Love this Vons! They always have everything I need, the location is just right and the staff is always super friendly. Prices are decent and the products are of high quality. The weekly specials are also great and the atmosphere and decor are very pleasing. Not your typical super bright, blinding, fluorescent lighting everywhere, warehouse-style store. I was very hungry as I was driving by this store. So I decided to stop by and pick up a quick warm snack that is also semi-healthy at least... I was hoping for something other than packaged foods. So I ended up buying some supposedly "warm and fresh potato wedges" from their deli section to eat in the car. Let me tell ya! The potato wedges were old, and tasted just like cardboard... I don't know if they were re-heated in the microwave from the day before, or if they were made in very old oil or what... But it was not good at alll; you might as well eat wood! If you want fresh tasty delicious deli on the go, this may not be the place! Aside from this, the store seems to be organized, clean, well-lit, and the staff are friendly; except I wasn't looking for friends. Some half-decent potato wedges would have been enough! read more

I love this particular Vons location. The layout is super weird for a grocery store I feel like, but it had every product I need on a regular basis. The thing that stands out to me about this one is I've been to all the other Vons in town and this one has by far had the best customer service...every single time! Everyone is so nice! The sales floor people are easier to track down and ask questions. The cashiers are always really kind and seem genuine. I really like this location. read more

I love this VONS!! Not only is the location great,but the cashier's, stock associates, bagger's & most of the management team are amazing. I go to this location daily & the cashiers are always so welcoming & friendly to my family. I have had to go back a few times due to over pricing,but the mangers on duty have always fixed any situation I have ever had. They are always fully stocked with all of my favorite Vegan & Gluten free items I love to cook. Stop into their Starbucks grab a yummy drink before shopping I know I always do:) read more

This Von's is pretty nice...sexy almost. The lighting is kinda chill and it has a loungey vibe. If I were the type to try to pick up cougars, I would probably be staking out this place. The meat counter(aka butcher shop) is pretty weak sauce. The produce section is pretty nice, but like most of the big grocery stores, not the freshest. Which is odd because it is in Bakersfield...I am sure the produce gets shipped to San Pedro to sit on a dock for few days before it is properly wilted and bruised before it is shipped to the distribution center where it sits for a couple more days before it finally gets trucked back to Bakersfield. Yeaaa corporate efficiency!! There is also a Starbuck's kiosk in the store I think. read more

Around 8:20 PM March 28, 2022 me and my fiancé went to the store to grab a few groceries why I was shopping I went to the Starbucks section just to glance at their new little cups but I also noticed that this lady's watching me in my fiancé so I decided just to go ahead and went to the line to go coming to find out the same lady that was watching me was the cashier I was in line and I had the black basket on the belt but I wasn't ready Cu I was cause to you to still look at things and she told me to take it down and put my groceries on the thing so I decided I didn't wanna shop there anymore she was rude unprofessional so I put my groceries right there by the cooler why me and my fiancé was walking out she said where is your basket and I stopped and I looked at her like what do you mean where is my basket why are you asking me that it's because I'm black that's why she asked me she racial profile me and my fiancé and asking me where is my basket I've never experienced this ever in my life and I will not one no one of color to spare this experience this are also ask or say where is your supervisor she came at me I'm the supervisor and show me her badge instead of just writing her name down a piece of paper then she also had another customer say something to me and then she started a lot of a lot of drama I wish this upon no one this was the worst because I ever had in my life I never understood what was racial profiling me until today you guys need to get Tracy out of there she's supposed to be a supervisor representing you guys is not acceptable at all read more

This is a good store, a busy store in a very busy shopping center. I usually come for the "$5 Friday' items. They almost always have some deli meat and or cheese, some flowers, many times paper products. There is also a bakery product discounted as much as 50% This is a store that opens up more check out stands when busy, that is nice. The volume of customers keeps product turned around and fresh. People are nice products are good and on Fridays the prices are good. read more

A decent enough Safeway, er, Vons, location. Nothing extraordinary, but functional. Failed to find any chilled 1 liter soda pops anywhere, but not being the biggest footprint of a store, I could almost forgive it... if not for the 30-40 foot showing of chilled beers of all varieties, and another 10-foot case of juices. read more

I love coming to this vons, the employees are friendly, the atmosphere is great, and they have a great selection of products. Only drawback is, just like any other Vons, the place can be expensive if you don't have a club card, but getting one is easy and saves you an incredible amount of money! read more

Specifically a review of their delivery and drop off service (Bakersfield) which in a word, is HORRIBLE. The drivers are incredibly rude and inconsiderate and good luck getting your delivery on time. Do not recommend. read more

Been shopping here for a couple years now and I am very happy with the service and selection. Would give 5 stars but they are a bit pricey. Any time I have needed to return something, which hasn't been that often, they have refunded my money no problem. When I needed help finding something, they have always been helpful. The kale power food salad is excellent btw. read more

This is my by far the best grocery store in the area. They carry so many quality products you cannot find other places. Uncured lunch meat, bacon, and hot dogs. All sorts of organic produce, dry goods,meats,and cheeses. Their bakery put outs delicious breads and pastries that they manage to keep really fresh. One quam, craft beer selection is just ok, not always the freshest. read more

Joe the cashier was very rude. There was a long line and we saw that the next registrar had his light on. The cashier had no one in his line while every one else had a line. My wife asked him if he was open and he smarted back "well the lights on" you think since he seen lines and no one is at his registrar he would let customers know he can help. read more

A well stocked and maintained store. The store is very neat and orderly and they have a beautiful floral area.

It can be pricey so look for those club savings and keep your coupons. The produce is usually a little on the meh side.

We started going to this Vons when the Albertsons by our house closed down. I always find everything I need here. They have a good produce section and a good supply of organic products. Not the friendliest staff though. The people at the deli counter always seem irritated that they have to help you, and the guys at the seafood section never pay attention to check if anyone is waiting for their help. They should really invest in a bell because I feel uncomfortable have to call to them. read more

I am, yet again, impressed with Vons! I called from San Diego to order a floral arrangement, teddy bear and chocolates for someone to pick up and give as birthday gift. Megan (florist) was so helpful over the phone. I told her what I wanted and she put it all together for me. The floral arrangement was elegant and exceptionally made. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was when I saw the pictures. The prices are very low and quality superb! I highly recommend Vons for all your shopping needs! read more

I've had reasonably good service. I've never had to return my food. the store is clean and reasonably stocked. If you are going at night park at the west entrance, because they lock the other doors pretty early, in my opinion. read more

I had a bad experience with the bakery. They were unprofessional. I had ordered a cake for a special occasion. I went a week before my event, placed the order and paid in advance. No one mentioned to me the pick up time. I was just told that if I need to change the order to call two days in advance. Two days later , I wanted to add another filling so I called 2 days in advance and spoke to someone who was very unprofessional. She first said that she ran out of the frosting and does not know if the order will be ready by that date. In my mind, I was thinking I have never heard of anything like that anywhere. Then I told her that I want to add another filling and she said that she does not know how can she adjust the price bcs I have already paid, and I am thinking is this person serious. Eventually she ask someone and they told her how to do it. And I asked if she will let me know if they will not have my order ready and she said we will let u know the day before. They want us to call two days ahead to change our orders and on the other hand they do not give us enough time to have another plan. I was so upset and frustrated. I called the day before and spoke to another person and she said that the order will be ready before noon, she never mentioned that my original order was for 4:00 pm which I did not know about, so I thanked her and ended the call. On the day of I called at 11:00 am to ask if my order was ready and the same person that was unprofessional spoke to me and she said ur order is for 4:00 pm and I will not have it ready before noon. I told her that I spoke to someone the day before and she said it would be ready by noon, and she was saying no that's not what the order said and made seem like I called the day before to change my pick up time. I spoke to the supervisor's assistant and all she did was apologizing but never did something that made me feel like I received a good customer service. The were giving me the runaround, and I felt so upset that I did not get the I wanted cake on my special event. I ended up canceling the order and bought a standard cake from a grocery store. I decided not to go back ever to that store and let people know about their customer service. read more
