At Walmart I purchased the 2,000 piece Springbok puzzle "Cabin Evening Sunset". My partner and I in our jigsaw project are disgusted with the lazy approach to making this puzzle. All of the interior pieces are the same size and shape, and any piece can fit into almost any other piece. Most of the frame pieces can also fit almost any other frame piece. There are hundreds and hundreds of pieces that are in a solid color (blue sky, yellow sky, black water or black trees, etc.) without any image on them, which makes it impossible to know where they ought to go. Because of this lazy approach to cutting the pieces, our work is going at a snail's pace and it is no fun at all.
Our last project was MasterPieces' 1,000 piece puzzle "Noah's Ark Comes Alive," which we both loved. The pieces were cut into many different shapes, some of them very eccentric. That was tremendously helpful with the sky, the water, etc. In fact, "Cabin Evening Sunset" is the first puzzle we have done together that basically consisted of only one shape for the entire interior.
"Cabin Evening Sunset" is incompetently made. It was the first puzzle we purchased by Springbok and it will surely be our last one! read more
