Waring Pro told me to kick rocks, and the next option was $60. So after a lot of research, I heard tell of a place akin to a radio shack, but more Costco than Shack - and a whole lotta radio. Electronics Supply - been around for over 60 years - is just a wonderful place for the tinkerer with electronics repair needs. There's an upstairs and a downstairs, a gaggle of extremely helpful staff, and they even have the curmudgeons of yore - those gentlemen of too much knowledge, and not enough cares - answer any question gladly, but stays in their chair, and hardly look at you while doing it. This place is a rarefied necessity of any advanced municipality with the capacity for ordering online. Honestly, these guys seemingly have anything an everything you can imagine - and they're very helpful to boot, which in this time of online garbage is welcomed necromancy! I bought a thermal fuse; I didn't know what I needed, but they did. They discussed the part in question, haggled over the possibilities, pulled it from the expansive selection in back, and after an entire dollar seventy five, I was out the door! I installed it, and viola! Waffles! I'm just over-the-moon excited about the possibilities! They have myriad tools and components, security systems and computer parts, and if you venture downstairs, you've ventured into the realm of commercial electrical supplies. Among a million other items, there is a full-blown server setup for sale, conduit for days, and any bracket, housing, cable, wire, transistor or capacitor you can manifest from your imagination. It's an electronics supply, but it's more than that. Like the armory or granaries of yore, this is a downright necessity of civilization in the heart of downtown Kansas City. I'll definitely be back for things and stuff. You should too! It's a shame more people aren't able to fix their own stuff anymore, and that number is shrinking. Thanks to the Electronics supplies of the world - a right contrivance of practicality in such the weary world of toss it and buy another.

I reached out, and Zack and Ryan were very quick to give a quote (super reasonable) and they were flexible with their availability with my strange schedule limitations! Overall, I will be looking to book this company again if I need to move again! First off, I was able to schedule over a week in advance easily with these guys. I had some scheduling conflicts for the Friday afternoon they could work me into their schedule, and after telling them this, they said they could do the move at 9 am that day if it worked for my schedule (which it did!). They also ended up getting to my house 15 minutes EARLY which was so helpful and better for them with the weather (it was 100 degrees forecasted for later in the day!). Even with the weather, these guys were super patient and so friendly. They really exceeded my expectations because I've heard some horror stories about movers--not these guys, they are AMAZING. They moved all my things from a first floor apartment to a third floor apartment (with no elevator--I'm so sorry!) with no issues. Everything was in the same shape as when the stuff left my other apartment. We ran into one snaffu (not any fault of theirs but mine!) when my couch couldn't fit up the stairway--they helped me move the couch back to my old apartment so that I could figure out what to do with it! I asked beforehand if they had issues with installing on Chevy's and they assured me they don't. My vehicle is under manufacturer warranty and had no issues prior. Well........ I'm back less than a week later to try to get it either fixed or removed and they want to install another one? Doesn't make much sense to me. Also the guys that actually work on the cars seem nice but the other staff are not friendly and don't greet or even acknowledge you as a customer. The owner was very rude and casual about the issue they created. I would not recommend this business at all. Very cold and uninviting environment and does not seem to value your business. In addition, after my account was paid off they would not release the cellular number associated with the panel so I could not change companies with it. I ended up replacing the system with Vivint; although they have their own issues, Vivint is far more reliable and user friendly to work with. Safe Haven is giving ADT a bad name. AVOID THESE GUYS!
