as you enter and exit, the hostess, the servers...3 different people stopped by our table to ask how everything was, so from a customer service standpoint they're on it! The ambiance is nice, love all the NoLa decor. As for the food, my appetizer ended up coming out after my entree so they took it off the check which was nice of them. I thought the food was subpar which was underwhelming for me because I absolutely LOVE traveling to New Orleans just to eat. My partner said her food was on the salty side, and my pasta was just ok. I honestly don't think I will return but happy I finally got to try it.
